RIES stayed at Tamarind Village on 2008-06-01 and said, "Tamarind Village is located right in the middle of the ancient city. 5 minutes walk from the Night Bazaar, lots of food around the area. You will not believe what you see when you enter Tamarind Village. Its beautiful, and full of green, flowers and the big Tamarind tree in the middle of the garden. The rooms are very nice with a beautifull decoration and everything you need. The breakfast buffet is excelent and the food is from a very good quality.A la carte menus are the same than in a 3 star Michelin restaurant from quality and presentation.Next time I stay again on this place."
Michael stayed at Tamarind Village on 2008-02-29 and said, "I had a good experience at the TAMARIND VILLGE in CHING MIA . The staff was very attentive to our needs and made us very welcome at the hotel and the restaurant. The grounds and the rooms are well keep up .I will go back again and i well recommend to others. The manager was very attentive to her guest and was available during the day and the evenings hrs."
Frazer stayed at Tamarind Village on 2008-02-22 and said, "Tamarind Village was in the heart of the old city but peacful and shielded from all traffic noise. A lot of effort has been made to provide traditional but comfortable accomodation. The experience was let down a bit by so so service. Breakfast was particularly poor, with an expectation that guests were to microwave soften yesterday s rock hard croissants, and a dinning location next to the pool resulting in late breakfasters in uneasy standoff with early bathers in an ambience that does nt quite work out. Overall, a fair value hotel and would stay again if rushing to book, but with time to search I would be curious to try out other accomodations in Chiang Mai."
robert stayed at Tamarind Village on 2008-02-20 and said, "our room was the Lanna deluxe which was designed beautifully with walk in shower. the only problem here was waiting for the warm water to arrive. the hotel has a nice pool and a few beds to relax on. the staff were friendly & helpful. breakfast carried a good range of foods to suit most.overall a very nice place to stay. a bit further from the night market than they suggest."
PHILIPPE stayed at Tamarind Village on 2008-02-19 and said, "Cet hotel est la représentation même du mot service . Le personnel est attentif, l hotel est superbement bien placé, un véritable ilot de verdure et de calme dans la vieille ville, le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel et les traitements du SPA sont fabuleux. Mon épouse et moi avons vraiment passé 3 jours extraordinaire !Excellente adresse, a recommander..."
Simon stayed at Tamarind Village on 2008-02-11 and said, "Excellent location in old town. Service exemplary. Lovely pool and delicious food but all on the pricey side. You get what you pay for!"
Renate stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-10-24 and said, "Friendly place. Rooms o.k. Tours offered too expensive."
Sarah stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-10-20 and said, "We absolutely loved this hotel. The service is amazing because everybody is so friendly and kind. The best parts must have been breakfasting next to the swimming pool in the morning, the swimming pool itself and the hotel s central location. To step out of the hotel and straight into the market was brilliant, especially when all the toursists were lining up to have their photo taken outside of Tamarind Village!"
Damien stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-10-14 and said, "Beautiful hotel, great room, even better breakfast. Highly recommended!!!"
Maya stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-10-02 and said, "Beautiful boutique hotel which is a oase in the old city center of Chang Mai. Make sure you get one of the renovated rooms though, which are more spacious, clean and dry! Friendly staff. Overall a good choice and worth the money. Would go back there again!"
Yvan stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-09-18 and said, "Probably one of the better hotels in Chiang Mai, kind of quiet for a young guy like me but def recommended for honeymooners and couples."
