Roland said, "Very good hotel, nice rooms, nice pool, good restaurant service. Complementary pick-up from Suvanabumi airport very fast and friendly. Ideal if you just stop-over and want to relax. Not the ideal place for Bangkok sight-seeing as to far out of the city."
Brent said, "Very accomodating. Good breakfast buffet. Comfortable atmosphere"
Patthara-on said, "The Hotel is very fantastic, Once I arrived as the delux room are fully booked they upgrade me to Grand Courtyard room. I really impressed for the size of the room and the amenity. Totally perfect. I really love the hotel. Grand Courtyard building is better than Rama wing as it is a new building. I surely back to Rama Garden again for my next trip:)"
Tara said, "We had a very nice stay at Rama Gardens arriving at the hotel at 3:00 AM and still getting A-1 service. The bathroom was especially lovely and enjoyed laying in the bath and seeing the moon and stars out the window. The breakfast buffet was excellent with many choices whether I felt like eggs and toast or congee."
Tomoko said, "We again after our 2 week trip was over and we had to fly out early the next morning. All of the rooms & facilities are really nice & clean, comfortable and spacious, although the Grand Courtyard rooms are gorgeous and significantly nicer than the main building s rooms. With all of the traveling we did on our trip, this hotel surprised us as a modern & reliable place where we felt we could relax. Complimentary breakfast buffet was amazing!"
Chris said, "Good size rooms in new wing. Fabulous bathroom with picture window giving view of city while you take a deep bath! Public areas very nice, pool area needed a little t.l.c. - jacuzzi was not in use. This was great for an overnight stopover but lacked a little something in terms of soul - will be interesting to see how hotel is affected when new airport opens in September 2006; across the other side of town..."
J. said, "It was really great and we enjoyed our stay. We will back as soon as possible and of course at the Rama Gardens Hotel."
Mr said, "Convenient for airport, used by lots of aircrew.OK for a one night stop over, but not for a longer stay. A fairly typical, impersonal, airport hotel feel to the place. I there is a large swimming pool. These are not particularly peaceful, being under the flight path for planes taking off. There is a choice of restaurants on the ground floor of the hotel, but the service is not all that hot. The buffet breakfast is good. There is a complimentary shuttle service into Bangkok to a couple of central shopping plazas. This hotel is adequate for a one night stay, but not recommended as a base for exploring Bangkok. A few minutes longer in a taxi will take you to much nicer places closer to the centre of the city."
Yuko said, "The hotel is good but a little bit far from the city."
Mr said, "This is a fairly typical airport hotel. Lots of air crew and people in transit. It is a fair distance from the air port but right under a flight path. This isn t too obvious in the hotel, but it is noisy in the pool and grounds. Rooms not very inspiring, decor in need of refurbishment. For the sake of staying in the taxi for ten minutes longer we could have leaving after breakfast then OK.Any longer stay would not be recommended.Hotel restaurants were very average and the rooms not nice enough to linger in."
Doreen said, "a very good quality hotel our recent stay was great. staff excelent check in and check out was hassle free.a good buffet breakfast with good service. would reccomend the grand courtyard worth the extra the best airport hotel i have the cafe were simply not well air conditoned."
Craig said, "The hotel was good clean and good service and great value for money."
hana said, "Room was fine, concierge staff was helpful. The check-in people don t tell you they are providing a coupon for breakfast and never cracked a slight smile. The Greenery Cafe s staff provided very poor service during dinner by messing up the order, being slow and otherwise discourteous. Overall it is a good hotel for the value and easy travel to the airport."
Chad said, "It is a shame that we only highly exceed our expectations."
Reda said, "The room was clean and sufficient for our one-night stay before an early flight the next day. Service was disappointing as the staff were not helpful and quite curt, even in simple inquiries such as booking a taxi. Overall though an unmemorable stay but conviniently close to the airport."
K.John said, "This is 2nd time at Rama Gardens 1st Class Service food very good Check in great early morning bell boy needs at lot of inproving 3 very unhappy groups of people waiting for taxis."
Diane said, "Rama Gardens is a very nice hotel if you require an overnight before an early morning flight. Generally the noise from planes taking off was minimal, and the food was great. The only suggestion I have for the hotel is that they offer complimentary shuttle services to and from the hotel and airport as a request for pick-up costs 400 baht, which is quite pricey for the distance travelled."
