Lim stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-07-09 and said, "Not bad. Quite big if compare to local 5 star hotels. Very near to all Pratunam centre, Platinum Mall, Pantip Plaza and all the shopping stalls. Best part is the hotel is surrounded by WHOLESALE market where you can bargain and get good price on goods. The manager can conduct in quite good English which is very important. Service is not bad as well. If you wish to share by registering with 2 people s name but fit in 4 people, please do not do so as they are able to recognize you. I don t know how but...they just manage to recognize. =) Although the room is kinda creepy if it is facing the wall, but overall it is recommended. Thumbs up for them."
LOW stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-06-25 and said, "This hotel is very convenience if you want to go shopping, only 3 mins walk to the Platinum shopping centre. The room is not very clean and we even found some lices on our bed. Aircon is quite noises, Breakfest, every morning is the same very boring. water pressure very slow.."
Yip stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-06-11 and said, "Just need a bed and shower, for the room rate I cannot complain much. For the benefit of the people reading this review: the AC was noisy, bed was uncomfortable, breakfast was okay, service was prompt and with a smile. The hotel is situated in a small alley, not convenient if you like to walk around the hotel at night."
ABIGAIL stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-05-15 and said, "Sleeping area was ok however the faucets in the bathroom were leaking. They surprised us by charging us a broken ashtray, an ashtray that we did not even see in the room."
Chung stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-05-12 and said, "the hotel booking was very soon and officient it is downtown near siam i will come again"
CHENG stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-05-11 and said, "I would say this is value for money. The location of the hotel is great especially for shoppaholics with roadside stalls to high-end boutiques to choose from. Free breakfast buffet every morning, cable tv, personal bar fridge ensuite. The bed is rather hard though, as i suppose the mattresses are quite old. If you are not too particular about rooms and just need one to sleep in, First House is great!"
Anna stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-04-18 and said, "HORRIBLE HOTEL. Very old and dirty. Looks like hostel. Delux room very bad and old. Roted doors and carpet."
Peta stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-04-12 and said, "This hotel is located down a dodgy laneway and is scary at night. The rooms were very hot and a bit smelly. Breakfast wasn t very nice. Staff were friendly though."
Emma stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-03-15 and said, "It was not nice, they were building in the hotel, it was noisy and dirty, the breakfast wasTHE WORST I HAVE EVER HAD, I REALLY MEAN WORST! Good location, but there are nicer hotels around this area, I promise you.Dont stay here if you want to stay in a nice hotel. I DON´T RECOMEND IT"
Emma stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-03-15 and said, "The hotel is not nice, it is bad service, the breakfast was so bad that we didn´t eat there. It was dirty and they built there. It was good area for shopping"
Peh stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-03-09 and said, "Very near to Pratunam market. Ten minutes walk to the nearest BTS. Don t use the Hotel Taxi service, they over charged me when I get a Taxi to Airport. Strongly recommend the massage shop near to this Hotel. Hotel room looks old and smelly (from the old carpet). Toilet is old and simple.Breakfast ranked the lowest among all. The hotal staff are friendly and could communicate in English well. I may stay at the same Hotel again if thier hotel rate remain the same."
Richard stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-02-22 and said, "I found the room just aveerage. A very long walk to the BTS system, and the front desk personeel very cold, not helpful and somewhat rude. The bathroom wasn t throughly clean, hair in the bath tub, and around the toilet. In fact there was not toilet paper..I had to request it. The bellboy staff were always helpful whenI had a question, so I always went to them instead of the front desk...will not stay there again."
John stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-01-22 and said, "Okay hotel for the price! Great staff and the food in the restaurant is good. The breakfast is not the best but overall I was surprised what I got for the money! Quite near MBK, but take a taxi - don t walk."
Anthony stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2008-01-12 and said, "Hotel is very cheap, and great value for the price. As expected rooms are very basic and not the cleanest or in the best condition, but if all you need is a bed, air-con, and breakfast then it is perfect. The location is great for shopping as is right amongst the wholesale garment markets, close to electronic stores, and less than 10 minutes walk to the big new shopping centres and the sky train."
