Royal Parkview Hotel

Hans said, "The Royal Parkview Hotel is well situated in the city, close to good restaurants and cafés and to the Skytrain. The hotel itself is in strong need of maintenance! It is dirty with dirty carpets and curtains, not working running water, (we did not have hot water) missing electric bulbs, doors on one hinge, television out of order etc. etc. Air condition that can t cool. The rooms need repainting and refurbishing before it can call itself Royal! But apart from these minor disadvantages...So we moved to the Shangri La. Kind regards H.Hey"

Paolo said, " young daughter. The room was in a dire need of redecoration, windows were dirty (looked they never been cleaned for ages), tatty furniture and worn out carpet gave off a bad smell. The maid had the strange habit of letting herself in at 8am to check the room without knocking the door. Very rude and annoying if you are still sleeping. Breakfast food was almost inedible, fit for dogs at best. The service from staff was slack, like they couldn t be bothered (my wife who s Thai over-heard them complaining about not being paid salary). The place is full of cheap package tourists, who are loud and bad mannered.I mean for 1,800 baht per night this was a rip off, location is good but in between BTS station. Outside the hotel some of the most hard core taxi touts, who wouldn t take no for an answer, pestering people to use their service on dodgy taxis at 5 times the standard fares. Avoid this place like plague, definitely the worst hotel I have ever been in Thailand."

Krishneel said, "room was nice especially the shower. great view. tv didnt have many channels, air con was a bit week, breakfast was lame and main lobby was a lil smelly."

HARDY said, "When we are in bangkok we use to go to SIAM SQUARE in small hotel like Reno. Unfortunatelly this hotel was fully booked, we decided to book a superior room on internet photos of Royal Parkview seemed very nice. We ve been very disappointed the carpet was very dirty, big holes in the ceiling of the bathroom, general unsatisfactory state of the hotel. We do not recommend this hotel"

Nelly said, "the hotel was not bad as rooms, but i want to inform you that there is many things is stolen from my room 3 bags for women and 2 T-shirt for men, as well as the breakfast must be continental not Thai breakfast as not every one would like to eat thai food"

john said, "it was terrible dirty hotel. They checked me into a dirty room that had not been cleaned. The carpet thruout hotel was filthy. They charged very expensive rates for laundry. I would never go there again."

Joseph said, "First of all the room I was taken to was unmade. Then when taken to the second room the room stank, bathroom light was not working and the cuboard was broken. The wall paper was peeling and the room had the feel of a cheap cheese motel. Travelers beware there are lots of nicer hotels to go to in the city in this price range. Highly unrecomended."

Caroline said, "I had trouble trying to get to the review part for this hotel so I booked it on blind faith which turned out to be VERY BAD!! I do not recommend this hotel what so ever even if you are ona budget. We booked the delux room with an extra bed. When we got there the staff were useless and rude the room was disgstion and didn t even have the extra bed just 2 singles ones. The shower head wasn t even attahed, The walls were stained and the roof was peeling,there was open wires comming out the wall. We had to ask to for another room and when we got there it wasn t even made up. Alos there were plenty of bugs in the room too. We were only there for 2 nights otherwise I would have asked for my money back and left very quickly. The food was disgusting. Everything about this place ws bad. I hated every single second I was there. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE if you need to go on a budget you d be better off at a back packers."

Rouah said, "Very bad hotel I do not recommended it to anyone. The rooms are durty,end they are not cleaned every day. The staff is not there to help you in anyway. During the breakfast ( which is absoluty horefull) some one stole my bag with all my credit cards and money and the security said that they did not see anything. The video camera of security do not work there are just there for fun. I have been unable to talk with the manager. So please do not go to this place. I have never seen a so bad hotel in all Thailand."

Anthony said, "A bit shabby for the price - no cable tv, broken lamp, peeling wallpaper, lovely little min-bar fridge - which was empty though, which surely defeats the purpose... didn t really dare ring room service as the reception staff spoke almost no english and didn t try to be particularly helpful. All in all, a nice place for an average price range, but priced as it is to rival the Ambassador and other decent executive hide-outs, it s just not very impressive."

Jessica said, "A really nice room and a good location i Bangkok, but the brekfast was very bad."

Maxim said, "Simply a disaster. :( Rooms are REALLY old with a lot of stains, terrible dust everywhere and wallpapers literally falling of the walls. Some of the electronic equipment (like bulbs and switches) are out of order. Not very friendly stuff with serious lack of knowledge in English language. Breakfast was literally WORST i ve ever had in the hotels. Peace of advise: DON t go there. I switched to Zenith and was really happy with this."

Syed said, "The hotel s lobby is good. Room quality was average. Breakfast was poor quality, there was hardly any food left when I arrived about 30 mins. before closing of breakfast buffet.Joiner fee of 800 Bahts was a surprise and seemed absurd. That applies even for a relative as well. Staff was not so curtious, and infact rude. Will never stay with them again."

Claire said, "Great location. Rooms very clean and spacious. Varied breakfast. Fantastic tailor shop by reception. Much cheaper compared to other tailors and the quality is great."

Chester said, "Great hotel nice fresh water pool, near both the subway and sky train stations. All the entertainment you could want within a couple of blocks."

Lewis said, "overall it s a good hotel by its class,room a bit old but still ok. breakfast not as good as other hotel i stay before. near to almost everything yet not so noisy, take abt 5 min to asok sky train....good for family stay..."

Sandra said, "The welcome was o.K. and the hotel-lobby too. But the room a disappointement. Everything needs a good clean, even bed and bathroom were not clean. This was one long time ago sure a good hotel, but it seems the holder of this hotel never made an investigation of their earned money. Breakfast everything you want, but cold even when their where all to keep food hot..."

Stefan said, "i have I find that the service has become less good. Breakfast is very poor and the cleaning service is not what it used to be. Towels are very worn and the hotel is 2fading ."

Mr.Klaus said, "The hotel is in a very central location and the rooms are spacious and clean. The entire hotel is quite old and would need some renovation (especially the bath rooms!)."

Chris said, "From the impressive entrance to the nice pool and gym equipment, our stay at this hotel was definitely well enjoyed. Rooms were very comfortable and clean with great bathroom (marble) facilities and fantastic view (21st floor). Sadly the pool was not used until 9 hours after we checked out (very thankful!!!). Complimnentary buffet breakfast was adequate for all tastes and the staff were always very helpful.The hotel is situated only 5-10 minutes away from Asok Sky Train and the newly opened Sukhumvit underground station. So location is great considering, the main shopping areas are only a few stops away. Though due to being in the far east it took some time to get to the Old City!, this was mainly due to terrible Bangkok traffic though.Will defintely use again next time :-)"

Georges said, "The hotel needs some maintenance and refurbishment. Although some floors are claimed to be non-smoking, the smell is everywhere, particularly carpets. Breakfast buffet acceptable, not outstanding"