Terry said, "Had a deluxe room for a one night layover. Very clean, modern and comfortable. Close to airport (200B taxi)and quiet.Decent restaurants with good selection and service. Breakfast available at 4am checkout. Highly recommended for anyone needing a airport hotel in Bangkok."
Lewis said, "typical of most airport hotels - very expensive and mediocre. The journey to the hotel is a pain unless you pre book a hotel shuttle. I didn t and it cost me 350B to go about four KM (I could have got a metered taxi rather than airport taxi I know, but queue was horendous). Rooms adequate, ate in resaurant and the food was adequate but barely exciting (TG in flight meals are more exciting). Check out was slow despite missing a big group checking out about 20 minutes before me. Big disadvantage - travel back to airport and you have to go almost to Sukhumvit to do U turn on highway before you can go back to airport - allow 20 to 30 minutes. Rating - very average, not worth the moeny - if youare going to spend circa 4000B for one night - choose a Sukhumvit hotel at 2500 / 3000 and spend balance on limo to go to hotel and back - much more fun (and almost as convenient if you arrive out of rush hour) recommendation - avoid it unless you really have to stay near the airport."
Dina said, "Hotel itself is nice and very close to the airport (if you go from the airport, not to the airport which will take you ~15 minutes more), but has 2 seriuos issues: a/c system in suite smells bad - we even had to turn it off and the personell seems to have no idea what they are doing and do not really care about it"
Richard said, "A convenient hotel near the airport. The pickup service was excellent. The rooms are spacious with all the amenities. I was in the new building but the halls were a bit dreary and the carpet definitely needed to be changed. I was also given a room with a view of the freeway, but since I was in transit, it really didn t matter. The buffets were very good with a large selection of food. I had three meals there, breakfast, lunch and dinner."
Frank said, "The hotel was spectacular and the rooms over looking the pool were perfect. The food was also out of this world"
Emma said, "This is a huge hotel - we modern. The pool was lovely and warm and a nice place to relax although it s under the flightpath. The food wasn t up to much and it s not somewhere to spend the evening as there was no atmosphere but a good place to stay for 1 night near the airport."
Peggy said, "Good location for overnight stay. Clean & comfortable rooms. Buffet breakfast was really good."
Peter said, "Well kept and functional hotel nearby the airport. we reas said, "Our second stay at Rama Gardens, this year we upgraded to deluxe room in grand coutyard wing. We would recommend this everybody, for these deluxe room are really great for a not very high price. Rama Gardens is OK for people with short stay in Bangkok because its near to airport. Furthermore they offer transfer service to Siam Square several times a day, so you also can get easy access to the central city (30 minutes).Great pool area. Breakfast is ok. We would stay there again!"
Sreedhara said, "Good hotel. nice food. A nice room, value for money. It s not business savvy though. The internet connection, took like for ever."
Karen said, "This hotel was excellent - nice gym, great pool and beautiful surroundings and rooms. Mattress was a little firm, but that seems to be normal everywhere in Thailand. It was a 20 minute cab ride into downtown, and worth it to stay somewhere quiet (and also not to worry about fighting traffic to get to the airport on time). I d absolutely recommend it."
Cathryn said, "Enjoyed the stay. Nice clean room. Not much of a view from our room, but that was not important to us. Very nice, efficient staff.I would recommend this hotel, especially if you need to stay near the airport."
Carl said, "I found this to be a very nice hotel. When I arrived, they tried to downgrade my room without refund, however. Only upon hearing my complaints did a senior staff member instruct the desk employee to upgrade me, instead. The room was gorgeous, though there was no internet connection as advertised (only half of the floors have it). Breakfast buffet was good. I overheard that the hotel had been remodeled within the last 2 years, and it looks great."
Sara said, "Great hotel for the night before a departure out of BKK. Our room was basic but very clean, and the staff was very friendly. One thing that we will not forget was the great buffet that was offered in the main restaurant of the hotel. We were thrilled with the last meal of our vacation."
