We stayed on the 19th florr so the views were to die for. Breakfast was fine, good value with lots of choice to set you up for the day. revolving restaurent and bar novel, but very quiet when we stayed.Staff were helpful and quite knowledgable, concierge great with a map."

D.A. stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2006-08-20 and said, "SMALL BUT ADEQUATE BATHROOM, GOOD SIZE BEDROOM, VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. CLOSE TO THE RIVER PIER. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF, WE HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL AND WILL RECOMMEND THE HOTEL TO OTHERS."
Magda stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2006-08-15 and said, "Friendly staff, located in the heart of China town so a little way away from other hotels - don t choose this one if you don t like bustle! Short taxi ride to Grand Palace, river etc. Rooms comfortable but a little tired, bathrooms reasonably clean but getting near to needing a refit. Breakfast buffet fine. Small lounge bar on ground floor. Revolving restaurant on 25th floor a stunning view - food costs reflect the cost of the view. Pool is tiny - just a spa pool really but little used and a great place to spend an hour. Fitness centre also small but basic machines, jacussi and sauna. Hotel can arrange driver and car for day trips to Ayyutaya, floating market etc. Just around the corner are street markets , textiles, beads, etc."
Ryan stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2006-08-10 and said, "very nice hotel, nice surprise.clean rooms, great views, excellent location in chinatown , 5-10min ride to tourist locations.excellent revolving restaurant, with pool offering superb views of bangkok.good value for money."
robert stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2006-06-03 and said, "A good hotel and the service was very helpful. The breakfasts are excellent. The rooms, in particular the bathroom, are a bit tired and need some work. The pool closes too early and was not that clean."
Mike stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2006-04-09 and said, "Excellent hotel in everyway. Breakfast set you up for the day, rooms cleaned every day, location was ideal for sight seeing. Staff were friendly. Would use hotel again."
thailand stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2006-02-19 and said, "it is nice that the hotel is no smoking in every bar and restaurant. That is why it is so strange that that isn t so in the rooms. The room still smelt like sigarets. The hotel restaurant wat very good, that can also be said about the breakfast. The hotel is in the middle of chinatown, very crowded but nice. The only thing i wasn t to happy about was the massages. We had a lot of massages in thailand over the past three years and i have to say that my massage did not seem like a massage what so ever. I had a lot of pain afterwords and had to visit a doctor when i got home. so a little tip: for a massage-) do not stay in the hotel!!!"
Trygve stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2006-02-01 and said, "The hotel was located in Chinatown and such a little bit malplaced against the shopping streets and attractions in Bangkok. The hotel has probably for 10-15 years ago(or so) been a luxurious and nice hotel. It definitively need some renovation now, especially the rooms. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with our requests for transportation arrangements and Bangkok information."
Josef stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2006-01-13 and said, "The Grand China Princess Hotel is really a great hotel. Good situated in the heart of China Town. You go out from the hotel and you can have the colourfull experience of the real China Town. Very friendly staff everywhere in this hotel; from the reception till the 23rd floor with the really relaxing pool.I will come again to this hotel in Bangkok."
Greg stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2006-01-11 and said, "We stayed 3 nights and found the hotel itself generally very nice with very helpful and friendly staff. It was our 2nd time in Bangkok. The upstairs revolving restaurant is very good and well priced. The gym is well operated and has sufficient equipment however we found the pool area not so great and a bit of a let down in comparison to the website photos. On 3 levels of the hotel (levels 2-4) they have shopping areas which you may never find unless you explore. The hotel is in the middle of Chinatown where the markets and shopping are at the lower end of the shopping spectrum. It is about a 10 minute taxi or Tut Tut ride to good shopping and markets. Be careful with the Tut Tuts that you don t get ripped off. Always negotiate the fare before departure. They will have a fare for a direct route and a lesser fare if you go to one of their sponsors on the way. If you go to a sponsors place it will be a jeweler or taylors. The Tut Tut drivers receive fuel vouchers and commission for their efforts. Its just the way things are in Bangkok. Maybe go once but don t get sucked in a 2nd time as you will always end up at the same place and waste about an hour of your time. As a group of 5 we got the hotel to arrange a Van for our Airport transfers. The cost was between 1200 and 1400 baht each way. We were happy to pay and have all the hassles taken off us however be aware that if you arrange the transfer yourself it will be considerably less but maybe not worth the hassle.. Happy Holidays"
Lynne stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2006-01-06 and said, "I stayed at the GCP in 2004 with several friends and chose to return with others in 2006. The lobby has been improved, the showers still leak, car service very good, concierge not knowledgeable. Good location and value. I d go back again."
