MELVIN said, "my return visit to this place. there is some noise from the traffic from the main road. The room is clean and hotel is in a convenient location (10 mins walk to BTS). service staff friendly and helpful."
Soon said, "Room is quite clean, breakfast is not buffet. Service is minimun. Consider OK for the budget price paid. Less than 10 min walk to Rachatewi BTS station which is just one stop away from Siam (Center) station. 20 min. walk to Pantip IT mall and Platinum fashion wholesale mall. Local food nearby at night."
Fan said, "Hotel was fuss-free and simple.. Was a little worried when faced with a gloomy corridor but room turned out much better than expected. With the price we paid, it was great to know that breakfast was included, although there were only 6 choices that are pretty similar. The proximity to a BTS station as well as city also add value to the stay here.. Overall, a fantastic experience for all 4 of us and we certainly look forward to staying there again and recommending it to our friends."
Saowanij said, "The hotel is clean, good and convenient. People are friendly."
Yong said, "Nice Small little clean hotel..staff will smile back if u joke with them..breakfast comes in set ,american n asian..location was ok..but on a traffic jam road..walking distance to bts is abt 15 min,mbk takes abt 30 min or less..will go back again.."
H.J. said, "Good place to stay. Clean (bath)roomand good breakfast. We decided to come back now.You get value for money."
cappai said, "The hotel was very good for the price. The receptionist was friendly and the hotel was clean and quiet and very near to the sky train."
Yeo said, "Very excellent. The only thing I can pick about is the lack of a safety deposit box. Other than that, location, staff and cleanliness is excellent. Made my first trip to the land of smiles a truly enjoyable one. Will definitely stay here again."
Zoe said, "This hotel was really great! Although they mucked up our booking and we got single beds instead of a double, the staff were great and the room was so clean and modern. The best thing was the food though; absolutely amazing! Would definitely stay again.Zoe from New Zealand"
aileen said, "I booked a superior room which was very noisy and provided no drinking water. When i enquired to change rooms the receptionist was very rude and just laughed. I would not recommend this hotel and as a result i checked out after one day!"
Jacobus said, "Een erg gezellig en knus hotel.
Matthew said, "Small hotel. Very friendly service - the sort of place where receptionists and restaurant staff remember your name and what you like for breakfast etc!Room (Deluxe) was basic but large and clean. However it was very noisy at night. The disco opposite the front of the hotel pumps out loud music until about 3 am, the traffic on the road never stops - and there are many very loud tuk tuks late at night. The air con in teh room is very cold - even though tehre is a thermostat in the room - it doesn t seem to work. We had to request a second blanket.Breakfast was a la carte rather than buffet, but was OK. The hotel in reasonable walking distance of Skytrain, as well as shopping areas such as Platinum, Pantip Plaza, MBK, Siam Centre, Siam Paragon etc.Despite the service I doubt we will go back again. I think I will pay a bit more for a quieter room elsewhere."
OTHMAN said, "This time I brought along my youngest daugter to Bangkok and I Choose Samran Place again. It s location is good for going around Bangkok and the hotel is affordable, and the staff are helpful.Keep up"
Aileen said, "Very disappointed!Firstly i booked a superior room which provided no drinking water and it was very noisy. When i asked to change rooms the receptionist was very rude and just laughed!!! If you want a quiet room you must book a standard room or deluxe. Superior room provides nothing!!!!! Front desk receptionist should not be doing her job!!!!!"
lilienstern said, "very good good hotel for this price.do not take the rooms on the road side to much nooise.will certainly come back and tell my friends . we stayd 3 different times there"
Martin said, "Room and breakfast o.k. considered the price. Though we will not come again as most of the staff was either unattentive or even rude. Really did not feel welcome."
Kortlüke said, "Samran Place is a nice little hotel with great value for money and best location on Petchburi Road, only 2 minutes from Ratchatewi BTS Station. Staff is friendly and breakfast ok."