Agnes stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-12-28 and said, "room was ok! breakfast with fresh fruits everyday was nice!the hotel also offer a 1-hour thai massage for only 299baht. the massage lady was nice. internet was available for 100baht for 30 minutes (quite pricey)though front desk staff should learn more english and smile more often. other than that it was certainly a pleasant experience for the price we paid. would consider staying there again."
Knut stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-12-15 and said, "I stayed at First House Hotel 2nights in december 2007 together with my girlfriend. We where very unhappy about being given a room with no window and a bad smell in something they call the citywing, if you book a recomend you specify that you do not want to stay in the citywing because you also have to walk up some stairs a bit away from the elevator. The breakfeast was a joke, i think i was the most lousy breakfeast buffet i ever attended during my 7 years of traveling in Thailand, it was clear that most of the guests was non european/american but asians. Save ur money and eat outside the hotel. The staf was frindly but the houskeeping was very very noisy in the morning dispite that we had put the sign do not disturbe on the door and so had the 3 closest naibourgs to...I recomend that you try another hotel...We payed 950 bath for a standard roomm and im shure you will find better places to stay for that kind of money MCH Denmark"
Lou stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-11-09 and said, "Overall experience were good, staff helpful, good location, room was ok, we have clean sheets/towers daily. Breakfast was ok, I am not choosey. The flashing system and the renovation that is going on were the only problems that I faced."
Chow stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-11-02 and said, "The room is nice but the tv is too small when u watch on your bed.the tv screen very blur as the image keep jumping .and even the mineral water charge money too.(some hotel they provide 2mineral water that is free of charge everyday)the staff are rude as i arrive they whisper at each other and look at me laughing and talkin thai langauge that i do not understand.i think i will not stay there again."
mark stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-10-27 and said, "for the price paid, the hotel is of great value. i loved the airconditioning, the room gets cool real fast, the tv programs offer a good variety and the tub is deep and wide. the breakfast buffet is very good, it offered a good variety."
Jenny stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-10-13 and said, "Staying at First House Hotel is recommendable. The room is clean and the customer service at reception is excellent. the only unsatisfactory is that our room is on the 10th floor and the waterflow for shower is weak. The location is ideal for shopping and variety of foods available nearby. This was my second stay at First House Hotel. I m sure if I were to visit Bangkok, I shall come back to First Hotel."
MING-CHIH stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-10-10 and said, "Hotel is located in Lane (one way direction). it is not eady to find it.We arrived RD. Petchburi by Taxi and we walked to Hotel five min. The lane is small and dark; safety is important. There is one convenient store near hotel. Hotel is ok but the cable is not stable. We can t watch TV."
Bryan stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-10-01 and said, "Front desk staff - Friendly.Hotel is situated pretty remotely. To access this place via Taxi, just say Petchburi Soi 19. It is in the heart of the garment market, just opposite to Platinium Shopping Mall (10mins). Walking to Central World (Isetan/Zen) is about 15mins. There is no BTS nearby. Room is basic but there are small roaches at night. Hotel policy is 1000Bht for deposit for the room key, do not lose this receipt as you need it at the end of the stay to collect your deposit. Room rate and breakfast is ok if you need to stay very near to garment market. I would choose again only if there are no better option."
Cheryl stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-09-27 and said, "bad experience.on check in i recomfirm on my extra bed instead the frontdesk told me that they are not giving us the extra bed but a extra room side by side. Then was asked to pay 2000 baht for deposit for 2 rooms.i obeyed. Then at almost bout 11pm the front desk manager called and said there is some mistake on our bookings and asked us to leave to only one room immediately!!Of course we were not happy bout it and went down to the reception to find out. The manager was not friendly at all and all the front desk staff start to give us the cold looks for the rest of the 5 days stay there. When we ask for the other 1000baht deposit back the treatment was worst. Then the worst is that during check out they accused us of stealing a glass water from the room!!!! 50 baht was deducted from the deposit. It is not so much of the money but simply the wrong accusation. The front desk just replied.. You should check the room when you check in!!! This is not the first time me and my friends have been staying in a hotel, since when a hotel guest have to check on how many glasses and towels that are supposed to be in the room when check in????"
