Juliette said, "Excellent hôtel, idéalement pas très loin du skytrain, personnel serviable et courtois, déco tendance et moderne. Propre, calme Super!"
John said, "The Staff at the Luxx were so helpful, courteous and efficent and spoke English well. We couldn t speak more highly of them. Location of the hotel was good, 10 min walk to skytrain and Selom Road just around the corner. Compact Double room comfortable, firm bed no backache.Delicious scrambled eggs. Breakfast served in room. No view from Hotel and no lift but the rest all good. ards of accomodation."
Kerrie said, "Nice rooms, just as what you ll see from their websites. The beds were abit hard though. And its not entirely sound-proofed from the small road outside so you ll hear the occassional motor vehicles zoom by. We wanted to book a compact S, but was offered the compact L instead cause it was fully booked. But looking back at the website, I just realised we got upgraded to a studio instead! Nice bathtub and the walls can be opened too. But i had trouble closing it back! There were gaps in between so I felt kinda cold while showering.Walkable distance (15-20mins)to the river pier. The breakfast was good and on time! And they didn t rush us to check out, by the time we checked out, it was around 130pm. I also liked the fact that we could borrow magazines, travel guides and DVDs from the lobby area.Overall a very nice place to stay!"
Allen said, "This was my first time in Bangkok and the Luxx was my first hotel there. I really came to like it after I had adjusted a bit. One of the best parts of this little boutique hotel is their breakfasts. Nice coffee and pastries and eggs. Do be warned that this hotel has no elevator. They will carry up your bags for you, but it would not be a good place for someone who has trouble with stairs. The rooms are cute and the bed nice. The bathtub being a wooden cask is better in theory than in practice. I liked the intimate feel of the place. You quickly get to know the front desk people. No big corporate feeling here. If you want everything perfect, this may not be the place for you but for me, I think they do a good job and I liked the personal feel to the place. It is half a block off Silom Road, which is a good location. You are about three blocks from the skytrain which is very helpful. You can walk down Silom to the river which takes about 20 to 30 min. There are usually cabs all over the place too. My suggestion with respect to cabs is make sure they agree to turn on their meter before you get in, otherwise you may find yourself in negotiations for the fair to your destination. The good part is that even if you are overcharged, it will probably mean you paid something like $3 US extra. In short, do relax and enjoy. I would definitely stay at the Luxx again."
Samuel said, "Sweet little modern place with great service. The folks running the front desk were so helpful and kind. They let us check out at 2pm our last day and even let us into an unused room later that night to shower before we jumped on our plane to come back home. It is very small and quiet with no outdoor space to speak of, but it was a nice place to escape from the sweaty streets of Bangkok. It s about 5-10 minute walk to the skytrain which was fine. Great place for the money imo!"
Seema said, "This was a great boutique hotel in a great location of Bangkok. The room was a bit small, but that did not matter since it was so nice and ultra modern. The bed was great, the bathroom was very swanky and the place was very clean. The staff was very nice as well. I would stay here again if I return to Bangkok. I think next time I may even upgrade to one of the larger rooms. This hotel was like a miniature version of the swanky W Hotel chain that are in the USA and other world class cities. Very nice place."
Michael said, "Excellent hotel. Was upgraded to top floor suite for no additional cost. Full American breakfast with more than enough food was served in-room every morning. Staff were all-around excellent and courteous. The room was impeccably clean and had modern Thai styling. Great location on a quiet street right off busy Silom and a few minutes walk from the nearest SkyTrain station and the nightlife of Patpong."
Marco said, "Decent Hotel just off the Silom Road, but hardly any taxidriver knows the road...The hotelstaff was very friendly and complimentary upgraded us to a studio room on the top floor. Breakfast in Bed was great and tasty! This is definitely a top hotel after a long flight from wherever you come!"
Zhang said, "It s a very lovely boutique hotel. You can feel its modern and cozy style immediately when you just see it. The room I booked is not big but enough for everything, and bed is very comfortable (I like hard mattress). They also provide wireless internet access in the building, and a DVD player in the room. I happened to brought a set of DVD with me and I I decided when and what to eat the night before. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I wanted to see the tanks and soldiers, and they wrote down the Thai for me:D Luxx is in a very quiet block, not far from central Silom, by walking, only 10 minutes. There is a flight booking agency just in neiborhood, and a nice massage in the next door. Opposite to Luxx accross the road, a lovely cafe called perk . The only problem is that luxx is very close to other buildings, and staying in the room for long, you will feel a bit confined. It shouldn t be a big problem because most won t stay too long in hotel for the trip."
Mark said, "Hotel looks very small from the outside but the rooms are amazing. They are huge with amazing wooden bathtub in bathrooom. Staff very helpful with everything. breakfast in bed at no extra cost was tasty."
PETER said, "I arrived at 9am and check in wasn t until 12, i asked if there was any chance if i could check in early(i was willing to pay) and not only did they oblige, i was upgraded to a suite (i booked a studio), and they let me check out late the next day with no extra charge. Not many hotels would let you do this. The service and freindliness of the staff were of typical high Thai standards. The room was great, talk about big!! I wish all hotel rooms were like this. The decor is modern with floor boards and wooden furniture, but the highlight is the wooden bath in a bathroom that opens up to the rest of the room. For a small hotel (13 rooms) they do a great job. The location is close to Silom Road (night markets, gay clubs/bars). I guess you could say this hotel is a scaled down version of the brilliant Metropolitan Hotel at half the price!! Well done Luxx. It s not perfect, but something unique in this great city. Oh, the breakfast in bed is a nice touch!"
Barbara said, "We arrived late in the evening and were given a Compact S, as we booked. Unfortunately, it was a very noisy room, a strange sound that went on and off like a machine (but it wasn t the ac). Very annoying. So the next morning we asked if there was any chance to change the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only free room was a Suite, as we found out later. Without hesitation we were given this room and didn t have to pay an extra charge. That s great service! The location is good, close to the Skytrain. The room is very clean and the furniture modern. We especially liked the bathroom with the wooden tub. The option of having breakfast in bed is absolutely fantastic!"
Tony said, "Excellent room that is clean and come very modern decor. We like the wooden bathtub which we think it bring it Luxx s uniqueness. Breakfast in room is also very special and I would strongly recommend this place to couples. Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful."
Winnie said, "The hotel staff are sincerley helpful. Room is relatively small but packed with everything needed. Love the trendy setting of the hotel and the high standard of cleanliness. Thumbs up for the option of having breakfast-in-bed ."
Janelle said, "We immensely enjoyed the simple yet elegant Luxx Hotel. Convientely located near Silom Rd. Staff was very helpful and even delivered breakfast to our room. The bathroom was especially modern and nice as well as the bed and linens."
Tham said, "i have no regret staying at luxx. on arrival me and my mom were a very friendly warm welcome. the staff definitely give an A+ to the hotel. i love the zen design concept of the hotel. the toilet was heaven, i feel like taking a bath and never come out. true beauty is all i can say to the design of the place. my only problem was climbing up the stair to the room. but tat was my problem, i think i requested room on the higher floor. i recommend this hotel to any lone traverler and couple who want to enjoy intimate time together."
Mr said, "This is certainly Bangkok s best kept secret. Intimate contemporary, situated on a nice quiet stretch, friendly and helpful staff, it is ideal for travellers wanting something different from the regular hotel scene. Highly recomended."
