W stayed at Karinthip Village on 2007-10-19 and said, "second time here and again very nice to stay, near night market and warorot marketI love it"
Mr stayed at Karinthip Village on 2007-06-14 and said, "This is infact the second time we have stayed at this hotel , the first time was on honeymoon and we had a satisfactory experience but unfortunately this time will be the last due to the terrible levels of customer service received on this trip and outrageous over charging. On our second night in the hotel I turned on a tap in a normal manner and the appliance broke off into my hand spraying water everywhere, we informed staff and they very curtly informed us that we would have to move rooms and pay for a new tap! We tried everyway to argue that the hotel must take responsibilty for appliances but they insisted that becuase the tap worked before we used it and was quite new, we must have broken it, in the end we had to pay over £40.00 or face criminal charges!! It was even more frustrating as every quote they gave us for the tap increased by the day?! We asked to hotel policy and there was nothing relating to this kind of situation, staff admitting that this was the first time this had happened and they were not sure how to deal with it!! We asked to speak to a manager and told there was not one available at any time.We had paid in full not expecting there to be any problems , so we tried to check out early and told we would also be charged a full nights accomodation as a fee! After this we requested late check out and were quoted a price of £15, however upon check out were charged £30 !! they explained this was a mistake and again there was no reasoning with any of the staff and we were obliged to pay as we had a plane to catch! This whole experience was frustrating and stressfull and ruined our time in the city.We could not recommend this hotel and in our opinion feel that if you want a relaxing time and peace of mind you should stay elsewhere, either that or dont touch the taps!!!"
Manfred stayed at Karinthip Village on 2007-03-07 and said, "A nice looking place with beautifull rooms. We had bad luck with roomservice. Returning late in the evening from a long day we found the rooms not done, o. k. may happen. Someone was send to fix it but not well done. No compensation for that and that is poor management because the hotel is not a cheap place to stay. I will choose a new place next time."
Tristan stayed at Karinthip Village on 2007-03-02 and said, "It s a pleasant place, an oasis close to the Old Town from ChiangMai (only 5 minutes to walk). Very quit. Rooms are clean, the pool need to be renovated. No breakfast-buffet at this time (maybe it depends on the quantity of guests)."
Edward stayed at Karinthip Village on 2007-02-15 and said, "An excellent hotel-a quiet enclave from the bustle of the town though only a short walk from the old gate and the old town and an easy ramble down to the night market."
Thomas stayed at Karinthip Village on 2007-02-11 and said, "We enjoyed our stay a Karinthip in Chang Mai (4 days). The hotel is almost like a resort, with a very nice pool garden surrounded by the nice appartments, even though the hotel is located in the center of the town. You have only 5 to 7 minutes walk to night market. Rooms are clean but small. Buffet breakfast is ok, and staff are friendly, but the service is not world class. We ordered a taxi transfer to the airport (10 minutes) and we were told that the price was 800 bath. Instead we found a taxi-bus outside the hotel (150 bath). The staff is not very helpful to help you arranging tours, and the service is expensive (hotel taxi, busses, etc). But the location, rooms and pool is very nice for a family with kids."
R. stayed at Karinthip Village on 2007-02-08 and said, "Karinthip is hard to find in ChangMai.Other than that we had a great stay. The room was nice, not to big by the way.The restaurant served nice food. Staff was very friendly!Location of Karinthip is in the center of Changmai. Easy starting point for your city hikes and trips to e.g. The Night Bazaar and all the restaurants. We would stay here next time we go to Chang Mai."
Janet stayed at Karinthip Village on 2007-01-19 and said, "Clean hotel and pool, very central location but hidden from the main road. Breakfast is poor. The hotel looked after my bags while we went off hiking for 3 days at no cost and were obviously used to doing this for people. I found the staff s attitude rather unfriendly but that may have been the language difference. It would not put me off staying again."
suzie stayed at Karinthip Village on 2007-01-14 and said, "Stunning - an oasis of calm so close to the city walls and night market but so quiet you d never know just how close you were. Room was the cleanest we stayed in. Pool was lovely, great breakfast. Thank you."
