R stayed at Rimkok Resort Hotel on 2008-07-01 and said, "Great value for money. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with several different cuisines served. After reading previous reviews we hired a car for the duration of our stay. A good choice as there are numerous day trips to hills, gardens and villages within easy drive of Chiang Rai.Internet connection is available for a small charge. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again."
Reto stayed at Rimkok Resort Hotel on 2008-02-17 and said, "Das Rimkok Hotel liegt an einer sehr angenehmen Lage und bietet einen guten Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältniss ist sehr Gut. Wenn am Morgen oder in der Nacht die Koffer vor der Zimmertüre durchrollen ist dies recht störend. Der Coffe-Room könnte etwas mehr Atmosphäre haben. Wir waren zufrieden, freuten uns aber auf etwas weniger Leute am Morgen im Hotel auf Koh Samui."
Keith stayed at Rimkok Resort Hotel on 2007-11-08 and said, "This hotel calls itself The treasure of the North I would call it the sunken treasure of the north awaiting rediscovery .The setting and pool area is magnificient but sadly thats where it all stops .In most cases the staff are unfriendly and unhelpful but there are exceptions . The toilet system needs a total overhaul and many tourists complaimed of toilets not flushing well .Cold water for showering is another major setback for this worn out old hotel .The breakfast is really bad compared with most other hotels we have stayed in Thailand . This is the very worst hotel we have ever stayed at in Thailand and we certainly would not stay here again ."
Anthony stayed at Rimkok Resort Hotel on 2007-02-28 and said, "Excellent resort. A massive place right on the river. Good if you want to spend a relaxing time and spend majority of your time in the resort. Loaction is a big problem as there is no public transport within walking distance. You have to rely on the bus service which must be pre booked (and by the way is not free).I found this a bit of a problem. The resort itself is excellent."
Linda stayed at Rimkok Resort Hotel on 2006-12-21 and said, "Once a beautiful hotel is now broken down and musty. Front desk staff was terrible. Trying to upgrade to a suite we were told there were no suites ( later found out via travel agency there were ) the suite was much bigger but the smell was so bad we thought twice about staying. Plumbing was broken. No way into town except hotel minibus which is double the price it costs to get a tuk-tuk and they say it runs once an hour ( if you are lucky ) and then they oversell the seats and you may get stuck waiting for another hour. Get to breakfast very early or you will find the food all cold and very little left. Overall a poorly run resort with so much potential."
Jack stayed at Rimkok Resort Hotel on 2006-11-01 and said, "Absolutely good value for money. Very good poolm area. Quiet calm, maybe a little bit too far out of towm, but a good place to relax"
Bruno stayed at Rimkok Resort Hotel on 2006-09-26 and said, "The best value of any hotel you can find at Chiang Rai. The only minus the hotel ist little far from the city center but you can enjoy the nice location at the river."
Robert stayed at Rimkok Resort Hotel on 2006-01-14 and said, "Very worn out. The lobby & its services are like a ghost town until the tour busses return in the evening. The ONLY way to go to & from town is via the Rimkok s shuttle which costs 60baht per person. The shuttle to the airport is 80baht. The food is so-so and the buffet is mobbed by the tour bus people until about 7:30. Then the dining room is dirty and they are slow to clean up. Staff is indifferent to the point of rudeness, bed was uncomfortable, and the room s industrial style carpet was badly worn. The only good thing was the pool, although it s pretty chilly being unheated."
Marco stayed at Rimkok Resort Hotel on 2006-01-02 and said, "intimidation of the guests! It was for the second time we stayed there, and also the last time! This time we where with 3 persons, and had a reservation for 3 beds.By arriving, the room was not ready, and only 2 beds in it.After a while (1 hour) the came with the 3th bed A stretcher for a child, max 1.70 meter. No problem for a child, but we are almost 2 meter each ! Explaining that that is not possible, and had a reservation for a BED !, the housekeeping did not understand what we mean.I moved the stretcher by myself out the room, and asked for the manager to solve this problem. After one hourAgainthey came with the stretcher again !And again I moved it personal out of the room. The only solution they had at that moment, was offering a other roomfor 1800 Baht extra !Out of the question, was our answer !In the mean time the clock shows 1 o’clock in the morning, and then the gived us the other room for FREE. Niceat least we can sleep.Next day we had a excursion, and in that time, they moved the 3th person out of the extra room, and in our room againwitha STRETCHER again !You can understand what our thoughts at that moment wasi can ensure you, that a stretcher indeed can fly!!!After a phone-call, the ensure me that they will solve the problemagain. After a few hours, 3 “strongthai-men stand for the door, and asked what the problem was…It was very impressive to see that, butthey forgot that we are also with 3 persons, andalmost 2 meters long!!!After we all stand-up, and I can tell you, that looks very scary ! the 3 thai-man goes away, and within 15 minutes we had a extra BED in the room!Well, I hope u understand, that it was the last time for me/us that we stayed in Rimkok resort!"

Fischer stayed at Rimkok Resort Hotel on 2005-11-02 and said, "overall good hotel although would benefit some repainting outside. There are several long wings in the hotel, with lots of rooms. wings 3,4,5,6 are better as they face river. The other wings face each other (not as good).Rooms have 2 single bed configuration. extra bed (foldable) on request (600 bath extra. For a family of 4+, 2 rooms are needed. Staff was nice as they did their best to change wings for my family (hotel was nearly full). indoor restaurant a bit depressing. use shuttle instead to City Center(every hour, 60 baths/person round trip). Bkfst ok.overall good value for the money.quite a lot of mosquitoes, due to the riverThey have a carrental office in the main lobby. Very practical. You can get a van with driver for 1400 Bath/day w/o gasolineThey have massage rooms in the lobby."
Mr.Robert stayed at Rimkok Resort Hotel on 2005-10-05 and said, "Large laid back hotel set on on its own gardens by the river to the north of Chiang Rai city. The staff were both efficient and friendly and our rooms were comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much and have already booked a return visit for February 06."
