Millar stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2008-04-27 and said, "Great location right in the heart of night bazaar however the rooms were not as nice as the photos looked on the website. The staff were lovely and very helpful but quality of the rooms just let the place down. It must have been flash 70 - 80 s and they have attempted to upgrade but not quite cut mustard. The fridges are so old they almost look retro-cool. It just needs a bit of an upgrade. Food however was nice and considering the cheap price - you get what you pay for and it is worth it for the location, you walk out the door into the night bazaar madness. Pick up service was good too."
Samuel stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2008-04-12 and said, "The hotel was very nice. Its was clean and well maintianed. The breakfast was also good. I like spending time at the pool and it was nice and had towel service. The gym was minimal but some basic weights and a tred mid is the most you can expect any way. It was very well located near if not in the middle of the night bazar area. We rented a scooted and was in the midst of Songkran in about 2 minutes. I plan to stay there next year for Songkran."
Jillian stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2008-03-30 and said, "The Royal Princess has an excellent location in Chiang Mai - right in the night bazaar but yet not affected by the noise. Breakfasts are excellent. We were a little disappointed by the deluxe room we had especially after the ambience of the reception area (you d think you were entering a royal palace!). Overall, very pleasing."
Andrew stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2008-03-04 and said, "Great hotel for the price, great location for night market and an excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay again."
Suan stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2008-02-10 and said, "Hotel very nice and right in the middle of the night bazaar, which is convenient for shopping and eating. Good selection for buffet breakfast."
Phil stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2008-02-08 and said, "Excellent hotel, comfortable room, comfortable bed and enjoyed the restaurant both breakfast and dinner were very good. It is very close to the night bazaar which was great but no noise disturbance either. Was in easy walking distance to the old city. Would make a point of staying there again."
Daryl stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2008-01-17 and said, "Although not a new hotel, the facilities are very nice and supported by friendly efficient staff - I liked the breakfast concept and all food was fresh and menus rotated daily - noodles/soups etc.Location is very central, walking distance to anything you wish to see particilarly at night at the Bazaar."
Naomi stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2008-01-10 and said, "Our stay the royal princess was excellent. right in the center of the night bizare area ,a great location. the only real complaint is that the beds are too hard, like a rock, and ended up with back pain every day. however this applies to every hotel I have ever stayed in thailand. the rooms are a nice decor , but not very big , just enough room. The only other complaint would be that they love tiger balm or some incense of similar smell and all the hotel smelt of it. there was a good pool area , just big enough to relax in and a small gym which was good for a workout. Breakfast was a huge buffet included in the price and the food was excellent. Staff were great and attentive with good english ability. overall very good. Rates were about 3250bt per nigh so not super cheap but good quality without paying too much."
Elmer stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-12-21 and said, "Booked two rooms for 5 days including Christmas Eve. Good location if you want to be in the tourist area including the Night Bazaar. Right across the street is Duke s with what seemed like the best warm spinach salad and Swiss mushroom burger in the world after the hotel foot. Breakfast is adequate but the downstairs cafe food isn t exceptional and don t order the cheese burger. Our rooms were not on the Night Bazaar street and were quiet. There are many new hotels in Chiang Mai and there is speculation that the insiders belive gambling is coming to Chiang Mai. The Royal Princess has a lot of competition. The hotel internet rates are excessive but there are 60 and 30 baht per hour access spots easily accessible nearby including one across the street with Skype - when it s open."
Debra stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-09-17 and said, "A hotel with great location, right in the heart of the Night Bazaar. No complaints about the room (clean and spacious), the breakfast buffet was very good - the Thai selection was something we looked forward to daily and the staff was friendly and helpful."
Briana stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-08-10 and said, "Wonderful hotel in a great location. The rooms are large and clean, the staff is helpful, and the breakfast is delicious."

Linda stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-06-29 and said, "Great value for money. Location is excellent if you are wanting to be amongst the night markets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms a little outdated but the location certainly makes up for that. Breakfast was varied and enjoyable"
Anita stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-06-06 and said, "Really good location if you like the night market as it is right in the middle of it. Not noisy even at night but I guess I get the higher floor. Like the service of the hotel and the breakfast is good too. Room is a bit tired but spacious. Value stay overall!"
Matthias stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-05-13 and said, "Good location right at the night bazaar. Rooms are spacious and quiet with large mirrors. Furnishings and equipment are very old and used. Carpet, shower curtain etc. should be replaced. All in all a fair deal for 2200 Baht/per night. However, prices for any extras in this hotel are excessive compared to what I saw in Bangkok and Phuket. Internet access (works only with wire and you will need assistance to find the plug) costs 250 Baht per hour... Suggest to go Starbucks next door and surf for 150 Baht. Also laundry is twice or triple as much as it could be, so I did this when back in my Hotel in Bangkok."