Peter stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-09-13 and said, "I checked in after a long flight from New York and was greeted by the most wonderful staff....this beautiful hotel has a boutique feel about it....the pool is relaxing and my room was just like staying at the Four Seasons....breakfast was served in a beautiful room with the omlete man cooking away poolside. I loved the tranquility, peacefullness and quiet after a day of activity in Chaing Mai......I would go back in a minute....you will not be dissapointed at all if you stay here !!!!!!!!!!!ps...Tam one of the waiters in the dining room was wonderful each morning....knowing that I needed extra butter on my waffles !!!!!!!"
Sue stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-09-05 and said, "Tamarind Village is a beautiful oasis in the old, walled city area of Chaing Mai. From the moment you turn into its bamboo lined driveway, the calm and graciousness of this lovely hotel will envelop you. We recommend it VERY HIGHLY. Breakfast, included in the room cost, was superb, the staff was incredibly helpful and over-all it was a perfect place for us to stay. We look forward to returning there as soon as possible!"
Stanis stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-07-29 and said, "Excellent boutique hotel well-located in the centre of Chiang Mai. Superb breakfasts."
Oscar stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-06-28 and said, "Great hotel, not as close to the night bazar as they make you believe in Sawadee.com.Great breakfast, nice friendly staff. They should fix the water temperature in the shower, hot to cold every 5 minutes."
Syed stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-06-22 and said, "A lovely hotel done up in a rustic setting but with all the modern amenaties. Nice and quite but only 10 minutes away from the busy night market. Timed our stay with the sunday market that is held right next to the hotel. The staff was very polite and friendly. Rooms were very clean and the breakfast was good. However I wish the Tamirind and the other hotels we stayed at in Thailand, would have some dishes of Hallal meat or chicken. On the whole a wonderful experiance."
Leanne stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-06-08 and said, "Tamarind Village and people of Chiang Mai were absolutely beautiful,Tamarind has very natural & peaceful surroundings staff excellent.Tamarind is a haven after the days touring or mixing with the locals, humidity in Thailand is stifling so to escape back to the Tamarind at the end of each day was very welcoming we would definately return."
Ross stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-05-28 and said, "We had a wonderfull time during our week stay. Staff and accomadation were excellent although for a deluxe room a little small. Attention to our needs and friendliness of staff 1st Class. Internet wireless connection back to rooms needs some upgrade for the business traveller. I needed to maintain daily contact so moving out of room to ensure connection annoying. Location perfect for those who like a little walk and the street market on Sundays a sight to behold (make sure you hold back with buying until you have seen this market, best I have ever been to). Will be back next year as we enjoyed our experince rather than a busy noisy impersonal large hotel.... Thanks to all"
Ashley stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-05-14 and said, "Wow, what a surprise! I liked it from the pictures before we left, but it was even better in person. The staff were amazing. Very helpful and genuine. They offered a going away special at the spa. We took advantage of it and were pampered with the aromatherapy massage before we left for Phuket. The breakfast was fantastic. Very filling. The hotel was in a perfect location. Just inside the old city, close to resturants and temples. Not to mention a huge three story starbucks! Loved everything about the hotel and staff, had an enchanting stay in Chiang Mai!"
Polly stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-03-16 and said, "I keep coming back to Tamarind cos I believe this is the best place to stay in Chiang Mai. The sunday market is just at the door step yet it s so quiet and peaceful, with everything just round the corner. High standard food at the restaurant and a nice breakfast to start a day. All the staffs are so friendly and kind, thanks again and see you all soon!"
Sam stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-03-07 and said, "Absolutely lovely hotel with an old Tamarind tree in the courtyard situated within the old, walled city. The pool is very large, the staff very friendly and helpful and the rooms are gorgeous with a lovely bathroom and we had a balcony. The breakfast is also very, very good - I totally recommend this hotel!"

