T said, "Excellent location opposite bus stop and 1 minute walk fromKhoasan Road. We found the hotel, clean, friendly and efficient and recommend it"
Russkikh said, "Medium for this price, don t like this place."
Katharina said, "This hotel is located in a strategic area: you can find an airport bus stop right in front of it; you can enjoy the nightlife in Khaosan Road located in the right side; you just need to walk to reach the Grand Palace and other tourism areas. Also, this hotel has tourist information and money changer counters, ATM, and the Internet cafe. The food served by this hotel for free breakfast is not bad. Few things I felt uncomfortable enough when I was staying in this hotel are: no elevator, many receptionists do not speak English very well, loud music of the neighboring cafe can be heard clearly at night from my room. Noisy! One more thing, I could only watch television programs on local channels. I don t speak Thai, so I didn t understand the programs at all. Where are the English channels?"
Aye said, "it was a reasonable stay except when we exteneded for two more nights they didn t agree to the same rate (we had to pay 1100b per night) compared to other places in BKK in other parts this is high.. by Amreican standards this was cheap! Also, on the night of Valentine s day, the hotel staff and the staff from the internet cafe were so roudy that we were woken up by the noise. Otherwise, staff was friendly, hotel rate was high because of the location (great area for shopping, food, very festive, clubs etc. etc), don t count on the breakfast at the restaurant."
Yakov said, "We this was too much. The room was dirty, had someones hair on the floor and the sheets were dirty as well. When we asked at the front desk to clean the room they said OK but never cleaned it. We have another reserved night at this hotel but we are going to find a different place to stay although we already payed for the night and the payment is not refundable. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures!!!"
Shelley said, "Great location, good little extras like complimentary water, a stocked fridge, nuts to buy. sheets were clean and this was the busy season too. Its fine for the price."
Christa said, "Nice and clean room. Unfortunately, the breakfast was not as good as last year, where there was a breakfast buffet. Otherwise quite O.K."
Michael said, "Have definitely lots of stairs."
Thure said, "In a scale to 5 I give this hotel a 4..///Thure Andersen"
Emi said, "The receptionists weren t really nice. They seem to have an attiude and it seemed that I actually paid more than I should. The first night I have to move to another room because the faucet in my room wouldn t work and then the next room I moved into was substantially smaller and one of the light wasn t working. Furthermore, the minibar was not checked before I moved in because they wanted to charge me for drinks that I didn t consume. Overall I m very disappointed and definitely would not recommend anyone to stay here!"
Burkhard said, "Best service, fair price. Never had any probs! Double-thumbs-up for super service. I gonna come back, for sure!"
Carin said, "Very nice hotel: cheap end a great location! The room is a bit small but it s oke!"
aussie said, "i really wanted to like it, but the bed bugs were about 8mm long and real blood suckers. everything else was fine, they just need a good fumigation."
Mr.Joe said, "Room 404 the room I check in Jul10/2006I was bother by 3 unknown bugs which inch me all the night I should tell the counter right away but it was so late. Next day I change room 104. This time I m safe. The room cleaning should have to improve more."
Jan said, "Please dont go there, use a few hundred bath extra. We did try to check inn Sawadee khaosan inn, but they do not have room for us, They did send us to Sawadee Bangkok inn ( what a walk). We did stay there, but only for one night, we have allready pay for 2 nights. But that hotel whas to poor for us. I most ask that you give me half of my money back, 2750 bath 3 pers. Thanks"
George said, "DON T DO IT!YOU LL BE SORRY!If I hadn t prepaid, I would have walked out immediately. As I walked to the reception area there were towels on the floor to soak up leaks from somewhere(it had not been raining)and the dirty towels remained there throughout my stay. After checking in with the always miserable Ms.Lie,I went to my room only to find out it wasn t ready. When I went back to reception, I was asked to wait even though they had other rooms available. When I finally got to my room, there were no towels in it and there was trash from the previous guests. It was my observation that the only cleaning the housekeepers performed was to change sheets and make the bed.Getting fresh toilet paper was a major ordeal I will say that the restaraunt staff were friendly even if most of the buffet was cold and inedible by 9AM."
Ms. said, "I left after the first night because of the bed bugs. Dreadful itchy time, little sleep, my blood spots on the sheets. But that was only the start. For nine days afterwards my body was covered in giant red wheals that became infected, which was terribly uncomfortable in the April heat and humidity. Over a fortnight later, I still have the scars. At 800 baht per night, it was an overpriced rip-off and I certainly would not recommend this bug pit to others."
Deepal said, "This is not a very good one. Staff not helpful. Rooms are small. No mirror in bathroom/toilet (it is shower over commode!). I had to shave using dressing mirror. Only on 1st day we received 2 complementary bottles of water and soap, not other days. I had to ask and go down and collect the towels on the first day as they were not supplied. On a positive note, this is at a very convenient location, close to Grand Palace, transport and shopping area. Money exchange, Internet and everything you need under the same roof. I the biggest crowd and craziest acts I saw right on the doorstep from the front foyer."
Bains said, "Good location. The place is clean and quiet enough (for Bangkok). Maybe little overpriced."
Mirka said, "Hotel is located very well. Short distance to Khaosan Road but far enough from the hassle. Airport bus service exellent!Room was clean, roomservice functioned well. Air-condition was really in need!Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly, especially in the restaurant. Mirka&Makke from Finland"
cools said, "Though the rooms needs a big renovation, this hotel is good located near to the skytrain and in the Pratunam shoppingarea. Friedly staff and good continental breakfast. I will book there again."
Börje said, "I will choose a different hotelon my next stay in Bangkok."
