John said, "We subway station and convenient to lots of nightlife and entertainment. Be sure to have all of your paperwork with you when you check in as the staff is usually completely confused. You will find either 5 people at tyhe front desk or none! The room is clean and comfortable and you get what you pay for. The breakfast offering is ample and the hours of operation convenient for most. Don t expect too much Thai hospitality though, we found that this was the only hotel we (5 hotels during our month here) where the famous Thai smile was seldom evident. We opted for the Deluxe room, our friends for the less expensive superior room. Our friends room was identical to ours with the exception of the TV, theirs was a brand new Sony!! Yes I would probably stay there again because of its convenient location but I might also check out some of the other hotels that are close by and in the same price range."

Ralf said, "Good location near Sukhumvitroad, 10 mins to the BTS Station Nana. Hotelstaff is friendly, I booked a Deluxe Room and I m not sure it was a only Standard Room. Breakfast is nice and good. Bad: I had to pay additional Bath 600 each night for my friend (not a bargirl). Totaly 2850.00 is very expensive ... but over all ... the Hotel is OK! I will book again!"

Jean said, "a very comfortable, clean hotel - good value for money.The pool is very small - we didn t bother to use it - but the rooms are a good size, breakfast buffet good, staff helpful.We also had a very decent evening meal in the restaurant: they have a basic western menu at 125bht including drink.We have would go there again."

Atif said, "The best part of the hotel was its location, almost everything is nearby. Very cooperative staff who greet you with a typical lovely thai smile. Room was nice and clean on the 5th floor, and the breakfast was decent. The fitness center and swimming pools are also alright. On the down side of it, be careful while using the phone cards as access rates differ from card to card. One card s access number cost me only 6 baht per call, while another cost me an outrageous 118 baht per call. So, just make sure you know what you re doing. I ll surely recommend this hotel and will stay here again, good value for money.Have fun^_^"

Øyvind said, "Terrible experience. Bad smell in room, shower tab out of use, Only 4 sunbeds at pool, no matress. Lost key to safe, and hotell kept no extra key or masterkey and charged 5000 bath! OK location, good breakfast, but will never use the hotel again, much better hotels nearby."

Kelvin said, "As other reviews state, not so nice from the outside but nice and welcoming on the inside. Staff friendly and helpful. Helpful as long as questions or queries are not too complicated then the language barrier can cause minor challenges. Rooms nice with everything you need. Huge building site to the right of the hotel and waste ground to the left (won’t be long until this is built on as well!) All in all quite a nice hotel but a little far out of town and right in the middle between two skytrain stations."

Carlo said, "Like others said, the outside is not so nice. The lobby is a whole different story. Room was fairly standard, nothing wow about it. That being said, the room was clean and spacious.Included breakfast had lots of variety, fresh fruits, continental style fare. They did have a few Thai dishes (noodles and a rice soup) that were quite tasty. Front desk staff was very helpful.The hotel is on a street which hosts a number of girly bars. If I remember correctly, the Hairy Pie Club was across the street and the No Bra Bar just to the south. This did not distract from our stay, just to forewarn you!"

Kasper said, "I had carefully read the previous reviews of the hotel so was expecting the worst for the front of the hotel.It was not all that bad, and the location is very very convenient for Sukhumvhit road, public transportation and the big MBK shopping mall.Booked a Superior room and it was definitely value for money. Nice large room with giant bed. Shower/toilet rather old, but functional. The breakfast buffet was ok with a lot of asian options - in general it seemed many japanese people etc. staying here.Would definitely stay here again next time looking for a cheap room in Bangkok."

The room was clean and the windows opened - very important to me - the aircon was quiet and the bed good. The sheets were good cotton.The shower leaked all over the floor but that was minor and didn t cause me any problems but could for someone older. They may slip on the water."

Gavin said, "As others have stated the hotel does not look great from the outside and indeed there is some building work taking place next door (which caused us no problems). The inside is fantastic with lots of polished marble and wood. The room was very good - we paid for the better room but it is still very cheap. Breakfast was top notch and they start at 5:30 which is good if you are going anywhere. We have this area is the best yet. The Sukhumvit road area is lively and not downmarket at all. There are some excellent restaurants and massage parlours very close."