Jim stayed at Karinthip Village on 2007-01-05 and said, "Nice location, away from street noise. Good sized pool. But rooms are spotty and need new paint/refreshing. Also, front desk runs hot and cold re: friendliness/helpfulness"
Linda stayed at Karinthip Village on 2007-01-01 and said, "We enjoyed our stay at the Karinthip Village. The rooms are dark and definately worn, could use some updating. Thought the sur-charge for New Year s Day was not necessary since we arrived that day in the afternoon and the rates were already inflated for that time of the year. The buffett breakfast was a disappointment. Lack of choices and alot of empty dishes was common. Was in a good, safe & central location for getting around on foot. Pick-up & Drop off service was good and driver went out of his way so we could stop and exchange money."
Acker-Widmaier stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-12-20 and said, "nice hotel with pool, relative silent location in the center of chiang mai. Negative: not for people who like really hot showers (40 Celcius or more)"
David stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-12-16 and said, "Great location. Just off the main road around the old city moat. Surprisingly quiet for a location like this. Very near the Sunday night market within the old city too.Location is also not far from the good restaurants along the Ping River and the Wororot Market.Just that I find the room is rather small for a party of 3. Hotel ambience is great, try sitting in the garden for breakfast. Hotel staff is great too."
ANG stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-12-09 and said, "Serene and beautiful setting. Stayed on the first floor overlooking the pool. Wide balcony - good place to sit around with travellilng companions. The room is a bit cramped with some dark heavy antique storage space. Bed is comfortable though. Bathroom is clean. Breakfast is disappointing! The toaster was not functioning well, porridge was cold, fruits were mushy, noodles were stringy and tasteless. Had to jostle with some local tour groups during breakfast."
Brian stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-11-30 and said, "nice hotel a short walk from everywhere but peaceful pool&gardenspool much smaller than it looks and cold but welcome relief to cool down rooms clean n tidy but no sport or movies staff very helpful good value for money"
claudia stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-11-25 and said, "nice place but service was not too good as staff s english is not good enough to be able to solve problems of any kind."
Lyn, stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-11-20 and said, "Karinthip Village is an excellent Hotel in a great Location in Chiang Mai. The lovely gardens separated the hotel from the nearby noise of the bustling city. An oasis close to restaurants, markets and just out side the old walled city. The Swimming Pool was refreshing and clean. The rooms were clean, well furbished, and very comfortable. We requested adjoining rooms, which we got. Breakfast was adequate and the coffee was superb. There is a laundry service around the corner and for 30 Baht per kg you can have you clothes beautifully washed by a delightful women. We would certainly stay at this hotel again. Sawadee were efficient and we will not hesitate to use their booking service in the future. Thank you Lyn & Geoff & Emily. Victoria. Australia"
Claudia stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-11-14 and said, "Lovely quiet hotel right Perfectly located in the heart of the city. Our deluxe room was very nice. We stayed one day longer as planned! Hotel staff is very friendly and some also speak english."
Tami stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-11-13 and said, "Very relaxing! Nice, clean rooms, great pool w/lots of sitting areas - sun or shade. Pretty gardens. Good evening meal in the restaurant but breakfast selection not as great. Distance to Night Market may be challenging for those who don t like to walk (15min) but tuk-tuks right outside gates. Hotel is tucked in from main street so very quiet. Nice oasis after the jam-packed market. Staff friendly but their English is not too strong. Still able to work things out though and they agreed to store our bags while trekking for no charge since we were returning to the same hotel. Cheap laundry service right across from hotel. Would stay here again."
Ang stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-11-11 and said, "Reception staff very friendly, cheerful & helpful.Room lovely & clean.Restaurant food delicious & reasonably priced.Location-walking distance to Warorot Market. Will recommend to friends."
Rosie stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-10-17 and said, "The Karinthip was perfect for us, travelling with 2 young children. It was a little oasis away from the bustle of Chiang Mai, but still easy walking distance to the old city. Although the rooms do not have private balconies, there are seating areas on the communal terrace, so we could sit outside in the evening while the children were sleeping.Staff very friendly. Breakfast more than adequate and there s a great Pad Thai shop just across the road (look for yellow sign). We stayed in a deluxe room on the upper level."
Kadrnoska stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-09-01 and said, "pick up from airport worked fine(sawadee aranges it for you), the location is really convinient.. it s a 3min walk to the thae pae gate(=start of the inner city with all the temples)to the nightbazar you can walk in 10min or take a local red bus for 20THB per person(don t pay more that s the price for locals..)..our room was small but nice and clean... weather was perfect though raining season, only rained once for 1 hour(and of course during night time)"

Claudio stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-07-17 and said, "Resonable price for a beatiful hotel. The garden was lovely and the room was really nice, like all the fornitures in the hotel but not very spacious. Is located near che centre. If we come back in Chiang Mai we will stay there again for sure."
