Evgeniya said, "This is a pleasant hotel with good service and location. We have got everything we waited."
DS said, "It is a hotel in a good location and easy to get around from there. The onoy disapointing was the Breakfast in the morning. When i checked in i be told it will open until 10am so first day i go at 9:45 and most of the food items was empty and there was really not one who checked and may like to refill. The fowlling days the same even once i come 9:15.The bread was not that fresh and when i ask for, there was only danish coming. And every day at exactly 10 am the kitche staff come to clear the whole buffet but no staff ask or inform any guest before they clear if guest may like to have something else.Instand most of staff were standing behind counters and talking with each other."
Anthony said, "Excellent location, staff very pleasant and helpful.Room was newly renovated andvery comfortable. I usually stay Sukhumvit area but cannot find this quality of hotel for the price. I will certainly return to this hotel when next in Bangkok."
Sari said, "We room service are good! Narai hotel is opposite to this hotel and I have been there also. It is little bit more fancier mut this has bigger rooms and much better pool place!Silom road is good place if you want short distance to Lumpini park, River, or Siam Square and all the department stores. 20 thb by BTS skytrain from Chong nonsi station to Siam!Good value for money in low season! Not sure about high season prices?"
Magdalene said, "The hotel was great! We upgraded to the deluxe room and it was really nice- especially for the price. Good location, helpful staff- would definitely stay again."
Ulrich said, "Basically a nice, centrally located hotel. Very friendly staff. The hotel itself needs urgently an update of the interior. The price ratio is very good, especially for a centrally located hotel."
Andreas said, "After bad experiences on earlier visits (run-down, dirty curtains, stained carpets and furniture, bad maintenance) with standard rooms, I took deluxe room now. Much better, these rooms can be really recommended. Otherwise, a no-frills hotel with indifferent staff in good location. Good value for money."
Andersson said, "We have we will shure come back. Everything here is great, good service, nice rooms, great location, great breakfast buffé etc.Extra credits for the restaurant and pool on the roof!Greetings from sweden"
Andersson said, "Nice hotel and very nice and frendly staff. Good location, we have pool on the roof everything is perfekt!"
Ken said, "I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with the rooms being well presented & roomy. I would recommend to anyone that this is a very good hotel to stay at in Bangkok and I look forward to my next stay there."
Monica said, "We are very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. 5 min walk from the BTS station. Professional and pleasant stuff. Elegant room. Good breakfirst. Nice skybar and restaurant at the roof with a fantastic wiev over Bangkok. Internet cafe close to the reception. We can absolutely recomended this hotel. Price ok."
Masaya said, "The hotel is a very wonderful hotel. The staff is kind. The room is wide and clean. It is possible to use Internet in the room. I want to uses the hotel again."
Michael said, "I have said, "affordable hotel, good location, spacious rooms and very comfortable.. next to patpong night market and not far from Siam square and suan laum bazar. i highly recommend this hotel"
Lena said, "A great hotel, we got a very big room with everything you can possible need and more. Good food on the roofrestaurant and a very nice breakfast buffe. I can well recomend it."
David said, "The hotel is well located and the breakfast is really good but the room was quite old and smelly."
Rudolf said, "The hotel is near the SkyTrain and provides an comfortable service. The rooms are european standard. The breakfast is also very european, altough you get typical thai foos also. I can recommand this hotel without any concerns."
Andrew said, "I didn t like this hotel, the bathroom was small and old. There was not enough sun beds for all the guests and the service and music on the top floor restaurant were not good. The breakfast was very good but the Silom road is grid-locked from 4.00 until 7.00."
Daniel said, "I stay at Unico Grande allready 5 or 6 times but I still dont figure out why the Houskeeping dept has not improved. 1 day there is no soap ,1 day there is no toilet paper and so so all the rest of the hotel is very good specially breakfast with best female egg coocker in Bangkok."
Marius said, "maybe it s a good value for money (can t even compare to other Bangkok hotels) but wouldn t stay here again - would pay extra for the posh one or try to find some nice homelike little boutique one. This one needs renovation/redesign badly! Reception stuff quite quick and helpfull though."
Lynn said, "arrived at hotel ay 6.00am staff very helpful did not have a doubleroom immediatley available but were offered a twin room we could use straight away.the room was very spacious and could do with redecorating but on the whole very good value for money. Breakfast was plenty of choice and very nice coffee shop. Pool on roof top was small for size of hotel but very pleasant. All staff very helpful and location to silom and bts stations good. would stay at this hotel again"
Eng said, "My family e Silom for two nights. The hotel room was very large, very good for a family of 4. The furniture and fixtures are a bit old but the hotel is very clean. Breakfast was ok, with a good spread considering the room rate per night. The location is very good as it is within walking distance to shopping in Silom and about 10 mins to BTS. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay."
Timo said, "Great value! Location is perfect, only 5min walk to skytrain station. I recommend this hotel!"