Eileen said, "Great location, only 7/11. Breakfast is great as it has variety of food to choose from Asian to American simple breakfast and F&B staffs are polite. Reception is helpful when check in&out. The only bother me is only the free glass bottled water which taste a bit funny. U should ask for a plastic bottled water is really fine. Room is big enough for 2 persons with bathtub in it and most important CLEAN ROOM & BATHROOM. Nice..... Overall, I would be back in the future. (-) sometimes Housekeeping staff forget to give us the small towel and to knock the door when entering the room. Perhaps consider a doorbell infront of room ? one-two hole in bedsheet. I think the housekeeping dept. in the hotel should do an improvement."
Tan said, "A good place to stay though not a big hotel. The room is extremely clean, you can even have bath tub!!!This was suprised me when reached that hotel. In my experience, you cant even find a bath tub in a budget hotel! But Samran Place is really different! A very convenient walking distance to many place such as MBK, Siam Discovery, Pratunam Market, Panthip Plaza, Pratunam Plaza, Platinum plaza, Big C, Isetan, etc. You can easily find a stall there to enjoy either your lunch or dinner and they are very professional in service and the cleaniness is good.Just 1 bad thing is the hotel only start to serve the bfast at 630am. I had booked a tour to Floating market even from the lobby of the hotel but they refuse to prepare set breakfast for me but only sandwich.I think they should be more flexible on this. But in general, this hotel is worth to stay!"
Pan said, "near BTS rachathewi station....only walk about 5 minutes...and breakfast tastes good...if you wanna shoppong in Bangkok, this hotel is good choice.."
Joyce said, "The entire hotel stay was really smooth and trouble free. Room was clean and everything worked well. Breakfast was fantastic! Near Ratchthewi BTS and close to many roadside food stores. Takes 15min to walk to MBK. I would stay in Samran again!"
Thomas said, "I visited this hotel already two years ago and anythings have changed. Staff is not every people friendly now, especially at the reception is a woman not just friendly+helpful. Beside the hotel they build a new house 7 meters in front of your room and so it is dark and noisy at time. Breakfast is not unforgetable great but okay. The street in front of the hotel is high frequented all time. But the location is good and public-traffic (bus and sky-train) is very closed. All in all it is a hotel a bit cheaper than any others and acceptable if you can accept any disadvantages."
Steven said, "This is a very great place to stay while i was in Bangkok. Service was great and got free nice breakfast downstairs every morning. In terms of price this is a veyr good choice, next time when I come to bangkok I will stay at Samran place for sure. It s about 10 minutes walk to BTS station."
Andrew said, "My room was very comfortable and quiet even though the hotel is on a major road. The hotel is well located for travel around Bangkok. The staff were very helpful and I will stay at Samran Place again."
Adam said, " in walkable distance to shopping areas. Breakfast was reasonable. Value for money the hotel is excellent."
Yeo said, "Me & my 2 children yet efficient. The rooms are clean without being extravagrant. The only thing I would recommend is to have wireless internet service available. I would gladly pay for the service. We have enjoyed our stay very much."
Alicia said, "The hotel is nice, feels like home to me :)... breakfast is good... within walking distance to well known shopping mall... will return again"
kristofer said, "Very good. Cheap, clean and with good service. Great location for shopping, a 15 minute walk to siam square. I will probably stay here again."
DALLAS said, "Dear Sir although we later this year.So for anyone reading this we both fully endorse & recommend the Samran Place Hotel as far as value for money goes it is very very good value indeed thank you all again for an excellent stay.Dallas&Jenny Joseph QLD Australia."
Tang said, "Samran place is a great hotel. Good service, clean, attentive and patient staffs.Though my room is right opposite the construction work, i can hardly hear any noise from there. The breakfast sets are nice, but it is a little small in portion. Location wise, about 5-10 minutes to nearest BTS station. Can find food almost anywhere around the hotel. I found quite a nice and cheap seafood restaurant nearby. From the hotel with your back facing the hotel, walk right til you see a nice little restaurant called Ratchatewi Seafood . Its quite closed to the BTS station. But it only opens during night time. All in all, good value for a good hotel."
