Andrew stayed at Kaomailanna Hotel & Resort on 2008-01-20 and said, "The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport. This is a nice comfortable hotel with most friendly and helpful staff. It was nearer the main road than we expected but the traffic couldn t be heard from the rooms, which are quite unique and of a good standard. The gardens are pleasant and the atmosphere is one of peace and quiet. The food on offer is fine, although there is little to find as an alternative within walking distance. For those looking for an out of town location, close to all the things people want to see and do in the region (e.g. Doi Interon and Chang Camp etc), then for the price Kaomailanna is hard to beat."
michael stayed at Kaomailanna Hotel & Resort on 2007-10-04 and said, "This is an ideal getaway if you re looking for something truly peaceful, so perhaps not quite suitable for children. But in all other ways I cannot recommend this resort enough. The setting is magnificent, the grounds have been tended with great care. The staff are extremely friendly and polite and the food is not only reasonably priced, it s absolutely delicious too. Not having your own transport could make this a difficult choice but still a managable one. All in all a very memorable experience."
Keith stayed at Kaomailanna Hotel & Resort on 2007-01-31 and said, "These old tobacco barns provide most unusual accommodation. Really different from anything else we stayed in. A quiet hide-away that s not for ravers. Huge bed in a good size room. Quirky old furniture and nice decor. The ground floor units must be pretty dark though because of the luxuriant greenery surrounding each barn.In early February it was chilly in the evenings and at breakfast - staff were wearing scarves and thick jackets. But lovely and warm after 10am. We had the huge pool to ourselves for three days. Just pick up the poolside phone and order food and drink - Bliss! Great cocktails. A wonderfully atmospheric and cheap local Saturday market at San Pa Tong. Borrow the bikes and cycle there."
Dana stayed at Kaomailanna Hotel & Resort on 2005-12-27 and said, "This was our second visit here. This is a unique place to stay without the crowding, noise and fumes of downtown Chiang Mai. All rooms are in small building that were once tobbacco curing barns with only one room per floor. The grounds are large, well manicured. The pool is one of the largest in Thailand and done very well.I recommend staying here and driving or taking the local bus service into Chiang Mai. Also, the restaurant is good and the prices on the whole are very good value."
Robert stayed at Kaomailanna Hotel & Resort on 2005-11-22 and said, "nice hotel on the way beetween chiang mai and doi inthanon. very large rooms in renovated tabac barns. large, clean pool area. negative: nothing really exciting around the hotel, i would recommend staying maximum 3 nights, or you see it as a good-price-quality stay for some day trips, if you have your own car available."
Dana stayed at Kaomailanna Hotel & Resort on 2005-11-17 and said, "Beautiful large park-like setting with a huge pool and beautiful gardens. Rooms are large and very unusual. Very friendly staff."
Chian stayed at Kaomailanna Hotel & Resort on 2004-12-01 and said, "Very unique and unusual resort settings and environment.Friendly and helpful (as ever) staff always willing to answer your queries and questions.Room is big and spacious though shower room is slightly dim to my liking.Food at the only resort restauarnt is authentic and very exciting to the taste-buds (I am a chilli-padi person but the spicy hot food is real PHET!).Pool comes with jacuzzi and great greenery set-up.Overall, worth the stay while in Chiangmai!"