Neville stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-03-07 and said, "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel which we found to be very comfortable. The only problem would be that our room had no view but was very quiet. The restaurant breakfast was excellent and the staff most helpfull. The location very good and would stay there again."
Storgaard stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-02-09 and said, "Fantastic hotel. We had deluxe rooms, they were good and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpfull. Children and adults enjoy the morning buffet.Close to night bazar and Mc donald and massage and spa. Woul stay here again."
Andy stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-02-08 and said, "Good location on the outskirts of the old town and in the middle of the night bazar. Good service friendly staff, good buffet in the morning. Only drawbacks are some rooms on the north side of the hotel have a view of a brick wall a few feet away, and the the hotel is in need of a brush up to mantain the up market image."
Frances stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-02-06 and said, "This was my first visit to Chiang Mai and I was glad to have stayed at this hotel. Although the rooms could do with some updating they are spacious and clean, and though the bathrooms are also dated the showers were good. The staff are excellent, courteous, friendly and helpful. Food in the ground floor restuarant was great and breakfast had European and Thai choices. Waiting staff served with smiles and class !Location is excellent being near the night bazzar and also opposite a couple of cheap and decent cafes, with more upmarket ones round the corner.I said I would also give a mention to a female taxi driver named Miss Porn (no joke !) who might appeal to females and families...she was a safe and pleasant driverI would recommend this location and this hotel"
Birthe stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-02-03 and said, "Exelent hotel, situated in the middle of Night market, very good breakfast an helpful staff. The service of the Hotel and cleanliness was good."

In our next visit to chiang mai i think this will be our hotel again and i will recommend it to everyone i know."
Liow stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-01-27 and said, "Superb Location. Surrounded by McDonald s, Starbucks, and of course right in front of the Night Bazzar. Service is polished, and breakfast is decent. Gym is rather basic, pool is clean. Would recommend it. My family enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the Thai hospitality. Keep it up!"

Chris stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2007-01-18 and said, "Hotel is clean and decent. The rooms are a bit old, but were clean. Great location. Would have liked the King size bed, but only doubles were available--just too small for two people to share."
Mabel stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2006-12-05 and said, "superb location. It was not noisy as opposed with what i read at the internet. We stayed at connecting superior rooms(3rd fl),it is spacious as compared with same class hotel nearby. One room with 2 super-single beds and the other room with king size bed with comfortable mattress and pillows. Front desk service is excellent too."
Stephen stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2006-11-12 and said, "A quiet refuge in the heart of the Night Market area.Spacious rooms, comfortable bed,and friendly staff.Stayed here many times and love the place."
A. stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2006-11-07 and said, "Breakfast really great and the rooms are big and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Night market is right in front of you. Easy to get around , only 10-15 minutes to the airport. I will visit this hotel again next trip."
Tim stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2006-08-03 and said, "The Royal Princess is smaller than we thought (which was a good thing), very friendly and family oriented. However, the rooms are a little tired and I think 3 stars would be a more appropriate classification. The pool is OK but for us was very noisy due to adjacent building work. Overall, excellent value for money and excellent location."
Vee stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2006-07-15 and said, "Strategically located near the Night Bazaar and interesting places. Can go to many good places easily just by walking. Breakfast is superb with a lot of varieties. Very friendly service. However, room rate seems a bit expensive for its size. I ll consider to stay here again the next time I visit Chiang Mai."
Keith stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2006-06-19 and said, "Lovely hotel. Located centrally, across the road from the busy night bazaar, but no stalls outside its doors. Staff were excellent, courteous and pleasant, always helpfull. Decor of hotel is modern and comfortable. Rooms were very nice, comfortable and all mod-cons. Breakfast offered a choice for all tastes as did the evening menu. Travel desk in hotel offered all required trips, but numerous TAT agencies also located around hotel. Distance from airport not far, distance from central moate area within walkijng distance - 10 to 15 minutes."
Shairon stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2006-04-28 and said, "The hotel was very nice and the lobby restaurant had wonderful buffet breakfasts and good meals all day. There were other choices in the hotel but we went out to explore - the location was great - right in the Night Bazaar market and the staff - esp the lobby lounge and the desk and housekeeping gave excellent service. We would stay there again."
