Rod said, "It was out thrid stay at the Prince Palace Hotel, i like the hotel and the brekfast is great, the swimming pool is very nice. The only draw back is that the cab drivers do not seem to keen to go to the hotel if you are to far away. We found this on a number of times and it was a real hassle."
Cecilia said, "Very nice suites, large rooms and very good location of the hotel. It was very nice to have two pool areas, they did not have enough sunbeds but ok anyway."

AIDAN said, "I had booked a 1 bedroomed suite and hoped to get a big room in the old section of the hotel as many times before when I the resataurants good. The check in personnel are not as attentive or helpful as they were in previous stays, not willing to put themselves out too much to help.Overall a good value hotel but they neeed to look at the rooms and to let their staff know that the customer is God."
Andrey said, "the hotel is fine - good location, excellent room service, friendly staff, good pool."
Burkhard said, "We have been here for the second time. The rooms are clean and the staff was mostly helpfull if we asked. They were always friendly, but sometimes they didn t know about their own hotel. It was helpfull to be able to speak Thai."
Champa said, "It s already the third time that I come in this hotel with my husband and I think of him a beautiful hotel, rooms great and beautiful service."
Mikael said, "Very nice hotel! A little bit far from the main areas thou, and not any places around to eat at, and the hotels food was very expensive, so thats the only comlaint we had. Would gladly stay there again!"
Peter said, "We booked a suite for our weekend in Bangkok. Suite was exactly as web photo and it was out 3rd stay in this hotel. Good breakfast buffet and staff are nice. I would recommend this hotel to everybody..."
Nadja said, "good price, good hotel. breakfast is perfect. beds are soft."
Amanzholova said, "It s a nice hotel. with nice stuff. Special thanks to a minibus driver who s name is Tian. Hopefully next year we will visit you again"
4kieron said, "Hotel was nice, and in a good area for the experience of real bangkok and the people. The night clerk who eas working when we got there at 4am was very good and let us in the room early at 6:45am which was awesome, but the two day receptionists were rubbish and not helpful at all. We needed house keeping to put some stuff in our room but instead of getting hold of them they put a phone in my hand and told me to sort it out. And you have to pay extra to use the gym which was a dissapointment. Apart from the rubbish receptionist it was a decent hotel, but i would not go back as that was enough to put me off"
d. said, "we arrived at the hotel on 27/12/07 with two friends on their first visit to thailand we spent a wonderful time in pattya and krabi and would end our holiday with 2 days of shopping in bangkok, on our arrival we decided to have lunch at the 11th floor pool restaurant which turned out to be a mistake. by now being used to the warm and very friendly hospitality of the people of pattaya and krabi we were taken aback by the lack of friendliness which the Thai people are known for at the pool restaurant we ordered 5 meals and drinks the drinks arrived and about 20 minutes the meals minus 1 spaghetti bolognese. we asked our waiter about te meal and he assured us it will follow shortly we all waited in order to eat together after 4 requests I asked to speak to a manager the reply was that there was no manager till the evening eventually the meal arrived 50 minutes later by which time everybody had eaten not to let their food get cold it appeared as if the staff avoided us deliberately instead of being honest about messing up our order which we would have accepted better than being avoided.needless to say we avoided using the pool restaurant again. That evening we dined at the sushi restaurant which turned out to be an excellent meal with the traditional hospitality of the Thai people, our compliments to the staff at that restaurant the evening of our departure we decided on the Prince cafe we once again ordered drinks as well as a bottle of french wine from the drinks menu [we did not enjoy the house wine from Chille which was presented on our table ] we waited a long time for our drinks and asked repeatedly what happened to our drinks order [in our tradition and possably all over the world drinks are enjoyed whilst waiting for your meal ] eventually our food and drinks arrived simultaneous minus the bottle of wine when I asked about the wine i was told it was not available. in my opinion if any item on a menu is not available remove it from the menu or alternatively train your waiters to know what is not available instead of waiting till the last minute to tell you the item is not available they eventually offered me an alternative wine halfway through our meal, at that point I was very agitated and told the waiter to get lost. This was our 3rd visit to your hotel and also the most dissappointing one, we have referred all our friends and family to your hotel in the past whom have booked with you I also felt embarrased in the prescence of our friends travelling with us after telling them what a excellent hotel the Prince Palace is only to be let down by your restaurant staff s lack of professionalism as for the rooms and reception excellent as in the past"
Ole said, "Good standard and reasonable price. We would stay there again."
doron said, "hello to whom it may helpfirst of all booking on sawadee was siginficantly cheapper than doing it alone.secondly and most important the hotel is great the staff, rhe rooms, the food, the pool, me and my wife where on a honey moon and enjoied it very much.the location is good 7 min from kaosan st.and 7 min from Mbk.the problem with the hotel is that there r no places near by to do laundry, or use the internet, the hotel is much exepensive- that is the only bad thing about it was just perfect"
Lena said, "a very nicy hotel which is really big!it is okay for the price but the next time we would take a hotel which is in a better location."