Hanne stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-02-10 and said, "A LOVELY PLACE.This hotel is a peaceful, quiet, calming experience in the middle of the old town Chiang mai.We stayed in a Lanna DeLuxe room with our 2 children, and it was just perfect. The peace and quietness of this place is fantastic, when you enter from the town outside. It s a place to relax, after a long day exploring this area of Thailand. All staff members extremly helpsome and friendly.Restaurant good, breakfast good, not big, but tasty. I hope one day we will be back."
Ellen stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-02-07 and said, "Good location but the rooms are quite small. It is really worth it to pay the extra for the larger room and to ask for a room near the spa or away from the pool. Breakfast was okay but staff spoke excellent English and were really helpful in making reservations, helping us locate places in and around town, placing phone calls and they have an internet room you can use free of charge."
Stan stayed at Tamarind Village on 2007-02-02 and said, "An oasis of peace within the city. A wonderful hotel to stay in. The staff were very polite and pleasant, in fact some of the nicest staff I ve ever met in any hotel. The room was very clean and my only fault is with the swing doors into the bathroom. Yes I would return to this hotel without hesitation and I feel happy to recommend the hotel as a nice place to stay. Thank you to all the staff at the Tamarind."

Debbie stayed at Tamarind Village on 2006-07-02 and said, "Perfect location if you happen to be in Chiang Mai on a weekend to enjoy the weekend market which is literally right outside the hotel! It was one of the most fun nights. Make sure to get a foot massage from all the walking. We had rooms on the top and bottom floors which we enjoyed staying in for a good days rest. Accommodations were tastefully done, service was perfect and we would definitely come back!"

(or take a tuk tuk) The Tamarind rooms are in the process of being re-done. We loved Chiang Mai and when we return if we stay at the Tamarind we will ask for an updated room. The people and service at the Tamarind was excellent. As in all of Thailand we found everyone eager to accomadate us in any way they could. Very quiet hotel within the old city walls...we would highly recommend it!"
Geoffrey stayed at Tamarind Village on 2005-12-29 and said, "Excellent. Set in wondeful grounds, very tranquil and hard to believe right in the city and so easy to get to all the local sights. Would definately stay here again."

Claire stayed at Tamarind Village on 2005-12-12 and said, "This hotel was beautiful. It is like a little oasis in the heart of a bustling city! It is very central, 5mins walk from tae pae gate and 10mins from wat chedi luang and wat prah singh (2 sites you must see!). The hotel rooms are very clean and spacious, the staff were always polite and helpful and their was always a good selection of european and thai favourites for breakfast. We would definately recommend this hotel!"

The breakfast was wonderful, staff very helpful, bed linen like sleeping on a cloud. Best place We ve stayed in years!! We wish we could have stayed there the whole trip but had to move on to other cities."
Chris stayed at Tamarind Village on 2005-11-03 and said, "Hotel was nice and staff was very courteous and professional. That said, I still prefered our stay across town at Baan Orapin. It was half the price and in a nicer setting, but still very close to the east side of the moat."
Liat stayed at Tamarind Village on 2005-10-21 and said, "one of the most beautiful, quiet and special hotels i have ever stayed at, with great location."
Pauline stayed at Tamarind Village on 2005-07-25 and said, "We had three wonderful weeks in Thailand and stayed at some of the best hotels in Thailand and I have to say that we were very disappointed with the Tamarind Village. Over rated and very much over priced for what it is. The rooms are very dark with no mosquito nets, not enough loungers at the pool and no bar in the hotel. We were told by our Thai friends that it is very much aimed at the foreign market(therefore the price which is high by Thai standards). Other hotels in the same area were much more up-market and half the price. Wont be staying here again."
Julia stayed at Tamarind Village on 2005-06-22 and said, "The hotel is beautiful, the staff was friendly and the location was good--I would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay in Chiang Mai."
Joshua stayed at Tamarind Village on 2005-05-10 and said, "Tamarind Village is a fantastic location -- right in the heart of the old city within easy walking distance of the night market. Very cute and quiet. Great breakfasts included. Well-worth the money, and a much better option than something boring like the Sheraton or another large hotel. The pool could have used a thorough cleaning when we got there, but it was cleaned two days later. Bring bug spray for mosquitos. It would be good if they upgraded the towels -- ours were kind of ragged."
J. stayed at Tamarind Village on 2005-04-21 and said, "Staying at the Tamarind Village was one of the best decisions I made concerning my vacation. The staff was exceptional, the room was nice and kept very clean and the atmosphere was perfect. If anyone is deciding to vacation at Chiang Mai (which I also highly recommend) do stay at the Tamarind Village."
Lutz stayed at Tamarind Village on 2005-03-23 and said, "Excellent little hotel. The 3 deluxe rooms we had were superb. Perfect location in the old town, within walking distance to some old temples, quiet, friendly service, good food in particular the breakfast buffet. Night market a bit to far to walk. If we went to Chiang Mai again, we would certainly book this hotel."