Sigurlaug stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2006-01-02 and said, "First impression was a disappointment. the Hotel is a bit worn out. The rooms, the corridors and the stairs up to the pool need a loving hand. The shower was in a bad shape and the bathrooms were in a rather poor condition. The service, on the other hand, was superb. Really friendly staff, and the location was fantastic. Bottom line was that we had a fine stay at the hotel."
Daphne stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-12-30 and said, "Nothing exceptional about this hotel. A bit old and with a small shopping area in the lobby that does not make you feel in a hotel anymore. Room isolation was soso, as we could hear the neighbours banging their doors and speaking in the corridors. Location is good. Think I would try another hotel next time."
Tim stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-12-25 and said, "Excellent value. Wonderfull staff, but they couldn t extend our stay for us (maybe low e-rates or overbooking). Rotating resaraunt is a must! Rooftop pool was unique, but not for swimming. Excercise room was good too. We loved it!"
Christine stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-12-21 and said, "We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful hotel. Large, spacious rooms, excellent service, especially in dining room. The hotel is an oasis in an area of teeming people, sidewalk congestion, tacky wares and gold stores."
Mr stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-12-11 and said, "Excellent location , but the hotel seemed to be in need of a refirb."
Lars stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-12-05 and said, "Nice room and very friendly staff. The travel agency in the hotel,Tourismo Asia, is recommended. We booked a trip to River Kwai Village. normal price 2800 baht per night. TA price was 2080! (Royal wing). Don t use taxi to the hotel we were stuck in traffic over an hour from grand palace. walk to the river instead. just 8 minutes walk. And NEVER!!! accept the offers from the friendly people otside the hotel who wants you to go somewhere and by the way stop by the TAT office. its a fake TAT office not Torism autority of Thailand. Fun to shop around the hotellots af small alleys with all you could expect from fake rolexes to guns.. and toys. At night the street outside the hotel is a long street restaurant. Great."
Matthias stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-12-02 and said, "Pleasent stay for two nights. The hotel is clean and the view from the big windows in the room fantastic. The rate offered via sawadee for the junior suite (4000.- baht) was higher than the rate offered at the desk (3500.- baht). So we paid to much. First they gave us a smoker room although we ordered non smoker."
Jason stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-11-24 and said, "great friendly service. great pool, with stunning views of the city. coldn t fault and good respite from the hectic pace of Chinatown"
Feenstra stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-09-03 and said, "Good clean rooms for the price. Bathroom not top of the bill, but it s definiately worth the money.Good service. We liked best the turning restaurant at the top where you can lounge and eat and enjoy the live music and the view over the Chao Prao River."
Michelle stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-09-02 and said, "Rooms were big, clean and well equipped although mine smelt a little damp. Pool was great as was the revolving restaurant on the top floor - great for those wet nights, you don t need to leave the hotel! Wonderful view of Bangkok from both. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Not a great deal of choice in places to eat nearby but the atmosphere made up for that and most places were less than 200 bahts away in a cab. Not a particularly upmarket area but full of character."
Kerstin stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-07-18 and said, "A good Hotel with good crew.Good location when you want to get out and visit (shopping) central Bangkok."
Olof stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-07-02 and said, "We were very pleased with the hotel, high standards (though we stayed in a suite). Lovely personel and a breakfast to die for."
Julia stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-06-15 and said, "We arrived at midnight and the staff was just as able and swift at acommodating our needs (extra beds)as I could have expected had it been daytime. The rooms were basic but clean, the exercise facilities well-maintained, and the breakfasts were quite good. The location in Chinatown is good for sightseeing and seemed quite safe as we explored on foot. Overall I would rate this highly for someone looking for comfortable acommodations at a reasonable price."
Cosentino stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-04-11 and said, "Very good hotel located in the center of China Town.To the reception they have been much kind, and although chek-in it was previewed for other timetable, it is made for hours 09.00. Thanks for your gentility."
