Kaitlin stayed at Down Town Inn on 2008-03-21 and said, "You truly do get what you pay for. The pool is very small and not very appealing. Many of the rooms reak of cigarette smoke and the hotel tried giving us a room with 2 beds when we booked a room with one bed. The staff wasn t that friendly and when we asked to use the phone to see if our flight was ontime, they wanted to charge us a lot of baht. Throughout my 11 months of travelling in Thailand and surrounding countries, this was probably the worst hotel I stayed at. The only good thing about this hotel is its convenient location to the night market."
BUCCELLI stayed at Down Town Inn on 2008-03-15 and said, "Definitely good value for money, very nice and smiling staff, hotel well situated, with a pool, buffet breakfast. Not sure what to add, besides saying I would certainly return to Downtown Inn next time in Chiang Mai!"
Robert stayed at Down Town Inn on 2008-02-20 and said, "We had a very nice stay in this hotel. Clean rooms and very quiet. We will choose this hotel next time.Person who drive us on tours was wery good person.Only 1500B for the whole day is cheap price."
Lisa stayed at Down Town Inn on 2008-01-08 and said, "Small but convenient hotel. Rooms are clean but a bit old and have a slight musty smell. But for a cheap convenient hotel near the night markets, it does the trick"
CHEN stayed at Down Town Inn on 2007-12-27 and said, "Hotel is clean and really close to nightly hot spot. Extra Bed costs 300B yet doesn t include breakfast (costs me extra 150B). The hotel s pool is clean and had a chilly swim in the morning."
Robert stayed at Down Town Inn on 2007-11-12 and said, "The location and general service were great at the hotel, but the small twin beds was not very comfortable at all. Breakfast was very good and had a good selection. Only blemish was upon checkout when management falsely claimed I owed 800 baht for a long distance call to Hawaii, and showed me a computer log of the call, which was nonsense. Only after about 10 minutes of my firmly insisting no local or international calls were ever made, and my Thai friend clearly stating to them in Thai that I had my own mobile with long distance did the manager relent and said I would not be charged. Whether this was a computer error, the cleaning people making a call, or a scam - I can t say, but it did sully an otherwise flawless experience."
lynn stayed at Down Town Inn on 2007-11-09 and said, "older hotel, basic but clean. hotel staff very helpful very good value for money and right in centre of night bizzare. Breakfast could be improved but otherwise stay there very enjoyable. wouldmstay again"
Harry stayed at Down Town Inn on 2007-01-23 and said, "I can t say anything good about this hotel everthing was bad"
Wee stayed at Down Town Inn on 2006-07-06 and said, "Room quite decent for price but a bit neglected since my last visits. Standard necessities like shampoo, liquid soap and even hand tissues not provided. No complimentary drinking water in fridge as found in most hotels in BKK. Vehicle ferrying guests to and from the main road frequently breaks down. Frustrating especially at nights when you can t tell if it will turn up ot not since there is no way to communicate wih the hotel. The staff are however quite friendly and helpful."
Mr.Matthew stayed at Down Town Inn on 2005-05-14 and said, "nice friendly hotel in convenient but quiet location, good food, slightly pricey drinks but they had a 3 for 2 offer on so this compensated, clean comfortable room and very pleasant staff, I would definitely come here again and recommend the downtown inn"
John stayed at Down Town Inn on 2005-04-12 and said, "Hotel is sub-standerd. Very small bath room. The Front Desk was rude. They did not want to honor pre-paid reservations. The breakfast was not very good and out of food most of the time. My 2nd time at this hotel. Same problems. Will not go again. Over priced and poor attitude."
La stayed at Down Town Inn on 2005-02-20 and said, "Excellent location, close to the night bazaar but very quiet. The room was clean and spacious except for the bathroom. Plenty of hot water and the A/C worked fine. The staff was friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast but nothing exceptional.Overall, we were pleased with the hotel and would return."
Yu stayed at Down Town Inn on 2005-02-09 and said, "On our next return to this hotel, we didn t have problems with room bookings. Everything went well. The location of this hotel is excellant. Just a minute walk to the night bazaar and lots of eating places. Rooms are clean and basic. Staff are so-so."
Yu stayed at Down Town Inn on 2005-02-03 and said, "A bad start to our stay in Chiang Mai. We had already booked and paid for 2 x deluxe rooms a month prior to our arrival. When we got there, we were told all deluxe rooms were taken and only std. rooms were available. The staff hotel wanted to check us in the standard rooms for the night and move us to deluxe rooms the next day. We were prepared to have the standard rooms provided we were refunded the difference in cost. But they refused, saying that the hotel manager was away and the staff had no authority to refund us. We stood our ground and demanded for the rooms that we have paid for. Finally, we were put up in a suite and a deluxe room."
Nick stayed at Down Town Inn on 2004-12-17 and said, "Very basic with lumpy beds and a primitive bathroom and shower. The previous time I was in Chiang Mai, I stayed at the Star Hotel just around the corner, which was much much better for a similar price. Unfortunately it was fully booked this time but it s a far better option"
Peter stayed at Down Town Inn on 2004-11-16 and said, "My stay at Down Town Inn was very comfortable. Nice clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Very handy for the night bazaars."
Chris stayed at Down Town Inn on 2004-11-07 and said, "Great location near to nigth bazaar, friendly and helpful staff (they were willing to forgive me the cost of the return taxi to the airport because the airport taxi service failed to show up, whcih was probably my fault). Very pleasant rooms, adequate breakfast."