Ross said, "Very clean, roomy, good location. Ask for off street if possible, noisy on front. Great restaurant. Loved breakfast, Pad Thai like noodles, good. Fresh squeezed orange juice. Yum."
Sarinya said, "I find the hotel location is very accessible only few minutes walk to BTS which is one stop to Siam Centre (or 15mins walk but it s rather unpleasant lots of cars and black smokes!)short taxi ride to Platinum under 60THB if you re rely on BTS train I suggest to get the refill ticket so you don t have to line up at peak hrs. The hotel is clean and with very helpful staffs at this very low cost right in the city very suitable for people who only stay in hotel to sleep and love to explore. Breakfast were basic so don t expect much. Beware of some tuk tuk waiting to get you on board outside hotel it s better to ask hotel staff for taxi or which direction to hail it from cos some taxi would take you on a very long u-turn!and when get taxi back tell them the hotel is on Petchburi rd corner off Rachatewi BTS."
Cheah said, "Nice & Clean. Location pretty good about 5 min walk to the BTS and between 10-15 min to popular shopping centres like MBK & Platinum wholesale mall & IT Mall . Staff were friendly and very helpful at most times."
Tang said, "The hotel service is good and the staff are very helpful. The bed can be cleaner though. The bedsheet & pillow case are a bit dirty and worn out."
Josephine said, "I choose this place after reading the review from others on the hotel. In fact, it was a good place and good choice in Bangkok. Very convenient and clean rooms. The only complaint I have was towards the tour service provided at the lobby. I made local tour booking at the counter and since the tour started at 6.30am, the lady promise me coffee and tea from the bar but a take away sandwhich instead of having it there. We agreed but on the day of the tour, we arrived at the bar at 6.00am and we are not allowed to have our coffee. Can you imagine, I was travelling with 4 old folks and 2 kids who need breakfast but they refuse to serve coffee as promise. We enquired their front desk but their front desk and captain of the bar doesn t seems helpful. They claimed that they have nothing to do with the tour service counter located just right in front of them. Is not the value of the coffee but is the service that matters. Furthermore, we are asked to wait no later than 6.20 at the lobby and the van only arrive to pick us up at 7.30am. 1 hour waiting for nothing. I seriously not happy with the service provided by that lady from the time I made my booking but unfortunately I am suprise that they actually serve European and Western customer 10 times better."
Gillian said, "despite the fact that the front desk staff do not speak Enlgish it was a good place to stay...close to the skytrain and public transportation. THe breakfast was very plain and not too many choices...but the location made up for that ."
Kjell said, "Extremely disappointed. Read so many good reviews about Samran Place, that while I was there, thought I was not in the same place. Requested double room, with two beds,non-smoking. Got one double bed, hard as a rock, and reeking of smoke, and a stopped toilet. Booked for 8 nights. Lucky for us, we traveled and used hotel as base. Asked for and got a double with two beds. Toilet stopped, and room not cleaned the next day. Came back late at night, and not even toilet paper. Must not been the same hotel everyone raves about. Close to skytrain, a big plus. Would never book this hotel again. Remember all, this is but my humble opinion, your experience may be totally satisfying. Also while using the internet in the lobby a young couple reported theft of a bracelet from their room. Front desk staff as efficient as they CAN be. They must do something about the rest of the staff. IMHO only. Happy traveling."
Bo said, "Very good and cheap hotel. The restaurant have very good food. It s only short walk to the shopping center Siam and MBK."
Clinton said, "I had a luxury suite and I still wasn t expecting much, given the cheap price. Well, it was beautiful, and huge, much bigger than I was expecting. Flat screen tv, nice ensuite, large wardrobes, and a nice lounge area. If I have one criticism, the housekeeping staff seem to do a pretty quick job of cleaning the room. I never got replacement soap or shampoo, and the bed was pretty shabbily made. But, all in all, I will definitely be going back."