Jim said, "Execllant as usual. Breakfast is great!"
Steven said, "I e Silom Hotel. The room was very large, although the bathroom was very small. The hotel is in the process of needed renovation but it is very good value for the price paid. The staff was friendly and the buffet breakfast was good. My room was quiet and the location of the hotel is wonderful."
Astor said, "the staff of the hotel is helpful and kind. I stay in l2fl.that the room and the corridor s design is very old and had the smell of insect spray, it make me not feeling well"
Shu said, "The hotel is pretty run down, unlike the photos we saw on the internet.Breakfast is only so so, going by Bangkok hotel s standard. Room is considered spacious though."
Torsten said, "I had a great time at the hotel and in Bangkok. The hotel seems a bit old but very clean and spacy rooms. The breakfast was very good and the staff very nice and helpful. The location is close to the sky train, around 10 minutes walk. All this for a good price. Be careful with the tuktuk and the taxi drivers, they always try to cheat you. For travelling around the staff from the front desk of the hotel sent me to a travel agency around 100m from the hotel called Paramount Travel. There they helped me very much to find good and cheap travels and also other cheap hotels. I certainly will come back to the hotel and also use this agency again. Both were perfect."
TRONG said, "Good location, close to skytrain 10-15 minutes walk, but hotel is old, worn out furniture, carpet, bed sheet, bath room, towels ... Useless to ask for non smoking room bcs every room is smoking, they just hide ashtrays and spray deodorant to cover the strong smell. Breakfast is poor. Never use the taxi stand of the hotel, they charge 700 bts to the airport, but get the bell boy call a metered taxi in the street for you - only 350 bts to airport - and park just in front of the hotel entrance to pick you up. Do not recommend and shall not return to this hotel."
Starke said, "Spacy room (deluxe room),old, but clean, breakfast ok, reception-staff is very friendly - the breakfast-staff not. If you are a little late at bf. you have to hurry because the staff will catch your cup very quickly. Bf-room not so clean. Very good location, good price."
Fung said, "I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel.Hotel s staff are friendly and helpful.A good location which is just a few minutes walk to the sky train and there are some chinese restaurants nearby serve excellent food and most importantly the price is very reasonable. Will be back again."
Myles said, "i ve it s main plus is the location (close to sky train, patpong, convent road etc). bang for buck it s a good place. if you have a few extra $ i d recommend upgrading to the executive room as it has newer furnishings. good breakfast and rooftop pool is a nice way to escape the hussle and bustle of bangkok for a few hours."
Judson said, "Reception staff is somewhat cold and uninterested. The concierge was pleasant. Breakfast is very nice. The pool is a good space."
Angel said, "We arrived very late at the hotel at around 1:30am and we were given a very warm welcome to the hotel and Bangkok. The room was very big with a small kitchen (counter, fridge, cupboards, no stove), a living room with a sofa and large closets with a safe big enough for a laptop. The room was clean except for a smudge on the bathroom counter, not spotless though. Unless you stay at a 5 star hotel, you can expect outdoor insects, very small like tiny ants (Not too much though). The hotel is made with half of it are the rooms and in front of the rooms is the hallway and windows to outside. They do not air condition the hallway therefore they leave the windows open close to the elevator, thus insects get in, no biggy unless you have a problem with nature indoors! For the price, at 60$ CAD per night taxes and full breakfast included, you can t complain. The breakfast was very good, but you have to expect a buffet not to be too hot (that s everywhere) but they have custom made eggs on the spot, the omelet was very good. Very good variety with the standard bacon, sausages but also an asian touch with egg fried rice and egg with noodle (tasty). Good hours, starting at 6am. The pool was nice, not too many people but closes at 9pm, I found that a bit too early after a long hot day in the heat. The staff was always very nice and smiling. Only one little thing, one morning we did not want the room cleaned so we asked the front desk for no service but we were going for the day and I wanted our complimentary bottles of water that they give you every day. The employee at the front seemed a bit annoyed at the simple request but I have a feeling it was a language problem because she didn t seem to understand what we wanted at first. Oh well, we got our bottles. That is one thing, everyone is very nice, but don t expect their english to be that great. For all information on tours, we shopped around while walking around Bangkok. A good place for cheaper prices (and insist on a deal) is on Khaosan Rd. although I forget the name but shop around. We paid alot less for a day trip to an Island off Pattaya Beach (Coral Island) than many others with us that day (800 baht each incl. return by bus, lunch and boat to Island). We had one dinner at the restaurant on the roof, it was more expensive because it s a hotel and just ordinary. We were the only ones there but it was a bit late. I would recommend eating there only if you have no choice because there are alot of restaurants around. Patpong is very close walking distance and worth going for the deals. The hotel is about a 7 minute walk to the BTS but we did not use it although I thought we would. We just ended up using the Tuk-Tuk or Meter taxis. Learn how to negociate though, they can be persistant. If someone (men especially) approches you offering suggestions on temples or shopping, make you know they are working with Tuk-Tuk drivers to try to get you somewhere so you buy things. They seem very nice at first, but what we did, is went to the temple to see the Buddha they recommended and asked the Tuk-Tuk driver to bring us back to where we were, insisting alot at times. If you don t feel confortable with situations like that, then do not accept help from strangers offering ideas on where to go. We did get to see alot of Buddhas we wouldn t have otherwise. I would definitly consider the Unico Grande again on a next trip. We did not want to be in the old Bangkok area close to Grand Palace, therefore this location was perfect for us."