Michelle said, "It may have just been the room I was allocated (103) but I had a terrible stay at this place! The reception is downstairs and you hear every phone call, plus every person who comes up the stairs at all hours until 4.30 in the morning, then you get a little bit of sleep before the cleaning staff get started! So, I d say to ask for a room on the top floor, although this means climbing stairs as there was no lift. The good things are that it is right at the airport bus stop (which is not worth it if travelling in more than one, as it is 100 baht and takes over an hour while a taxi is about 200 baht and takes half an hour. Also it is really close to Khaosan road which is great for shopping, food, nightlife. The restaurant downstairs at the hotel has good food, and there are several internet terminals."
Christopher said, "Only booked one night. Rooms are over priced for what you get. After the first night, we were told the room rate would increase by approximately 300 Baht as the booking price was done through a travel agent. We looked for another place on the otherside of the Wat and got it for the same price as Sawadee.com, but much cleaner, nicer and quieter."
Iris said, "we had superior double rooms: they were clean, air conditioned, private WC.For the price really ok.We have only been a little surprised: the pictures shown at the internet did not agree with the real guest house. But the accomodation was nevertheless a good choice. We would go there again, if we come again to Bangkok!"
Mr said, " this was well worth having. Staff in the Restuarant not the best, seem to forget your actually sitting there waiting to be served. Location great for Khoasan rd a minute walk. Overall would probably stay there again."
Ms said, "The location is great, just around the corner from Khoa San Rd, walking distance the the main attractions in the area. The airport bus stops immediately in front of the hotel. The room was a good size, aircon, bathroom. The resaurant, moneychanger, internet, and travel agent downstairs were a plus.My biggest complaint and aggrivation was that my room #102 had BEDBUGS."
Ishikawa said, "Staff was very friendly and kindly. And Location was very good and cleariy.I hope I will stay this hotel.Thank you so much, and kophunn kap!!"
Liisa said, "Hotel located in very good place. Room was ok, and it was, what you could wait on that price.Young lady in the reception wasnt very friendly. Hotel advertise pick up service, but i didin tever get that service. Don t advertice if you cant t keep what you promise!"
Linling said, "Good location and good breakfast!I think I ll stay here again."
Jennifer said, "good location if you re looking to be in the thick of Khao San madness. Rooms are good size and clean but the smell of bug spray was a bit overwhelming. Ask for a room off of the road if you want quiet. Rates are very good!"
Gunnar said, "If you do like little beetles in your bed, you re right in this dirty and loud hotel. Otherwise choose another one. In the very little bathroom you can use the toilet and the shower at the same time. Sheet wasn t changed even not with the whole blood because of the little beetles we crushed during sleep. I could not recommend this hotel."
Dawn said, "The Sawasdee Khaosan Inn was high-priced (at 670 baht/night for a double aircon room) relative to other accommodation available in the Th Khao San area. Not only that, but their quality was no better than a less expensive (400-500 baht) guesthouse. That said, the room was small, but serviceable with a double bed (no headboard, but a brightly painted and decorated wall behind it), a wardrobe, TV and a small vanity. The worst part (which was not that bad) was the faintly musty smell in the room and the fact that during our stay they were building a new reception desk. Lots of loud construction at all times, but they re probably finished by now. Breakfast in the morning was buffet style and was sufficiently filling with eggs, meats, rice, cereal, juices, etc. available. I would recommend booking the Sawasdee Khaosan Inn if you want to have a guaranteed reservation at an adequate guesthouse, but would advise simply going to Th Khao San and asking around if you want a better value place to stay."
Cidalia said, "Very good value for money, good location, lovely breakfast. The rooms were spacious and clean.I ll be staying there on my next visit to Bangkok."
Mr.Keith said, "Having been up for more than 26 hours, I was ready to die any where in any hotel in Bangkok. I was driven to Sawasdee by a Taxi driver, who kind of new where he was going. I arrived at reception, where in my Rough Guide, it exspalined that the above hotels was one of the best, for Thai Massage, Once I discoved that I had been droped at the wrong hotel, but right chain, I asked the receptionist to arrange for a Thai Massage, the poor girle, nearly fainted, as she thought I was suggesting that she was a lady of the night as it were. So the moral is take no notice of any guide as they are just plain wrong. The hotel was clean but the brocure picture is not quite what you get,as for the kitch mauve effect costs you much more bart, however for around 650 bart, you get a clean aircon room with hot shower, the staff are funny and a little bit of respect goes a long way when talking to you waiter or waitress. Included in the cost for the room is a buffet breakfast, which is very good. I would stay here again."
Derek said, "Wus nicer than i expected. Freshly painted room. T.V. didn t work tho and service was a little rude. But what do u expect for 540 tbt. a nite"
Nicole said, "The location is great! Service and breakfast were also OK. The shower in the room was not really great, ours was right on the toilet!!! Some rooms are also noisy (if you re on the side of the road). But overall we choose to go back on the end of our boliday."
Mr.Lambert said, "MOST Lousy hotel ever. The pictures were taken about 30 years ago. It s the MOST DIRTY. The staff are NOT friendly. Made the reservation weeks before but when I came to the hotel, they told me they didn t have a room. Instead of finding a solution for me, they quickly turned to another customer leaving me asking myself why did I bother to make a reservation. Thailand is a land of smiles but you will not see that in this place."
Laura said, "Was not impressed by this accomodation at all. Would not book in here again or recommend it to anyone. When i got there the sheets where dirty and the staff not that helpful."
HAUMONT said, "I do not recommand this hotel which is rather dirty, expansive for the low confort and without a minimum of taste of service."
Marion said, "Ok!"
Zoe said, "Basic but excellent location. Major building owrks next to hotel. Look set to be there for at least 18 months to come. Hotel very grubby but room was clean. Desperately needs a paint!"