NG said, "Located along Petchburi road, Samran Place was easy for the cab driver to find. Although the hotel doesn t look impressive from the outside, the interior is pretty decent. The room I had looked quite new, possibly refurbished since the exterior of the hotel looks a little dated. The room was big and clean. Breakfast is non-buffet style but I have no problems with that. Service was excellent. When I was leaving, the bell boy actually ran out to the street, got a cab for me and directed the cab into the hotel so that I didn t have to walk out at all. It was an excellent experience and I would seriously consider staying there again."
Chris said, "Value for money! Clean rooms and spotless toilets and a/c that has climate control. Breakfast on set menu but can t complain for the price we paid. Get a room facing away from the main street if u are a light sleeper. Plenty of cheap food on the side streets...walk towards the skybridge. I counted 3 7-11s in the area which was good for me as I absolutely love the hotdogs they serve. For shopping, grab a tut tut and pay about 40 to 50 baht to Siam Square or Pratunam. Taxis about same price if u do not mind getting stuck in BKK s infamous gridlock. Highly recommended for its central location and reasonable price. Ohh...did I mention about their mango sticky rice? Absolutely fabulous!!!"
Anastassiya said, "If you came to Bangkok for shopping this hotel is for you! Basic but clean room. Hot water and air-con - no problem. Breakfast was very good. Great location! Very close to BTS station and many trade centres! Best value for money!"
Dane said, "If you re on a budget this is the best value in Bangkok! Very cheap, great staff, good location, great experience overall. No buffet breakfast, but that means everything is fresh cooked, not sitting around like some buffet places. A nice breakfast. Smaller room than most hotels, but more than adequate. The view was of a building being constructed next door, so not great a good view, but didn t bother me. about 5 minutes walk to Ratchetewi BTS station, about 20bt to Siam or 30bt to National Stadium BTS (less walking to MBK). 200bt 1 hour massage just next door, never got to try it. Overall a great hotel, staff look after you, has basically everything you need, and absolutely cheap!! Highly recommended. If you have a little more money to spend try First Hotel (only fault was bad breakfast) or Asia Hotel (Walk from hotel straight onto the BTS!). But for value for money you can t beat Samran Place!"
TSILIPANIS said, "After five times in Bangkok and first in this hotel, i have no reason to continue searching for something else.So close to the Sky Train and the canal boat, clean and spacious room.Best value for money."
Ng said, "Great location for the price. Less than 3 minutes walk to BTS station. Less than 15 minutes slow walk to MBK. Breakfast is delicious. Restaurant food is great. Friendly helpful reception staff and waiters and waiteresses. Clean spacious room and bathroom. Bed slightly squeeky but we ll definitely be back."
MELVIN said, "Room is clean and front counter service stuff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is near (5-7mins walk) to BTS. Nice and cheap seafood along the street from BTS to hotel."
Fritzie said, "Had a really good stay at Samran. Aside from the fact that it was very affordable, the room, the bed sheets, the bathroom and towels were also clean which is very important. The staff were also courteous. The breakfast was good enough. The additional plus points for this hotel is the fact that it was very accessible although most of the taxi drivers had a difficulty locating the hotel. So better make sure that you get a calling card at the front desk which has the address in Thai and bring it around with you. Beside the hotel is a small massage place that offers authentic Thai massage for 200 Baht for a 1 hr. body massage. All in all, the Samran Place was a really clean, affordable and accessibe hotel."
A. said, "A nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. Close to the sky train and shopping. The superior room we had was a good size. Mosquitoes were a minor problem. The breakfast selection is limited but nicely presented. We had room 303. When it rained very heavily, the floor drain in the bathroom back-flowed. However the mess was quickly cleaned up. We will stay in this hotel next time we are in Bangkok if the prices remain the same."