Michael said, "Location good. About 15mins from pat-pong, & close enough to BTS/MRT (underground) &the river taxi boats, all 10/20min walk or short tuktuk ride. Allthough taxis are very cheap but roads are a nightmare, & Beware the road crossing, some cars stop others drive straight though, even when people are crossing, Very dangerous. Hotel rooms big & clean enough but very dated. Seems to be a theme in Thailand, everything is either brand new or run into the ground, they dont seem to believe in maintainence, but thats part of its charm. Breakfast ok, but who cares, you can eat anywhere for next to nothing. No charge for night guest, they can even join you for breakfast. Roof pool and bar great (yes to much chlorine) The views are outstanding, a great asset to hotel. Also a great asset are the staff, all very sweet, kind, & look great, Especially one of the receptionist, So beautiful, i want to marry her. So to sum up, i would give the hotel 8.5/10 & will stay again."
Mr.A. said, "The location is great, in Silom Road just opposite Narai Hotel, Hotel is near Chongnonsi Station. Regarding the staff they were quite nice. The room was really big however the whole building including rooms need a urgent refurbishment. The sofas inside the rooms are really old they seem dirty. Carpets need to be changed as soon as possible. In connection the pool, there was too much chlorine in it, It was impossible to swim confortable. Breakfast was so so, needs more variety of dishes. The bottom line is the Hotel is just regular. For nearly the same price and location i would prefer Narai Hotel which was full when trying to book room."
Barry said, "Easy check in, excellent Breakfast, location very good, room and Hotel a bit dated. Near to Skytrain and Patpong. Would recommend. e was good value for money. close to the skytrain, good gym and pool facilities and breakfast was nice. our room was a nice size but the decor was a little dated. i believe the rooms are being referbished so when it is completed the hotel will be well presented. would reccomend."
Michaela said, "The hotel is in a good location. 10 minutes by walk to skytrain, Patpong and nightmarket on Silom road begins opposite the hotel.Rooms are big and clean.Staff is friendly and helpful.Travel agency in the hotel is good and was cheaper than outside.Breakfast is o.k, roomservice is fast but food is better elsewhere. There´s a little and cheap Thai restaurant outside at the left."

John said, "I have higher prices. The rooms are big, basically clean, but not spotless. They don t have any non-smoking rooms, I was told. The pool on the roof is nice, and gym is ok. Sauna and steam room available but I didn t use it. Buffet breakfast has great variety, but the food is just ok, not fantastic. Still a good deal for the price, I think."

Stuart said, " it was clean. Breakfast is OK but nothing fancy. Bottom line: good value for the money."
andrew said, "My partner and I guest toilet. However be advised they supply no cooking utensils do if you want to cook its bring your own . This was not a problem for us as BKK has amazing cheap places to eat. Tha breakfast bouffet was excellent. From pancakes, eggs, and bacon to rice porridge (jook) noodles croissants and cereals. Not to mention fresh fruit and juices. The hotel is under new management and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Well recomended!"
Britt-Marie said, "The location is great, near the skytrain. The room was big and nice, and we had a non smoking room! Nice restautante on the roof with good food and a marevlous view over the city. Very good breakfast.Nice staff."
Ola said, "We 4 years old) on the 14th floor. The room was very spacious and rather clean, though a bit worn down. Helpful staff in reception and restaurants. We really enjoyed the nice pool area on the roof, away from the noisy streets of Bangkok. Good location, close to the sky train station Chong Nonsi (5 min) and walking distance to the river and the express boats. We could consider staying there again."
Marit said, "The rooms smelled bad,( smoking allowed in rooms??? ) and it could need some renovation. It was though located in a good area, and the breakfast was very good."
al said, "the hotel need to be renowed and refreshed. Staff polite but very basic services although good buffet breakfast. Hotel is not more than a 3 stars for my standard. I was lucky i had upgrade in suite (very large). It is ok for short stay (but remember that 500 bath are required for night joiner). Not far from silom night bazar and pub (15 min walking). Anyway, too old hotel for my likes"
Jonathan said, "Really no complaints about the hotel, for the price. Great location near Patpong Market and half way between the river and the Sky Train. Room was a little old, but comfortable. A few ants in the bathroom. Buffet breakfast was great. Beautiful view from rooftop pool. Would stay again!"