Yang stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-09-22 and said, "I will never go there again. the worst hotel I stayed in Bangkok. Let s say some good things first: 1. room not small; 2.shower water is ok.3.Except English many staff can speak Cantongness and Chinese, May be an advantage to Hongkong or China guests. Now Bad things: 1. Very old style hotel, lobby seems like guesthouse, room dark and smells, not at all like the picture show on internet. bed sheet seems clean but have wholes through which can see the dirty blanket, and dirst covers desk and other furnitures2. Terrible loud noise wake me up from before 6am and continuoed till after 9am. The door seems useless for noises. Endless guests passed by and talked loudly outside. even the night I stayed on KaoShan Road, I had a much quiet morning. 3. The hotel management seems suspesious on guests, require 1000B deposits for key, clothes horse is fixed to the wordrobe. bathroom sets are the smallest unit they can provide.Breakfast is just OK, but for such breakfast they are so keen on the coupon, will not give you the coupon the night before, you must take it in the morning from the reception on the first floor and then go to restaurant on 2nd floor.4. Poor surroundings. you ll be targets to many taxi/tutu drivers in this area. No taxi is willing to use meter. Not so near to the BTS and shopping centres as I thought, we walked to the nearest shopping place Big C and finally take taxi back. 45B as the hotel is in the single way soi, few taxi driver know it. Don t mix it with First Hotel, that one is very near and looks much better, but we haven t go inside."
stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-09-11 and said, "Pratunam was not good place for me to stay for a week, too crowded and too much polution...The image on the web was far from the real. Just only enough for the price, sorry."
Shelia stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-09-11 and said, "Excellent location, opposite is money changer and they offer really good rates. Next to the hotel is a shortcut to Pratunam market and nearby there is a 7-Eleven. Going everywhere is really convenient. Although there is no view from my room, fortunately the room given to me is clean. The breakfast is ok, not much variety and its almost the same everyday, other than this everything is acceptable. I will stay in this hotel again for my next trip."
Abhishek stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-09-06 and said, "This is like my home... I luv staying here... As i cum 2bkk for shopping i have to carry lots of bags... Even on request i was not allowed a room on 2nd or 3rd floor. I was allotted a room on 7th fllor that to on the back wing... To go to my room i had to change 3lifts each time... It was very irritating coz there were lots of shopping bags 2 carry... Rest all good..."
KK stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-08-05 and said, "I stayed in City Wing. The room was fine with me for the price. I enjoyed Thai noodles for breakfast. The staff was friendly. More than else, the accessibility to Panthip Plaza, Pratunam markent and Center World Plaza was the best for me. One complaint goes to the noise of air-conditinors from outside. It never stopped all though the night, which made me awake a couple of times and feel a little tired."
Mavis stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-08-02 and said, "The hotel is just nice for the price that I have paid. The staff are friendly. Room is clean. No tiny insects found. Bath tub is small but still ok for me. One thing I want to point out is the breakfast is limited choice and repeated the same dishes everyday. Damn boring for eating the same thing 5 days continuosly. The location is good, pratunam market is just behind the hotel. I think I will stay in this hotel again when I go to Bangkok again."
Rob stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-07-21 and said, "Location is ok, close to the Bajoke tower and good for shopping . Air quality in the area feels not ok, a lot of traffic. Reception could be more friendly and interested in guests. Rooms are clean but they could use some more lightening."
Abhishek stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-06-22 and said, "Hotel was very good... But dint have keetle... All the hotels are having it but first house dosent has it. Rest all was fantastic. This would be my permanent destination to stay"
Mary stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-03-13 and said, "Very old smell hotel. Very noisy air-con. Not friendly when we checked-in. The breakfirst and location are just ok. Will never be this hotel again!"
Mr. stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-03-08 and said, "the hotel location is in the center of pathunwan market, when we arrive was around 9.00 in the morning and the lady in reception was kindly to give us a room without waiting untill 12.00, but after a bad surprise with a room so small and dirty without any elettric connect for charge telephone or camera.the hotel is not near a sky train e very difficult to arrive with taxiso for me never go back to this hotel"
Magnus stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-03-06 and said, "Ok price I guess, good location, and decent rooms... Relatively poor breakfeast but still OK. Feeds the hunger ;)We stayed at three different occations in a mini-deluxe room , which was spacious even though it was a bit dark. By misstake we were at one point assigned the cheaper version, which was not at all nice... if you don t like smoking rooms! Keep a good eye on your deposit receipt!"
