Linda said, "The LOCATION is probably the BEST think of this hotel. Very close to BTS and MRT station, BTS Sala Deang is just outside the hotel, and this is the best method of travel in bangkok.. Big center with stores and restaurants on the other side of the street; but you can find food, markets, clothes, stores everywhere at anytime. Gays area. Discounts on massages but men be careful... ask for women, the guys could ask you for and extra job during the massage... that s what happened to my boyfriend and I was just near him!! Extremely embarassing if is not what are you looking for.. well, we booked for a superior room (THB 1350). The first room was very small, without window which is really unconfortable (seems to be in a tomb), plus there was a bug just near the bed so we asked for another room. We had to pay an extra for the second room, but is not mentioned anywhere that you have to pay more for a room with window but well... nothing can view from window, just a roof top but it was so much better! Aircond works well. Some terrible smell come out from the toilet, but clean. Breakfast is REALLY POOR and BORING. The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly but I don t know if I will come back.. maybe just for the location!"
Fahroun said, "The hotel is well-run, comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. Location is excellent if you want to be in the midst of the busy Patpong area. The skytrain station Sala Daeng, is right in front, so convenience to the max!!"
Thomas said, "Really nice people realy nice placeAlways enjoy staying there"
Greg said, "The hotel (because that s what it is; not serviced apartments) is ideally located. It is also clean and secure. Most of the staff are pleasant and helpful; but not all.The hotel s greatest weaknesses are ...1. There is no hot water in the basin for shaving.2. The hotel advertises cable tv but the reception is that bad that almost all channels cannot be viewed and those that can are likely to simply change to be another channel half way through a programme or just simply go off the air completely.3. The hotel advertises internet access but in reality this is limited to just two computers (one of which rarely works) and as there is no hotel rule about time limit, you could, as I was, be forced to wait more than two hours to check my email."
Lim said, "The hotel is a bit cramped however it is clean. The window is sealed with glass hence unable to open, it makes the room stuffy and some terrible smell come out from the toilet from the drain hole. The breakfast is great and healthy. However, I would be more appreciate if the meals could be changed every 3 days. Otherwise you will become bore if you stay too many days and having the same breakfast. The waiter serve the breakfast is polite and friendly. The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. They always tried best to help you in getting useful tourist information, direction etc."
Jonathan said, "Very clean, decent place. First night room had window facing the bar street out front. It was essentially too loud to sleep. They let us switch without too much trouble. Second room had only window in bathroom, and was much better, but had a slight smell without the air-conditioner on. Would stay there again but I prefer cheaper hotels on Khao San road."
Yang said, "It is so easy to get around with BTS Sala Deang just outside the hotel and plenty of food stall just around the corners."
Werner said, "The hotel is located in one of the most busiest areas (Silom road)of Bangkok. It is quiet and clean. The staff is friendly. The rooms are functional, only a window is missing. For a few nights optimal."
Tan said, "Location is good and convenient, near BTS S2,but hard to find at entrance. room is clean. TV channel signal is weak.I may stay there next time."
Lewis said, "Hard to find at first. halls were echoeing into room but modern and clean looking. Showers were either too hot or too cold. Breakfast was weak. Bed could be too hard for some people but was fine for me. Tv channel selection bad. Clean and marbled rooms. Discounts on massages. An okay place if your plans are outside of hotel. Probably could find cheaper places but i am too lazy to look. around so this place was convenient for me."
Kevin said, "The front desk was not good with wake-up calls. One morning, I did not get my call at all and the next morning, my taxi was coming at 6:00 a.m.(the front desk made the reservation for me) and that was the time they were going to call me to wake me up!"
Fahroun said, "Very clean and staff are extremely friendly. Location is perfect if you want to be in the middle of street life and fun night scene."
Fahroun said, "Very clean and staff are extremely friendly. Location is perfect if you want to be in the middle of street life and fun night scene."
John said, "Excellent location, hotel good. Not Hilton but not Hilton prices. If the gay scene in the area doesn t bother you then this is a top spot. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends.Note - any Thai people applying for a UK visa will find this an ideal location both for the application centre and hospital for medical check-ups."
Manbow said, "Very close to BTS and MRT station. Staff members are very helpful. There are no windows in the room, but the room is clean and comfortable. I could enjoy staying at that hotel."
LEUNG said, "Room: Clean bed and toliet, slient sleeping environment but got a little bit smell of smoke and still using key for door lock, Location: 30min to or from airport, 0 distance to SalaDaeng BTS, full marks.Price: Acceptable price for this good location.Staff: Nice and helpful even they work in this little place~"
Andrejkovits said, "very central located in Silom, in a gay area ... not the thing for every one, room was clean and new renovated but a little bit small, breakfast was very easy and can be better, service was friendly and fine"
Steven said, "Good location hotel. Dont have any problem walking around pat pong area. The room is clean but the hot bath water is too hot or too cold. Morning sun make the room too bright."
