Joseph stayed at Life Up Longstay Resort & Spa on 2004-12-05 and said, "the hotel is located at middle of trees, bushes, and probably paddy field. you see rural view from which ever room you are in. the 1st floor has many different spa facilities, and a swimming pool. it is nice to stay at the pool and look at the structure of the resort. the 2nd floor is the lobby and restaurant area. it is spacious and beautiful. the 3rd and 4th floor are guest room. however 4th floor guest room are not fully complete, and i think they stop the work. so i think only the 3rd floor guest room, which i think got about 10 to 15 room in total, is stayable. now, when i stayed there with my family, we occupied 2 rooms at the 3rd floor. the rest of the rooms dont have guests. sad, because it made us wonder why... for the breadfast, they dont have the usual buffet, but they made some simple toast, bacon, eggs for us. it was a nice breadfast nevertheless, as the air there is cold, and the sun is nice, and the staffs tried to help, just as we try to accomodate. we can chat with staffs and the staffs can play with my 1 year old baby as she run around the restaurant tables. it is not convenient to go out from the hotel really because it is in the middle of country road. so the two-rowed sitting songthaew taxi (the type of taxi in chiang mai) dont even know the place. it is about 1.2km from the main road. there is a Maejo university at the main road, and that is the guide we will inform the taxi driver. there are surely more staffs in the resort then guests as my family were the only guests there. we reached the resort late at night, and at first really wonder where the hell were we ! our immediate feeling we we shouldnt be staying there! but the next day, when the sun went up, everythings look good. we can appreciate the scenery and look around the resort facilities. we are the type of tourists who dont eat in hotels nor resort, so my parents and my wife and baby walked out to the main road which took them 45 minutes, to look around. well, the resort provide the transport one way, but at about 300 baht, which i think is costly. i stay back and went to the swimming pool. night time, we ate instant noodles. well, as i said, it is not that the resort doesnt cook, just that it is a norm for us not to eat in hotels, which generally cost much more. i also went to chat with the staffs at night, and when they knew i reserved a songthaew taxi in advance for my hotel transfer in the next morning, they told me they will provide the transfer free of charge. the staffs helped me called the driver and cancelled it. as they said, from hotel to airport, or from airport to hotel, or hotel transfer, all this are provided free of charge by the hotel .the next morning, the resort staff sent us to another hotel in the city, about 15km with their mercede benz free of charge. overall, i enjoyed my stay there. i felt as if i have booked the whole resort during my stay there. the staffs are helpful.advise to others. by all mean book the hotel you like. the only issue is the transport. you can pre-arrange that when you reached chiang mai. just flag down a songthaew taxi in the city or small town and tell them you want them to pick you up at destinated time in the hotel, and they will. when my family went back to the resort by the songthaew taxi at the main road, they only pay the driver 20 baht for a distance of 1.2km. it is quite simple."
