Hans S. rated it: Experience:"The Nana hotel. Was there, alone, with wife or with wife & children very many times. Sometimes the desk staff are friendly, sometimes not so friendly. The rooms are reasonable roomy, reasonably clean, reasonably light. (well, not all of them) Beds are very big and really good. The bar is reasonable, the breakfast is plenty and reasonable. Everything in this hotel is reasonable. But very central for what I need a hotel for. And the prices, well.....reasonable. and very near to Nana Plaza, if you need that. All in all, I will go there again."

Jerome said, "Great location,unique buffet breakfast,welcome drink(juice of a Walker s)at very affordable prices. Safety futuristic, can t get in without your personal ID provided by hotel.Unfortunately lots of rooms without a window. would have been nice to watch the carpark, which is among the top 10 sight in Bangkok: more pretty girls than beautifull cars. But does it really matter? You always sleep eyes wide shut."

I was woried about some reviews about the rude staff but when I came it was fine and they were helpfull... there are a few with serious faces and attitude but shouldn t be an obsticale. Pool great, Breakfast great, room good eventhough there were a few small cockroaches. Highly recommended for this area."

Ho said, "This is an aging hotel, Overall service seem good enough.The room toilet need refurbishing. For this price and in the middle of all the actions, what else you want? One word of advice, never take a cab that is park inside the hotel compound, they slaughter."

J said, "Views from your room window can range from excellent to none whatsoever( I have experienced both at numerous stays.) You do experience a discount by using booking service. The room itself is nice and the location is unbeatable - plenty of opportunity to create a nice view inside your room. This hotel is well-run, guest-friendly with id card. Nice restaurant and good breakfast served until 10 a.m. If you want a room you should make a booking as it often will be fully booked."

Claus-Peter said, "The standard room is for one person sufficient, but two may be a little bit cramped. While the restaurant and cleaner staff was very friendly, the desk staff is mixed. Particularely on older lady is sometimes outright rude - very rare in LOS. When I arrived at 8am, I was told that I can either have a room in the 2nd story (I ordered 6th above) or wait until 2pm (I asked for early check in) I insisted on my order and got my room on the 6th floor at 9am. So sometimes you need patience. I can t complain about noise, except the occasional guest having a conversation with their girlfriends in the aisle instead of their rooms, but I m always traelling with ear plugs anyway.The breakfast is mhh, how do I put it politely? I went after the first day to the Landmark hotel and had my breakfast there on the terrasse. Altogether, if you don t expect 5 * you wont be disappointed. Don t go with your asian wife or fiance they wont feel comfortable passing the parking lot at night... But after all, you get what you pay for."

Francis said, "I have I was inconvenient, but could live with it! One reception lady was so rude, that I almost lost my cool, kept calm due to my wifes influence! The room was tatty to say the least! Outside was a nice view of soi 4, not bad apart from the building site immediately below our window! From 0700h to 1800h, banging, thumping, crashing and grinding noise was to be heard, not too good whilst trying to sleep off the evening before!The kids were roomed next door! They were happy, and did not notice the noise, probably due to their PS2 going night and day! Heaps of praise to the lifeguards and the room service guys, my 9yr old was looked after in the pool area, almost as if she was related to them! Bravo to theose guys! Restaurant staff, quality, as usual! The main gripe was that rude reception lady, when I suggested that I may leave a bad review, her response was that it was up to me, and I could do what i want, she is not bothered! If you stay here, insist on a room overlooking Sukhumvit, the sound of the BTS is more relaxing!!"

Mike said, "Located ideally for adult night life. Dated rooms, but clean and large enough for a party. Staff was very nice. Security after dark was not an issue. Large safe in room as well. JW Marriot is next door and 4-5 times the $$ so this is a better deal IMHO. The Golden Bar downstairs is a great place to people watch. Will stay again in the future."

Gary said, "Large rooms, massive bed. asked for non smoking but room was a smoking room and the smell was quite a distraction. A few of the desk staff where rather stand offish, this is the first time i have noticed what appears a certain amount of disrespect for the customers at a hotel in thailand. i witnessed one incident where one member of the desk staff was very rude to a customer. That said, i was unfortunate enough to have to be admitted to hospital and once contacted, the staff at nana held open my room until i was released from hospital with no fuss. Hotel is ideal location for the best nightlife areas of bangkok ie nana plaza, soi cowboy and early sukhumvit soi s. If you want a boutique hotel in a quiet relaxing enviroment then Nana hotel is NOT the place to book, if you want to be in the centre of it all Book it."

At check in was told they were too busy so had to have a room with two single beds!!!!Asked if they had rooms with double beds and they said yes if i wanted to pay difference. Said had a double booked so they should upgrade me!!!Then the land of smiles becomes the land of sad faces!!Great location if you want to party!!!!"

Lewis said, "Hotel halls look old and musty. Room was satifactory. Tv channels good. Breakfast buffet good. Overall things were fine as long as you do not hang out in the hallways. Very convenient to bts, subway, and nightlife. Good for a budget traveler."

Dietmar said, "Quite OK for the price,clean and well-situated next to the skytrain. I cannot share the negative comments about the prostitution scene around as these girls are not aggressively offering themselves. So everyone can just pass them as any other people who stand around. The breakfast personal was very friendly, the reception clerks usually look a bit sullen (in contrast to other Thai people) but are helpful nevertheless."

