A. said, "Nice place to stay, budget inn, working hot water and a/c..Many foods around, good location."
Cindy said, "For the price we paid, I think everything was pretty fair. The only problem I had was the pillows were really hard and lumpy - I had problems sleeping! Good point was the fact that it was near Khaosan and there were loads of places to eat, things to see within walking distance."
James said, "Place was a small cheap hotel really close to Koh san rd, about thats as good as it gets for this place. Room I hot air came out, this would have been all right except their was no ventalation to blow out the dank smell that came from the bathroom shower/ toilet built in one thing. The beds me and a mate had, hadn t been cleaned and there was pubic hair throughout, this coupled with the delightful staines added for a memorable night sleep. Though if you are on a budget somewhat fine, im sure you could find cleaner better options."
Sophia said, "The room was o.k., only that the window was towards the light shaft, so there was not much daylight in there. A bigger problem was that it my room was on the ground floor close to the restaurant, where they were showing several videos every evening, which was very, very loud, so I had to use ear plugs to be able to sleep! Two weeks later, however, when I came back for a visit, there was no movie, but some music instaead, so it was possible to sit there and have a few drinks - much nicer!"
Ryan said, "I had a quadruple room at this hostel and the facilities are more than enough to cope with some basics such as bathing, washing up and sleeping of course. This hostel provide nice free breakfast and the main lobby is a nice place to hang around with several movie screenings everyday. No problem such as bed bugs or whatever. Service i would rate as average. It is a bit way off Khaosan road (it is actually at Rambutri rd abt 10 min walk frm KS rd. Overall would recommend this hostel if you are going for a cheap rm to sleep only and dont mind a short walk to khaosan rd."
Dennis said, "We like the Krungthep Inn on Rambuttri Street as in is centrally located to Khao San Road and all the shops, good food and cold beers of the area as well as the National Art and History museums, the river rides and less than 100 Bhat taxi to China Town, MBK shopping and the Sky Train Station. Booking on the Internet is a good discount and the inn includes breakfast. We got the standard double with AC, private bath and hot water shower and small TV. The room was clean but could use some new paint and a upgrade for the TV would be a plus, otherwise a great value. Movies are shown afternoons and evenings in the lobby...It works for us..."
Leon said, "Apart from the high rotation of Rocky Balboa on the movie list my stay was great. I will remember the insect repellant next time though, lots of mosquitoes. The food was great, the beer cheap, the staff wonderful, the rooms clean, and the booking service for tours and the airport bus were flawless. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be going back to the cheapest and best place in Bangkok. I spoke to people staying at toher places that paid over 2oo bhat for a room with no TV, air con, and shared a bathroom. Sawasdee Krunthep Inn gave me all that for 450 baht a night. Great value, see you all again soon."
Ben said, "This wouldn t be a bad guest house if the management took control and fumigated the building. It s in a great location just off the Ko San Road, and the rooms are spacious with bathroom, air con and tv. BUT, the two rooms we occupied were infested with bed bugs... not nice. We actually checked out early because we had so many bites and couldn t stand to watch the bugs running across the matress. The staff seemed aware of the problem but failed to do anything about it."