Dr. stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2006-04-09 and said, "Nicely situated in the heart of night bazaar district. Close to all amenities including ATM s, McDonald s, and Starbucks etc (if that is important or you have kids, the hotel service was good. Pool area is great. Nice open pool with sun all day. Breakfast first class. Now the rooms.................. er.....I complained and was happy to be DOWNgraded to a Delux because at least it had a desk and some drawer space for my clothes. Can a hotel seriously offer rooms these days at this price with only some hanging space and no drawers provided? Apparently yes. The rooms looked tired and the tv was adequate.Would I stay again? NO. The rooms are disappointing at the price level. Considering this is part of the Dusit group, I found it disappointing. 6/10Would prefer Imperial Hotel should I travel north again. I checked it out and it looked and felt better to me."
Carrie stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2006-03-28 and said, "The hotel had great service and it was in a great location. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were very nice and clean and the food at the restuarants was wonderful. I would definitely go there again."
ahmed stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2006-01-11 and said, "great location in the middle of the night bazaar.clean and comfortable rooms.friendlly staff.the breakfast needs to add muslim food.we would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting chiang mai."
Philip stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-12-29 and said, "Unremarkable - but nothing majorly wrong to report. Smack in the middle of the Night Bazaar. That s very convenient but also means it can be very noisy in front despite double glazing."
Alan stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-12-07 and said, "Great location if you want to be right in the middle of town. Very large and clean rooms. Not impressed with food."
Vitaly stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-11-12 and said, "Great place.Room, food, service, especially service are great. No complaints at all."
Steve stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-11-05 and said, "A haven amidst the bustle of the Night Market street.Spacious, quiet rooms and a proffesional, friendly service from the staff.Stayed here many times and can recommend,"
David stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-11-05 and said, "The hotel had a great location for shopping as it is directly across from the night market. The view from the hotel is a little less than desireable, but the staff makes up for that. The rooms are a little old but comfy. The pool hours are from 7 - 7 which are a little early if you want to go for a swim in the evening you can t! All in all it was an enjoyable stay and would stay there again for it s location."
Byron stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-07-24 and said, "An outstanding hotel with the best breakfast (included) that I have experienced in many years of travel. The only drawback to the hotel: The plumbing was not the best, but the rooms were clean and the staff responsive. Excellent location next to the the night bazaar."
Helen stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-07-21 and said, "I would highly recommend the Royal Princess Hotel to anyone wanting to experience Chiang Mai. The location of the hotel is excellent - straight out the front door and you are on the Night Market with great shopping, great eating, access to tours and massages. The hotel itself, however, is a plush haven from the noise and activity on the street. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff were wonderful and friendly. I would definitely stay again."
Peter stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-03-23 and said, "Good location, right in the middle of the Night Bazaar, shops, etc. 10 min walk to the restaurants near the river. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.Would come back here again."
Michel stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-03-16 and said, "Very big hotel right on the night market.Breakfeast where the bests in all our trip. The only one to have sliced cheese. But the room was in the back of the hotel right above the hotel main row of AC fans witch made a constant noise in the room."
Mrs stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-01-31 and said, "The Royal Princess is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and the service impeccable. The breakfast was always taxing on the early morning brain - there was so much choice and it all tasted wonderful. The only drawback was the noise from the construction site next door and the roadworks, neither of which were the fault of the hotel. The proximity to the night market and local restaurants was also a big plus."
Wouter stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-01-27 and said, "The hotel is OK, though you end up between tour groups. Great breakfast! Rooms have been redecorated however still feel old. Location in the middle of the Night Market is good. We would probably go somewhere else in Chiang Mai next time."
David stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-01-16 and said, "We are very well traveled, been in many hotels around the world. Royal Princess Chiang Mai is an is an excellent acomodation, the best value you can get for every bat you pay. Best location, just in the heart of the night market. From the lobby, through the room, the dinning area, the hotel is a true Thai instalation. The reception staff very friendly, always with a smile and ready to answer every question. The room was outstanding, the breakfast out of this world. Food was presented on a very elegant way. Plenty of choises and every day a few different dishes. Great selection of fruits, salads, dairy products and wonderful backery. If you looking for an elegant place, where you can feel like the most important person in the house at the most resonable price, this is the place to stay. My wife and I already miss this hotel and look forward to come back to it in a future visit to Thailand."
Timo stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2005-01-07 and said, "Locationwise Royal Princess is perfect for browsing the Night Market and surrounding areas. However the next door hotel is constructing a new wing and they are working on the site sometimes even all night. Especially the north-west facing rooms are badly affected as well as the pool area on the second floor."
Mr.Frank stayed at Royal Princess Chiang Mai on 2004-11-08 and said, "The hotel was one of the finest we had during our Thailand trip. In hindsight I wish I d booked a couple more nights here. It is very conveniently situated at the night bazaar. Rooms are very nicely decorated in modern Thai style. The breakfast buffet is great. Only drawback were the high prices at the hotel s restaurants, but then again, there are plenty of restaurants to be found in the near vicinity of the hotel."