Usko said, "Otherwise good hotel, but the neighbourhod very local. No eating or drinking places for tourist execpt in the hotel itself. Th shops in the building overadvertized . We did ou main shopping still in MBK ."
Jackie said, "While the hotel is rated as 4 stars, it really is more of a 3 star hotel by western standards. It is a large, sprawling complex in an area known for its wholesale garment shops. If you like that sort of thing, then you are staying at the right place. The staff are friendly, although quite inefficient and somewhat misinformed. We booked a 1 bedroom suite through Sawadee.com but they tried to give us a Superior room. They were quick to fix the issue but did not have any working key cards. So they sent us to our room (which is in another building) and told us Housekeeping will open the door. So we waited outside the room for 20 mins, but no one showed up. After unsuccessfully calling Housekeeping, we had to go all the way back to Reception to report that nobody showed up. It was 11 pm at night and after spending 18+ hours on a plane, we we didn t appreciate the extra hassle. Also, there was a strange odor in the lobby of the hotel that smelled like a mix of the outside pollution and dirty water. Maybe it had something to do with their air conditioning. All in all, for 2000 baht per night, you get what you pay for. A decent room, but don t expect Hilton or Marriot standards."
CAPPELLETTI said, "VERY NICE HOTEL, PERFECT POSITION TO VISIT THE CITY CENTER, NEAR TO THE MBK SHOPPING CENTER. THE HOTEL IS VERY VERY BIG AND ALSO ALWAYS NET!"
Justin said, "The best hotel in the worst part of town! The hotel staff were polite and helpful, the Prince Palace Hotel Mahanak decor beautifully designed, and the room comfortable and clean. The breakfast and restaurant offerings were delicious, well presented and well priced. Would recommend the hotels taxi service. The only down side to the Prince Palace Hotel Mahanak was that it was situated in a location far from places of interest in Bangkok, and in a not so great part of town. In short, 9.5 out of 10."
Geoffrey said, "Great value and only wish we could have , for us, an ideal location."
Albert said, "place was nice, but it s really big.i literally got lost coz it s comprised with 4 big towers, including the bo bae tower which is a bargain shop from ground floor to 11th floor.hotel is quite far from the city but i should say that i had a nice stay in the hotel.i would suggest the management to replace the lady in the reception(who looks like a vietnamese), because not only is she rude and cannot speak good english, she s not accomodating to the guest.that s a mean gesture to not entertain your guest well specially you re working at the front desk of a four star hotel.except this flaws,i should say that this hotel is highly recommended."
Olivier said, "This Hotel is good. But very big !!!"
Rod said, "We the pool was in an excellent location. The breakfast was good and the hotel was in a good location for everything we needed. We booked again for when we went back to Bangkok for 1 night while we done our shopping etc. Would go back."
Juergen said, "A nice Hotel. It is a little Old but with a very good service. You stay middle of the Bo Boe Market. It is the biggest Market of Closes in Bangkok. 50 m from a Klong Taxi Station. Near of China Town. 20 Min (by feet) to the Big Palace. We stay there the 4. time."
Reija said, "The hotel was really nice and clean. The staff was nice but did not speak that good English. We had some troubles getting calls through to our room since the staff could not understand the caller..If you are booking a business hotel I would maybe think twice but for leisure the hotel was perfect"
ITZHAK said, "The hotel fasilities and rooms are at a reasonable 4 star hotel level (western standard) and for a very good price. Good situation, rich breakfast, nice pool with a good singer. To improove: a. for a 4 star hotel with a lot of international guests the lobby staff english has to be much better; b.we hawe traweled to the floating market, leaving the hotel at 6:30 a.m. the day before we have asked for a lunch box, becoase at holidays we are not eating our breakfast so early - the answer of the lobby staff was that we have to collect the box at 4 a.m.!!!! We didn t order a box. In the morning we drank a cup of coffee in the dining room and took two croissants away for a later snack - the staff kached us, as if we were thievesand required to return the croissants - this is very bad attitude to guests!!!!!"