Dean stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-03-17 and said, "Bangkok s Grand China Princess was an excellent location... quite central for some of the Markets and shrines... very exciting to be in the centre of China Town. The hotel was excellent, service was great... although taking a taxi from the hotel was not quite as good as staying at the Pan Pacific... seemed like the taxi drivers were ripping us off. When we stayed at the Pan Pacific the door people took down the taxi info and driver s id and gave us a copy so we could report any problems... and we never had problems with the taxi s from there. The pool area was quite nice, small but did the trick... no real change area... the spa on the third floor was excellent... the restaurant was okay, food was good service a bit slow and not overly attentive."
Ivo stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-02-25 and said, "Excellent value for money - perfect location close to historic center, amazing panoramatic view from all rooms, evening swimming in the small rooftop pool is unforgetable experience, the breakfast buffet is also not bad (it consists of western, thai and chinese meals) - I strongly recommend this hotel to everybody"
Lars stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-02-24 and said, "We were here last year and this was the fourth time we stayed at Grand China Princess. Very nice and good service. It´s fantastic with the pool on the roof ! We used it every day. And only some minutes to walk to the Chao Praya river. We will come back next year again."
Priscilla stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-02-22 and said, "I have stayed at this hotel several times and it never disappoints. The room is always spotlessly clean and well tended by the maids, the breakfast is more than adequate and I love the view from my room, always on a high floor. I tried the revolving restaurant on the 24th floor on this visit and the food was excellent and well priced and the view was outstanding. Great value hotel but the location is difficult for those whose main purpose in Bangkok is sightseeing."
Ida stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-01-26 and said, "nice hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms.I would stay here again next time I come to bangkok."
Ida stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2005-01-26 and said, "Really nice hotel in the middle of China town. Nice and friendly staff. The room was clean and tidy. We stayed there for one night and the next day we wasn t suppose to leave Bangkok until the evening, and even though the hotel was fully booked, they were friendly and helpfull and keept our luggage until the evening"
Iván stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2004-12-06 and said, "Awesome!!!"
Rachel stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2004-11-26 and said, "Fourth time in this hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable location in chinatown excellent. Confusion on arrival with booking told that it was cancelled. Staff were very unhelpful. Found alternative hotel which was not of same standard. Emailed this service and was very pleased with the response. Received call at hotel informing us to return to grand china it was their mistake and they covered costs incurred. Many thanks."
Patrick stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2004-11-06 and said, "Very nice room Hotel clean and comfortable"
MRS stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2004-10-20 and said, "Both of the two rooms me and my husbond tried on our stay at Grand China Princess Hotel was wery good.I will choose this hotel again next time we go to Thailand. And I think that will be in January 2006.Thank you for a pleasent stay."
Canardo stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2004-10-14 and said, "very fine hotel, although in the Chinatown-area, staff was very friendly and helpfull ... especially Wanvipa ... the loveliest girl we met in Thailand"
Mr. stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2004-09-03 and said, "The hotel is in a good location in Chinatown, close to the river (2 min walk) and within a short taxi ride to the Grand Palace, and has plenty of facilities and some helpful staff, although because of the lower number of foreign visitors to this part of town at times communication can be a little hard. The rooms were comfortable and aircon efficient enough, and the breakfast spread was plentiful and varied. We especially enjoyed the revolving restaurant/lounge and skypool for novelty factor and the gym and massage facilites add that little extra. Overall great value for money accomodation, for more luxurious hotels stay elsewhere in Bangkok."
Jonathan stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2004-08-11 and said, "Excellent facilities and location can t be bettered for the excitement and buzz of Chinatown. Bathrooms could have been very slightly cleaner and bigger but no problem. We stayed there again for a day or two on our return to Bangkok at end of August - got an upgrade to deluxe room and also (for extra cost) kept the room until 21.30 as we didn t need to go to airport until 22.00. Massage services (280 baht for 90 minutes!), good range of restaurants and coffee shops. All staff helpful in all ways."
Venus stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2004-04-16 and said, "Good services n very clean room."
Lars stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2004-02-18 and said, "This was the third time we stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel and we will come back again next year. Centrally located in the middle of Chinatown and near to the railwaystation. Breakfast is fantastic. Very polite and friendly english speaking staff. Clean and nice rooms. Reasonable prices. I have recomended the hotel to many friends. When we go to Bangkok again we will stay on Grand China Princess."
PJ stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on 2003-11-27 and said, "excellent hotel. Good hotel for starting your trip into Thailand. We will comeback."
F. stayed at Grand China Princess Hotel on and said, "great hotel directly in chinatown - a real expirence, far away of any tourism like the silom road or sukhumvit road hotels - real asia feeling any time"