Eddie said, "This hotel was just as expected. We had no problems. The room was fine and the breakfast had an excellent selection. The location is good for the airport but still only a short taxi to downtown. If staying in Bangkok we will return to the Rama Gardens,"
George said, "his is an excellent hotel to use if you are in transit in Bangkok. We were in late from Cambodia and out the next morning to Koh Chang. Pick-up service was efficient and was check-in. Rooms are spacious. Easy check-out and quick drive back to airport. Good value for money."
Tanya said, "The room was showing a few signs of wear and tear but nothing too major. We were only staying for a night so the close location to the airport suited our purposes perfectly. Large breakfast was included. The gardens are supposed to be nice but we didn t get to see them"
Kasper said, "The Grand Courtyard (Deluxe rooms) are absolutely amazing and very big! My general impression of the hotel/service was very very good although my stay was very short (late arrival and early morning connection flight). The pool area looked amazing but didn t have the time to go there. The hotel is about 5-10 minuts from the airport (but expect a little longer when going to the airport as the driver will have to drive quite far before he can do a u-turn).Due to late arrival of my flight, and big delay in immigration I did not expect my arranged airportpickup to be there, but the hoteldriver was still there althugh I was 2 hours delayed."
Dave said, "We wanted a nice hotel to crash for a night before we headed to Koh Samui. This was an absolutely gorgeous resort. We Courtyard in a Deluxe room which was wonderful. Very much a five-star hotel and with the proximity to the airport, I think it s a great place to crash either the night you arrive at BKK or the night before you leave. The breakfast buffet was wonderful - huge variety including Thai food, pastries, eggs, bacon, fruit, and more."
Bob said, "Convenient, reasonably priced hotel just a few minutes from the airport. Perfect for our layover. Clean rooms and competent staff. A nice alternative to the Amari."
Ralph said, "We only had a large and comfortable bed. The bathroom was however showing signs of wear - shaver socket not functional for example; tile grouting a bit tatty. The buffet dinner and breakfast were excellent. If you want a hotel near the airport this one is fine."
Sarah said, "We returning from Koh Samui. The airport pick up was prompt and the service was very friendly. The food at the hotel was good, particularly the breakfast which was included. On our first stay, we Courtyard deluxe room in the newer wing of the hotel. This room was absolutely gorgeous, with a beautiful big tub next to a window overlooking the grounds, and a large stand up shower with seat, beautful marble and a wonderful room throughout. On the return trip we booked a standard room. It was a clean and convenient place to stay, but the standard was much lower than the in the new wing, therefore I would highly recommend anyone to splurge on the few dollars for the upgrade, you ll be glad you did."
Terry said, "The hotel was lovely. We arrived at 1:30 in the morning so were really just wanting to sleep and not check out our surroundings, but we were impressed with how beautiful the hotel was. However, we didn t get the room we booked, nor did we get picked up at the airport as we requested. We were told the next day that we didn t qualify for shuttle service. But all in all, we were pleased with the quality/cleanliness of the room and the service. I would stay there again."
Fam. said, "Pick up from airport was easy and smooth. Rooms were very comfortable (the pillows and comforter so soft that we fell asleep immediately) Watch out for the step down into the bathrooms - it got us nearly every time. We enjoyed the Thai restaurant but didn t have time to check out the pool. Very pleased."
Pattama said, "Very good value for money. Spacious room with all amenities. This hotel has proper sport complex with swimming pool, tennis courts and squash courts. Breakfast is also very good. Highly recommend."
Gerald said, "While the room was very spacious and confortable, the hotel was a bit run down. The internet service was not working, the fridge was warm (no cold beer - disaster!), room service took forever, then told me that they had run out of what I wanted, by which time the restaurants were closed. An unfortunate experience but mitigated by the wonderfully attentive Thai staff."
Nicola said, "Very handy for stopover in Bangkok - only 15 minutes from the airport. Good value."
Mr.Elmer said, "I was in the new wing. It doesn t get much better. Very quiet. The marble floor in the bathrooms is slippery so watch that."
Christina said, "Bed is very comfortable, room spacious, and breakfast is very good. Value for money definitely."
John said, "nice room, decent base price, but the add-ons made it much more expensive than expected. charge for airport transfer (much more expensive than a meter taxi), charge for sauna/jacuzzi, internet charge very high, etc."
Bruce said, "Found hotel to be clean and staff were attentive, took about 20min. to get to airport in morning, watch out for taxi drivers"
