Small problem: some taxi-men are problem to find the hotel. Very kind ladys at the reception! Perfect price - double for round 30 Euro.."

I ordered same breakfast as other hotel guest but found the food preparation different. Double standard. The other matter was I stayed 2 nights instead of 3 originally booked but could not get any refund even though did not stay the last night. One more thing, I purposely took a hand towel back and upon checking out, they claimed it was a face towel and had to pay for face towel price. Not very honest in house keeping and mgmt doesn t help you solve the problem."

Very short walk to BTS station and Chao Phria river ferries. Good cook to order breakfast included. Friendly staff. I took the BTS everyday to go somewhere, so easy."

The hotel staff were very friendly and our room was clean, although it showed its age. The pool was nice but the fitness centre was in desperate need of renovation. The American Breakfast included in the rate was very basic."

Fred stayed at Astera Sathorn Hotel on 2005-11-15 and said, "Sathorn Villa in Bkk is extremely well located 300 metres from Taksin SkyTain station and Taksin River Ferry station and Robinson supermarket. Also close to Patpong markets and Chinatown and Banglamphu. Good clean swiming pool and nice staff.However corridors are SMELLY - the carpet needs renewing as it is rotting and curling up at edges. Also staff NEVER leave a shower/bath mat in the bathroom, or hand towels. Only two large towels.We had to phone for bath mats every day to get one each day.Management needs to do their job in traing staff in his requirement as slippery wet cold floors are dangerous and older people will fall and hurt themselves.Also the room service coffee was INSTANT COFFEE - YUK - when it should be percolated or filtered coffee.The hotel needs repainting outside as it is a good venue that looks dilapidated. The website makes it look a lot newer and cleaner than it is.Price is fair for Bkk.This is my second trip to Sathorn Villa and because of the location I would return, but believe they can clean it up with minimum effort.They also need to put remote controls with the TV and to add more channels to the TV in the rooms. It would be so easy to do. Overall I definitely recommend the hotel if you are not fussy about the number of stars in your accomodation."

The bathroom was stinking, mold everywhere and old threadbare towels that also smelt musty. Easily the worse room I have had during my visits to bangkok. The staff as ever in the LOS were great."

John stayed at Astera Sathorn Hotel on 2005-01-21 and said, "This is a great hotel for the price, the staff are very friendly and helpful, its clean, and its excellently positioned for the skytrain and river ferry, the surrounding area is good and interesting too as its not very touristy but still has everything anyone could need.As for negative points about the hotel then its a bit worn and the beds are probably a bit short if youre a particularly tall person, but by comparison its still extremely good value.I would have liked to stay longer."

I stayed in a Villa which for only a few baht more was much larger and nicer. Breakfast is ABF and pretty simple. This Hotel is very close to skytrain BTS which is its best selling point to me. Also very close to the Central Pier to take a tourist boat.I would stay there again- (this is second stay)."
