Matt said, "Usual standard - nothing special, nothing bad. Booked anothr 2 nights via Res24 but they said the rooms were all booked so had to upgrade to DeLuxe. That means single beds, but they didn t charge for my overnight visitor; also biggre shelf in bathroom and more storm water comes in thru the light fittings in monsoon conditions. Had to move me next door before I got electrocuted / flooded out..."

Ashutosh said, "Manohra is a hotel centrally & conveniently located.Taxi drivers are well aware of the hotel. River ferry n sky train is 15 min walk. Patpong is close as well. Front desk staff not well behaved & not so friendly.Poor understanding of English by front office. Room was clean butsmall.Enjoyed well spread breakfast. Pool is small.room. Room service was average.I feel cost wise this is no cheaper hotel. Would recomend others if they want to compromise on service."

Chan said, "The loction is quite well. Although it is far away from train station, it only takes short time to many main travelling places by taxi. Cannot request more with this price."

Nicholas 2007-12-22 to 24 and said, "Excellent hotel for the budget conscious traveller. I had a room away from the expressway and was not worried by noise. The hotel is centrally located, with easy access to skytrain and the river ferry system. Meter taxis are easy to get and drivers know where the hotel is, no matter where you catch them from. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

Candra said, "The hotel relatively near to the heart of Bangkok (Silom area), and also near to the river where I can take a boat to some interesting spots (Wat Po, Wat Arun and also to Khaosan area). Friendly staffs were very helpful. Btw, the remote control on my room didn t run."

Delbourg said, "L hotel Manohra est de plus en plus bruyant,tout d abord le bruit de la circulation qui est insuportable, pas de double vitrage.En plus on entend tout ce qui ce passe dans les couloirs, impossible de vraiment dormir avant une heure du matin, la porte laisse passer le bruit et l entrée fait chambre d écho.il faut ajouter que si l on veut se conecter à internet a la reception le tarif est quatre plus cher que partout ailleurs."

Anthony said, "The hotel is situated only a 3 min Tuk Tuk ride away from Patpong nightlife. Good value for money (BHT900 per night) including breakfast. The room was a little old and need of some form of renovation, but for the cost involved I enjoyed a peaceful and above all friendly stay."

Kishore said, "It is a decent hotel though old, breakfast spread could be improved, but the advantage to the traveller from India is that ther are a lot of small indian restaurants close by."

CLEMENT said, "I STRONGLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. ROOM IS SMALL WITH COCKCROACH. SMALL/SHALLOW SWIMMING POOL AND WORST OF ALL, GYM ROOM IS EQUIPPED ONLY FEW MISERABLE UN-USED GYM EQUIPMENTS. HOTEL POLICY DOES NOT ALLOW GUEST AND I WAS CHARGED 500 BAHT FOR MY LOCAL THAI FRIEND JUST FOR 2HRS STAY IN MY ROOM. I AM NOT FURIOUS WITH THE $$ RATHER MY THAI FRIEND WAS ANGRY WITH SUCH POLICY AS HE HAS NOT EVEN STAY-OVERNIGHT."

Miss. said, "It is a neat hotel and the location is quite convenient about 10 min walking from Patpong, 15 from Sala Daeng skytrain terminal. Nice lobby and entrance with friendly and helpful staff. Our standard twin room and the bathroom was a little small and the shower and the taps were a little old but neat and clean. We were having a slight trouble with the hot water system but was fixed the next day. The pool was a little dissapointing as it is quite small and shallow, but the seating areas next to the pool and the roof terrace are nice. Breakfast was not bad. Overall definitely a good hotel with good location to check in to especially for a budget traveller."

Katrin said, "We chose the Manohra because my parents are regular guests for many years. It s centrally located (near Silom Rd) and you can get to anywhere in Bangkok from this point.The main hall is promising. When we got to the 3rd floor we found a gloomy hall with a very old carpet. The room was clean and functional. The bathroom needed some renovation. In the evening though we found some cockroaches on our table which made us feel uncomfy. We told the staff to get rid of them, but it didn t help. They apologized for the inconveniences by giving us a fruit plate. Anyway, we changed rooms the other day and had no more problems.The staff is extremely polite and helpful and the breakfast was nice, too.All in all, I would recommend the Manohra. Just try to make sure you get a room on the 4th floor- they are said to be better than the others."

U check with somebody else Even during breakfast is like they are doing you a favour and you are troubling them.Having said that i liked the location of the hotel because it was great for family stay... the room was ok, sheets were clean and bathroom was ok"

George said, "Satisfied in all aspects; good quality room with window, not noisy if you ask for a room away from the freeway, close to Patpong 15 min if u walk, 40 baht by took took (recommended) or you can just catch a bus. Overall comments good value for money in terms of the quality you get and the vicinity to Patpong."

Charles said, "The Manohra is rather shabby-gentile, but my room was perfectly adequate and quite economical. While the facilities and services are simple, the reception staff and concierge were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers pleasant buffets for breakfast and lunch at a reasonable price, and the roof garden and arbored entranceway are attractive. Right downtown and close to the action , it is a good choice for budget travellers. It was full of young Japanese on a college group tour during my visit. I will certainly be staying at the Manohra again when I return to Bangkok."

Peter said, "Bangkok is Bangkok and Hotel Manorha -pronounced Manolaa by thais- is a Bangkok Hotel. A little worn out, some noise at night, traffic etc. That said it is a affordable place, but be sure to reserve the side away from the freeway, and if possible the rooms on the upper floors. Staff is nice and helpful, but the hotel should do a little talking to the staff at the Taxiboot right outside. They pushed a bit on organized tours, untill I had to in Thai explain that they had to stop this hagling allthe time. We ordered two Taxis from the boot and made it clear that we would only accept meter fare . Nonetheless we had to discuss with both the drivers and the doormen. That said the hotel is ok and good value for the money, and we would stay there again"

Alex said, "Good Value for Money, a basic hotel well located with friendly staff. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice. Looked after our main baggage while we travelled for 4 days, this service was free of charge.Would recommend if you want a good basic base in Bangkok."

Sherry said, "I would not recommend this hotel as the photo s are not representative of the actual rooms. The beds were clean however we did see numerous bugs. The bathroom had limited towels and toilet paper and the room was dark and dingy. The breakfast buffet was okay and although the staff was friendly, be cautious of the concierge at the front door. They are quiet aggresive at setting you up on special tours which I m sure they get a hefty kick back. For the price, spend an extra $20 and get a nice hotel for the night."