Jeremy said, "The location is superb, easy to access to almost all the nightlife spots around that area. The interior setting was a bit dissapointing, but overall is clean and tidy. With the same price, maybe can go for those 3 star hotel but not as convenient as this one. I ll definitely come back to this hotel again."
John said, "Hotel location is very good. Close to Skytrain which is the best method of travel considering the traffic.Room at this price was good. No windows or balcony. Shower floor seemed to get clogged and fill up when in use otherwise clean.Staff seemed ok.Did see some apartments at this price range when i was there and they were not as clean."
See said, "I located near to the Sala Daeng skytrain station with 2 minute walking distance. Just 2 stop to Siam Paragon & 3 stop to Central World or Erawan Shrine (4 faces buddha)through Sala Daeng skytrain station. 1 stop to Suan Lum Bazaar Night Market through Silom MRT station. The hotel is located near to the Thailand most famous night life area - Patpong (within 5 minutes walking distance). The hotel receptionist very friendy and quick to response. Need to highlight here, there is a lot of gay gathering at surrounding area and even there have some stay at the hotel. The hotel s breakfat need to improve as everyday they serve the same food i.e 2 fried egg and hot dog, 1 cup of coffee or tea and 1 cup of orange juice. Overall rating is good. Definitely, i will stay at RSSA when I visit Bangkok-Thailand again."
Siew said, "Better than ever, altho the price had gone up this time. Staff have gotten to know me so they are very polite and friendly. Still, don t expect frills. This is a functional hotel with basic but clean rooms in a great location for single people on holiday! Oh, and the fact that it has no windows is great for keeping out the street noise of the city!"
Frederick said, "My 5 days were comfortable... my deluxe room with a window light, the bed is firm, the shower is spacious. Morning breakfast is simple just to get me started for the day adventure. I love the staff at the reception... excellent attitude... will be back in about 3 months time hehehe"
Tay said, "Great location. Friendly & helpful receptionist. Need to improved on the breakfast (fried egg, sausage & ham) which is served cold."
GINTARAS said, "The stay was pleasant and stuff was helpful. Location is ideal for night life lovers as it is in few steps from Patpong. Besides hotel is deep in the courtyard and there is no any noise comming from the street. Thanks to reviews from those who it helped a lot to find the hotel quickly...Deluxe room we clean. Only one cockroach during three nights stay!..I would recommend this hotel for sure."
bryan said, "This is still one to best located hotel. The staffs are all very friendly and helpful. The room is well kept meets all my basic needs. I will definitely be back to this hotel the next time i visit Bangkok."
Avraham said, "Get it, lovely place the cheapest hotel has very good services team, helpfull, great location and almost free of charge. the best massage shop 10 meters, professionals...."
Samuel said, "This hotel is clean, quite and comfortable. It is located at Silom night market, very convenience for guest who like to enjoy BKK Night Life. It is just 5 mins walk to the Saladaeng BTS Train and Silom MRT station. Strong recomended for the gay travelers, only 5 mins walk to the gogo bars. Finally, wish everyone who visit BKK hav a sweet memory."
Andy said, "I have been staying in this hotel for the 5 times & it seems that the condition of the rooms are getting worse. The staffs are quite friendly though. In some rooms, the aircon is not cool enough & some water heaters are not functioning. On one occasion, the aircon was leaking very badly unitl the nearby wardrobe is badly corroded. It was apparent that the water problem is exisiting for a long time cos there were towels on the floor to soak up the water when we checked in. When complained about the problem of the aircon, the housekeeping would only come to clean the filters. The floor is sometimes sticky to step on. If not for its location (which is very near to Saladaeng BTS), I would probably pay a slightly higher price & stay at the Swiss Lodge."
Denise said, "thought id give it a try since the other reviews were good? i personally would never stay there again.our room smelt really badly of sewage.there were little grey silver bugs in the bathroom the whole time.there was a roach at breakfast.breakfast small and our view while eating was the table next to us with 2 men and a prositute also staying at the hotel.terrible...."
Philip said, "Second time ive good location. Staff dont seem too friendly though. My room had very little hot water, but my friends staying in other room sdidnt seem to have that prob."
Amanda said, "A nice little boutique hotel indeed! Not lavishly decorated, but it has all the basic requirements one needs. Great location, just 1 min from the BTS station makes traveling so convenient. A day pass at 120Baht for unlimited trips makes exploring around town very cheap. We even saved some time/money on our last day towards the airport by using the train to On Nut station & then hop on a taxi to avoid all the town traffic. The management ties up with the café next door for 24 hrs room service but who needs that when Patpong, the notorious night market is just 3 mins walk away? The café offers FREE internet access for diners with own laptops and for those not so equipped, the hotel charges only 1 Baht/min for using their computers with internet access. The deluxe room I what’s more, it is duly compensated with a nice bath tub. Water pressure is inconsistent that affects water temperature on my 3rd floor unit. Try requesting a room on the 4th or 5th floor as it may help. TV reception is not great but then again, who comes to Bangkok for TV anyway? Breakfast is good but alternate menus should be offered as one may get tired having the same thing for 3 days. Staff are all very smily & helpful. I’m looking forward to my next trip to Bangkok and my next reservation at Regent Silom with Sawadee.com again!"