Irene said, "Nice room but VERY BAD SERVICE. It seems a 4 star hotel, but it is a facade. A too big hotel (2 towers, )25 floors) which makes it uncomfortable for a stay. The Suite room is big and clean. We arrived at 15:00 and our room was not ready, they were still cleaning. They made us wait for 15 minutes at reception without being asked whether we wanted anything to drink. The receptionist wrote the wrong room number, so the baggage guy could not open our room. We waited again for him to get the correct room number. Later, one of the staff gave us wrong directions to the wrong swimming pool (there are 2).Breakfast was OK. There was a cook making omelettes who disappeared and left a burning/smoking pan in the middle of the buffet. The safe broke with our documents inside. Safes are cheap and break often (apparently hotel technician had to fix several during same morning). At 10:00 we asked the personnel to open our safe, they told us in 10 minutes the hotel technician would come to our room and fix it. Nobody came. At 10:45 we asked again and were told the technician was coming. Nobody came. At 11:15 I went to reception. They told me the technician was in our room. I phoned my partner, but the technician was not there. Finally at 11:30 the technician come and open the box.The bad hotel service wasted 5 hours in total of our weekend in Bangkok (4 friends waiting in reception).Summary: I have been to other 4 star hotels in Bangkok for similar price and better service. Go to any other than Prince Palace. Do not worry about location, taxis are inexpensive."
Huang said, "i booked two rooms, twin bed room is huge and comfortable, single bed room is super small. desipte that, other services are quite good."
Amaraswamy said, "The Hotel is excellent and we don t have any complaints . The only problem is Location as its not in good Locality and transpotation is also poor as Taxi people are asking more from that hotel point and Hotel people not bothing about this . Its their responsibility to lookinto this Problem ,Otherwise Simply Superb about Hotel"
Michael said, "This is a newer building, with rooms similar to those at a Best Western or Comfort Inn in the USA. It s a good value, but you can easily hear plumbing noises and closing doors from the other rooms that might wake you up early in the morning. There are blackout curtains which kept out nearly all the light in the morning. Mini-fridge, cable TV, plenty of places to put things. Simple amenities in the bathroom, marble counter and tiles. The room was clean overall, but there was black mold in the bathroom grout which could have easily been removed with a little bleach. Great view from room 2214. Also had desk, 2 chairs and table. This was a large room for a budget hotel. They do not have an iron and ironing board for guests to use (you have to use their pressing service, which isn t available at all times) this was a major negative for me, since I arrived with a suitcase full of wrinkled clothing. The beds were of medium firmness, which was a nice change from the usually rock-hard beds in Thailand. The in-room safe was free to use. This hotel management apparently thinks that guests are there to take things from the room. For example, the toilet paper holder in my room s bathroom had room for 2 rolls of toilet paper, but they only put in one roll. There was a price list posted that listed what you would be charged for each item missing from the room upon checkout. When we checked out in the morning, we had to wait nearly 10 minutes at the front desk while they had a maid inventory our room for missing items before they would give us our receipt. This wasted precious time while we were trying to get to the airport. The biggest problem with this hotel is that it s not within reasonable walking distance of either the underground or the Sky Train. It took us 25 minutes to walk to the nearest Sky Train station (National Stadium). Because there s no transit in this area, traffic is heavy, so you can take a taxi, but you ll sit in traffic. Even though the hotel was a good value at $35 per night I would only stay here again if everything were booked elsewhere."
Justus said, "Good hotel for a short stay in Bangkok. Your are quite near to all interesting places. But do not expect any entertainment inside the hotel due to chinese management. But the service is very good."
Fred said, "We had a very spacious, well equipped room with a stunning view over Bangkok from the 15th floor. Breakfast was also good, try to get a window seat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. At the ground floor there is a taxi service, if you don t want to go by taxi, better ask the staff at the reception in the 11th floor, they will give you information about bus connections and so on. The hotel is not located close to the main traffic lines as Skytrain or Subway, but you can use the bus instead once you found out which one to take. Over all, it was worth the money and I can surely recommend it."
Ron said, "The hotel is allright, taxi s do not like it as it is not easy to get to.Staff friendly, rooms are clean.Shopping right next door. This is a nice hotel for budget travellers."
Jon said, "Standard rooms are comfortable but a little dated, poorly lit and the television reception is appalling. If you must stay in this area then its OK, the pool is good as is the restaurant."
RAYMOND said, "I first saw the hotel about 5 years ago when I conducted some business at the Bobe Market. My wife and I had lunch in the hotel and I was impressed with the service and decor. I told my wife that given the chance, I wanted to spend a few nights at the hotel. I was not disapointed. Great service, clean modern room, close to my business apointments and to top it off, a great buffet breakfast was included with the price. I now tell my wife the name of the hotel is the Prince Ray Hotel."
Linda said, "Great location, rooms quite nice, buffet breakfast was 0k. The Thai employees were fantastic, very kind, gracious and helpful.THe pool is beautiful."
Harald said, "Very good service, very clean and very good food. The Hotel is located in a nice aerea. We ll come back."
Stefan said, "Super Hotel, einfach zu empfehlen ! Bei der Preislage gibt es kein Besseres (zumindest mir nicht bekannt!)Bietet jeden vorstellbaren komfort.1200 Bath die Nacht mit guten Frühstück !! Volle Punktezahl !It is very great"