Huub stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-05-24 and said, "It was a very nice hotel. The rooms are very nice and well decorated. They have all the stuff you need; airco, safe, fridge and TV. It is a quiet resort in a very busy city. The pool and the garden are beautifull. The restaurant was okay, but there were not many guest (low season), so we often went out for lunch and dinner. But in the end; its a very nice place to stay!"
George stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-04-17 and said, "Very comfortable room; pleasant garden and pool area that provides a quiet oasis from the noise of the Chiang Mai streets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again."

Sandy stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-03-27 and said, "The staff were friendly and accomodating. Also very helpful with enquiries and bookings. On request for a taxi, one of the staff members went out into the street and returned with a taxi!!. The room was neat and comfortable but the lighting was not sufficient. The bathroom was also clean. I also enjoyed the swimming pool and the gardens. It was a good place to relax in after a hectic day of sight seeing. Overall, one of the best places that I stayed at during my visit in Thailand."
Sarah stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-03-26 and said, "A relaxing oasis in Chiang Mai. Great value for money. Friendly, helpful staff. Small rather dark rooms, but the poolside is lovely. Food is delicious although much cheaper out of the hotel. Would certainly stay there again."

D. stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-02-01 and said, "Pleasant hotel and good room- although a little dark in terms of lighting. Staff was pleasant and helpful although not much English spoken. Good value for the money- great location- not far from the night market (a must experience)"
ROGER stayed at Karinthip Village on 2006-01-21 and said, "Le KarinThip est un excellent hotel. Le personnel est très symphatique. Il est parfairement situe, pres d un temple, au calme et malgre tout à deux pas des lieux à visiter dans Chiang Mai.Le petit déjeuner servi dans le jardin, est très bien. N oublier pas de demander leur fameuse omelette, qui n est pas servie systématiquement."
Tobbe stayed at Karinthip Village on 2005-12-14 and said, "Very nice hotel in the middle of Chiang Mai! Very efficient and nice staff. Very quiet during the night. Good pool in a fine courtyard. The only thing not so good was the breakfast. But I will absolutely stay here again!"

Ciara stayed at Karinthip Village on 2005-11-13 and said, "We stayed at the Karinthip ville for three nights and it was excellent; the hotel is so close to the centre of Chiang Mai, so you can walk to the centre in a few minutes, the hotel itself was relaxed, lovely pool area and tastefully decorated, the staff were helpful. The only thing we didn t like about our stay was that the hotel overcharged us for using the hotel minibus to take us to the airport for our return flight, beware of overcharging for transport, but overall i would definitely recommend the hotel"
Sonja stayed at Karinthip Village on 2005-10-31 and said, "The hotel is very nice and not far away from the hustling and bustling city. We had a nice deluxe room, the staff was friendly and the food in the restaurant was very good. Try it out!"
Paul stayed at Karinthip Village on 2005-10-10 and said, "This is the second time I ve stayed at the Karinthip and I simply love the place. It s location sees you with a 5 minute walk to either the Night Bizaar or the Day Markets (Warorot Markets)in Chiang Mai. If walking isn t your style, then the resort offers a free limousine shuttle bus service twice nightly to the Night Markets. I stayed in a Deluxe Room - gorgeous furnishings, super cold air conditioning (which is sometimes a welcome relief to the heat outside!) and all the comforts you expect from a 4 star establishment. The staff and service are superb. The pool area is just beautiful, even more so with lanterns lit in and around the surrounding gardens. The resort Restaurant itself is fantastic also - the food always top notch, and prices start at 60-70 Baht for full dishes. They also make the best Mai Tais I ve had anywhere in the world :) If approx $75 AUD/night is in your budget - treat yourself to this little gem -you won t regret it. I will be coming back for a third visit no doubt!"
Raymond stayed at Karinthip Village on 2005-05-06 and said, "I enjoyed my stay at Karinthip Village very much due my trip to Chiang Mai! The resort-like hotel exudes a very nice and laid back atmosphere despite being in town. Its staff members were all excellent and were unfailing in their smiles! The receiptionist were very cheerful and pretty too!"