Ragnhild stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-02-16 and said, "The room was very dark, but the hotel is cheep, so for that price it is okay."
Zuraida stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-01-18 and said, "It s a very convinient place to stay. Friendly staff with very simple furnitures. A few things that i think they can improved on is to provide electric kettle in the room itself and add more power supply plug. The best part about this hotel is its just 3-5 minutes walk from Pratunam Market, Pantip Plaza and Platinum Mall. You can easily find metered taxi and tuk-tuk at in front of the hotel. BTS Ratchatewi is only 10 minutes walk from the hotel. And for moslems, you can esily get Halal food in that area."
Zetmun stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2007-01-12 and said, "This hotel has no sense of tolerence. I know some hotels in Thailand would charge extra money for bringing in unregistered guest to their room. That is fine for me if the guest want to overnight with me. But i was forced to pay 300 bath imediately as i want my girlfriend to help me to pick up things in my room. I told the bellboy whose spoted us that my girlfriend only want to help me up to pick up things in my room and we will be going down not less 20mins. But the bellboy still forces us to pay. and we went down few minutes later which i think only about 15mins we were in the room. what kind of Thai is that?? They should think far if they really want to make money. A satisfied customer will always come back to places that provide good services. And now i don t think i want to stay with them again. I would suggest Star Inn hotel in Sukhumvit soi 7/1 if u really want cheap but nice and friendly staff."
Naresh stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2006-12-28 and said, "Very good hotel for the price. Second best location (after bangkok city inn ). clean room, each room has a refrigerator.. towel, shower cap , shampoo and soaps provided in the rest room everyday.Decent breakfast spread everyday (included in the hotel room rate). good service by hotel staff. (only problem was a wierd odour in the room but i guess thats a problem in every part of bangkok.. but not much of a drawback.. ) ..Overall extremely satisfied with the hotel. would stay there agin for sure!"
Catherine stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2006-11-16 and said, "We stayed in a standard room for three nights. The room was spacious and the bathroom a good size, clean and tidy. Was what I expected for the price I was paying, but is quite dark in the rooms. The buffet breakfast had a lot on offer which was great. The sky train was between 5 - 10 minute walk and location was right in the middle of Petchburi and near Siam Square. Shopping Malls of all types in all directions. There is a great little restaurant along the Soi called The Place and worth seeking out. It pays to walk to the end of the Soi to Petchburi Rd to hail a taxi or expect to pay more."
Cheong stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2006-09-16 and said, "Breakfast is Ok. Near to wholesale market. The hotel front desk assistant treating rude to customer. 80% of them dont know how to communicate using English. The bed sheet is dirty, my body very itchy & I cant sleep all the night. THe refregretor very noisy every 10 minute it will be shake. The bed also noisy. Budget hotel."
Lim stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2006-09-03 and said, "Overall, the hotel is clean, though old and the staff are very friendly. But, one thing that dissapoint me, is that I left my deposit receipt in the hotel room, it was not there after that. During checked out, i told the receptionist that I have lost the receipt, and one of them were rude. Even it was my mistake of losing the receipt, i bet there do have another copy for record, need not be rude. Anyway, I do enjoy my stay, besides the air-cond are too cold. May consider to return, but that doesn t mean I dont mind dealing with rude people!!!"
Janis stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2006-07-30 and said, "Budget Hotel-good for the price you pay.Clean beds and room tho the room is a bit dark and also they could do with some complimentary drinking water. Location is excellent right next to the garment wholesale market."
Muhammad stayed at First House Hotel Bangkok on 2006-07-07 and said, "For S$37 per night, it was worth every cent that I paid for. Location is quite good, although about a 50-metre walk to the main street. Only about a 5-min walk to Pratunam and Pentium wholesale mall. It makes up for the distance to MBK and Patpong, which takes about 15 min to reach by taxi (subject to traffic conditions). The room and toilet are both really clean and everything was in great working condition. B/F could ve been better but good enough. My only grouse is that no late check-out was allowed on the last day even though I checked-in late at about 11pm on the first night and stayed for 5 nights. But overall, a pleasant experience for a budget hotel."