Thomas said, "Recommendable. Looks a bit poor and old from outside, but inside it s a real 4 star hotel. Rooms are spacious, very clean, good furniture and have all you need. Breakfast in buffet form, whatever you want, perfect ! Pool on the roof is very small but o.k. for a short jump-in. Staff is very friendly and have very good English knowledge. We could check-in at 8.00 in the morning, they had a room for us. Could leave luggage on the last day till late evening without extra charge. Location is very good, 10 minutes walk to MRT and Skytrain. Next to hotel is a construction area, but had no trouble with that. Good value for the money ! We would stay there again."

On arrival I was thinking about the reviews that I had read that you will not be impressed by the outside appearance and the surrounding bars and prostitutes, but inside the hotel it is great. The service was far superior to other places we have the hotel manager was extremely helpful. Plus, the concierge helped me repeatedly avoid the cheats outside. I must reiterate- friendly and courteous staff. Same management and ownership of Novatel and Sofitel at a bargain price. Eight minute walk from the Skytrain and a nice park. Carrefour and Lotus are a short trip away as well."

Chan said, "The facade of the hotel poorly reflects the excellent interior. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful. Breakfast is good. Room is large and spacious with coffee and tea making facility and even has a hairdryer, with slippers and bathrobe to boot. It is only ten minutes slow walk from the sky train at the Emporium shopping centre. Concierge helps to get meter charging taxi. Great value for the price."

Ian said, "Very deceptive! From the outside looks nothing special, but inside its very nice indeed with good sized rooms, the room actually had a double bed and not 2 single beds pushed together. Ideally situated for the Emporium Shopping Centre and Sky Train, both being about 5 minutes walk away. Good price and Good location."

Especially Tohn...our guardian angel in many moments. There is construction on one side of the hotel and we asked to b moved because of the noise. This was no problem and our new room was excellent. The breakfast was very good with lots of variety. The interior design and lansscaping adds an atmosphere that is soothing and relaxing and adds a touch of serenity to the hotel. I highly recommend The Regency Park Hotel. Annoyingly the room wasn t ready (even though it was 6pm in the evening) and I was kept waiting 45 mins but got complimentary drink! Room in Tower okayish - a little old and tired, in need of renovation but acceptable.Facilities in hotel excellent and varied, location couldn t be more conveneint for Skytrain and Metro. Lots of good restraunts/bars/clubs in vacinity.Overall good value for money and I would stay again"

Mark said, "A very beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. English was spoken by most of the staff and we had no problem communicating our needs. The breakfast buffet was first class and served in a very beautiful atrium setting. Our deluxe room was large and well appointed. We were within walking distance to the skytrain and the underground metro. There were great western style restaurants all within walking distance. We this one was our favorite."

Thel said, "As we drove up in the taxi, we felt our hearts sink; the hotel did not look like much from the outside. The inside, however, is really very nice. The food is quite good, if not amazing, and the inclusive breakfast buffet is fantastic. There is lots of variety to satifsy Malaysian, Japanese, and Western tastes. The vegetarian selection was okay, although many of the more interesting dishes usually had meat or seafood (or at least fish sauce), but there were plenty of bread, rice, cereals, fruits and vegetables a la carte for vegans, kids and picky eaters.We were pleased with the service, although the rooms were cleaned according to some internal schedule and not at any particular time or even conveniently when we were out. The neighbourhood is good for a variety of reasons: very close to Sky train stops (walking distance to two) and the new subway; non-Thai restaurants and Thai restaurants. The rooftop pool is nothing special but better than no pool, but certainly the gym looked more than adequate.We later found out that the rate was excellent for Bangkok and the quality for the price was very good, although I would hestitate to confirm that the number of stars advertised when I booked was actually correct.In any case, we would stay there again."

Robert said, "My wife and I actually had three stays at Regency Park Bangkok during our recent vacation (Feb 5-9, Feb 11 and Feb 16-17). We used the hotel as `home base` between travels to Vietnam and Koh Samui.The hotel posesses a comforting, traditional look and feel. The staff and service were exceptionally good, with the immediate familiarity found only at smaller hotels.We only used the hotel dining room for breakfast meals, which were superb. I feel certain that luncheon and dinner would have been outstanding, as well.The location offered proximity to shopping, dining and entertainment venues, most within easy walking distance. The area surrounding the hotel was rich with daily street activities which we happily absorbed.We would make it a point to stay at the Regency Park if we were to visit Bangkok in the future."