Diana said, "Nice hotel! Poor breakfast but not bad! People are great!"
Benedict said, "Dear Sirs, I enjoyed my stay at the RSSA. The rooms were clean and very functional. The receptionists were also really very friendly and cheerful. I will come back to stay at the RSSA in the future."
Teh said, "Great Location"
Pete said, "The 2 rooms I booked were fairly small but clean and appear to have been refurbished not too long ago.Aircon was efficient. Shower was average.Breakfast is very poor. 1 sausage, 1 fried egg, 2 slices of toast and some salad.Access to the hotel is up a walkway or through a cafe. We were met by a large rat scampering along the walkway which happened to be flooded with raw sewage.Don t be fooled by the name of the hotel. You get a room, not an apartment.Personally I will not use this hotel again. But it is cheap."
Peter said, "Rooms are small but cosy. Make sure you get rooms away from the lifts as they can get noisy. Ok water pressure but hot water goes out quick. Breakfast needs to be improved. Fantastic location."
Francesca said, "Location is wanderful. It is the perfect hotel for a short stay in bangkok. Room was really very small and without windows (even in the batchroom)."
CKW, said, "Excellent location, quiet rooms. Made to order western breakfast was basic and small portions but free coffee refills."
Ann said, "Location, location, location! You practically live right on the skytrain entrance in Silom. As for the room and breakfast you get what you pay for, nothing extravagant in other words...No windows or view, but no noise from the busy silom rd or nightmarkets either. Internet access in the reseption, Baskin Robbins and travelagency as well. Walking distance to Lumpini Park. We will stay here again now that we know where it is (even the limo-driver had difficulty finding it...)"
HENG said, "AIR CONDITIONING OF ROOM SHOULD BE IMPROVED.SHOWER/TOILET SHOULD BE FITTED WITH VENTILATION FAN.STAFF EXTREAMLY POLITE."
DERRICK said, "This is one of the best places I have at such an affordable rate! The Regent is central and conveniently located, room was excellently clean and spacious. I was travelling with 2 infants and my husband & I found staff helpful and caring. I would definitely go back again! Cheers to the staff!"
Jenny said, "My superior room was smaller than I expected though. But the quality of the room was superb: Previous reviews said this hotel had noisy rooms, but the one I had (rm 407) was very quiet & safe.Apart from enjoying a rare quiet room in the heart of bangkok, I also like the fact that my room is spotless & modern. ( My mum was very please that our room had no stained sheets, curtains or dead roaches or what have yous)Staff services are also v good. We are very impressed with their friendly attitudes. Can not comment on the complimentary breakfasts because we had full day schedules and had to get up early.(Their breaky starts quite late like 8am)Given the very handy location of this hotel- 1 mins walk to Sala Deng station & 4 mins walk to Silom Subway station, we were able to enjoy all the conveniences & facilities at our finger tips.We took full advantage of this hotel s excellent location & self-toured bangkok s popular tourist spots during the day;shop til we drop at night.I think part of the reason why we would definitely return to this hotel next time is because it s like at least one star higher than it advertised."
Henryk said, "Very nearby every central location on Silom road and MTR+BTS yet absolutely quiet and peaceful. Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean, pleasant and new rooms with air-con, hot shower/bath, fridge, TV. Maybe a little bit overpriced but nevertheless always worth a visit."
Wee said, "It is the most centralized hotel in Silom. So much nearer to Sala Daeng BTS than any other hotels could be in the stretch of Silom road. The room is rather small, i recommend you to go for a suite instead for more space. The breakfast is bare minimal for a guy like myself so do not expect anything other than a sausage, ham, two pieces of bread and serve with Tea/coffee and a small glass of orange juice. The hotel staff is really nice and friendly, speaks pretty good English so there isn t any communication break down. Overall, the place is small yet neat and tidy. Expect little and your stay will be great. The plus point of this place is its excellent location."
John said, "Excellant location,clean,tidy,friendly.room small,no window, breakfast poor.Will stay there again @ 1400 baht/night"
Philip said, "Quite a good hotel. Nice, clean deluxe rooms. Didnt have any probs with the shower liek soem ppl said... I was on 2nd flr and can hear a bit of traffic noise, but not too bad...A/c is good, tv reception not good. Breakfast is small. Right next to BTS station. Would stay here again."
Ronnie said, "Good location, very convenient shopping and just next to the Station. Staff are friendly. The room is clean and ok in general. However, the TV channel is disappointing, not even a news channel is available. The bathroom is big but the shower don t seem to work well, the airconditioner cannot be control even the maintenance could not help out."
Roger said, "really nice, small hotel. Not the best service maybe but in the center of Silom you will find everything you ll need by yourself.Consider price, lokation and freshness -Highly recomended"
Kenny said, "basic hotel, good value, good location but the shower water pressure is weak sometimes."