Stephen said, "yet another stay at Nana Hotel, what can I say? Hotel is in a great position for access to all of bangkok as metro station 5 minutes walk away.rooms are ok but basic.Downside.... I had a knock at my door one evening of my stay and found cleaning staff demanding money because they had cleaned my room that day !!!"

JAMES said, "I have it does not disappoint me in anyway. The rooms are kept clean and the cleaning staff is top notch. The location is good because it is near the BTS station as well as various bars and other entertainment establishments."

Stephen said, "I didn t have a great experience here this time. I got the dreaded Room 171 which has a blacked-out window with a air-shaft on the otherside. Total darkness when the lights are off. Also there was a lot of unsavoury characters loitering around. Never again."

Ted said, "If you are just looking for a place that will allow you to take home a bar girl then this is the one, the rooms aren t horrible. If your not stay away from this place, you are better off staying anywhere else."

Tony said, "The hotel is a bit worn, but still good value for the money. The location is very good, with the BTS Nana close, only 5 minutes to walk. The staff are also very helpful and friendly. The only thing I missed was wireless internet access in the room, and a fitness area. breakfast was quite standard. The coffeshop is open 24 hours, which is fine if you want to have a late meal. All in all the hotel is worth a visit."

Dr. said, "Despite the fact that the hotel is very old, the people try their best to keep it clean. My room was very spacious and kept clean by the cleaning staff. Good cable TV program.I highy recommend this hotel to the average traveler. I would like to see them fix their AC. My AC keet me awake all night."

Patrick said, "Hotel a great value for the money. Has everything you need and the location is exceptional. Staff is a little aloof, but very competent. Rooms are clean and cleaning staff is A-1 rated. 25 steps from door to Nana Plaza Entertainment Center. Fantastic for mongers."

N. said, "The Nana hotel is a fine hotel despite the worn look of the interior. It s cheap and clean, the service is excellent and it s situated on a prime location in Bangkok with easy access to all the attractions. If you don t mind a 70 s look then Nana is a good option. I always take it."

Pablo said, "What can i say, staying at this hotel was definitely and experiance. The hotel itself is not very clean. The room had no view and had a stale smell to it. Big bed. Its basically a sex hotel. Because of the location, right opposite Nana Plaza where all the go-go bars are. Good disco in the hotel but full of working girls. Staff not very polite and misrable. Breakfast was crap. I wouldnt stay here again, but depends on what your looking for..if you know what i mean"

I was impressed about the way people was behaving.Luckily I was alone; but certainly I would never go with my girl friend. But I certainly recommend it for singles, looking for easy company...It s also located in the right spot of Bangkok! Just go out...you ll find your way.... Enjoy!"

William said, "Little worn but great for location for action at Nana Plaza. If single or travelling with group ok hotel. Not the best for sure as it is 2*. But for location great. Breakfast buffet ok. Service s ok with tour desk. Lots of action at disco on ground level. Pool ok. Rooms run down but ok for couple nights stay. Lots of action in area. You would stay here mainly because across street from Nana Plaza Pice is cheap"

J said, "Good rooms and Good service. Windows may not provide a view in some rooms, but interiors are nice. Nice breakfast served until 10 a.m.. Great location and no problem bringing guests as long as they have id. I have will gladly return."

Steven said, "I was surprised that such an inexpensive hotel was so well-run and pleasant. Location near skytrain is perfect for me. Breakfast was ample and included normal western-style food which i prefer in the a.m.Hot and cold running hookers were evident in hotel, in parking lot and nearby establishments, i definitely WOULD NOT recommend this hotel for a family or couple and there weren t many in evidence. They held my reservation for later in trip without problem. Pool is great early in day but no sun in mid-late afternoon."

Annika said, "Not a hotel for familys and couples. Many prostitutes outside and inside the hotel. The lobbby looked a bit like a geriatric center with elder lonesome men halfsleeping in the sofas with a little thaigirl beside them. Breakfast OK. Rooms a bit sunky."

Carina said, "Very central but not a place for family with children. A lot of prostitues in and around the hotel. Old gentlemen and very young girls and business going on.The rooms are a bit shabby and we had no view from our window.( Woman 50 year with one son 12 year )"

James said, "Great Hotel, great location, and using Sawadee.com print out payment receipt s checking in was a snap, with a very friendly hotel staff. Standard room, good TV, great housekeeping staff. The walls are not so sound proof, the only negative I have to report. Great world class pool on the third floor with great Jacuzzi. All Nana hotel staff were great ambassadors for their country. Hotel Taxi driver TI #12 was a great Taxi driver. Dollar for dollar I give the place a ten. Yes, you can pay a lot more and stay around the corner in the Marriot, but my preferences is for the Nana. Great breakfast and lunch buffet. Enjoy your stay. I am 55 yrs old and single."

Jerome said, "The rooms in the hotel are pretty run down. The air conditioner in my room leaked into my closet and onto the floor. The hotel did change my room.My room had a great view of a concrete wall which was not what I expected. I will not preferentially book this hotel in the future."

Gary said, "Nana Hotel is right in the middle of the night life action in Bankok.Close to Sky Train station for easy cheap access around the city.Rooms are clean and well serviced.Staff are polite, helpful and have a good command of English.I would stay there again!"
