klaus stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2008-06-27 and said, "good for the price and close to the shopping! room was as shown on the pictures, no problems. there is a nice night market for good and cheap authentic eating near the hotel."
Stephen stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2008-05-09 and said, "As always the hotel was on the ball with no problems"
Jeremiah stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2008-03-27 and said, "my only comment was that we were booked for a superior double bed room. when we arrived it was a de luxe twin room. we informed the room attendant and he informed us that the bed at least will be changed the following day. when we arrived in the evening the following day the bed hasnt been changed, we called the front desk. we were told to be called back to update us. almost an hour passed, i called again and was put on hold. i got tired and slept. the following day before heading out i told the attendant the day we got in na dhe ust smiled. then we got back in the afternoon and told the front dest about it he told us to anonther room. its just frustrating to get it the day before you leave, not getting what you re supposed to when you re in a tight schedule."
Wilhelm stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2008-03-24 and said, "The staff are really nice and helpful. I had a deluxe room which was quite big and clean, only the sheet are a bit old. Soi Phayanark is very noisy because of the thousands of Tuk tuks cruising there. It s full of local shops and workshops and at night countless small and very basic restaurants are set up on the street. It s a 10 minute walk to Ratchathewi Sky Train Station"
Bella stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2007-11-16 and said, "The staff there are friendly and helpful."
stephen stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2007-09-09 and said, "Value for money hotel, the staff are very friendly and are more than happy to help anytime. The manager is first class in everything he does.I will definately stay here again"
Evgeniya stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2007-07-06 and said, "Good hotel, good location (just 15 minutes walking to MBK, 25 to Siam Paragon), very friendly and helpful staff, quite good breakfast. One minus - old and dirty bed-clothes. Generally, good value for such money."
Daniel stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2007-06-18 and said, "Hotel was nice, however we paid for extra bed and did not recieve it. When i asked about a refund i was told by the receptionist i would get it at check out, when i checked out i was then told no you must contact your agency For the price hotel is not worth it and is situated down a very dark alley way from the BTS station."
LAVAUZELLE stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2007-04-18 and said, ""
Charles stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2007-04-04 and said, "OVERALL A VERY GOOD HOTEL. ROOM NEEDS A LITTLE ATTENTION. ONLY 1 LIGHT WORKED AND WAS NOT WAS NOT COMPLETELY MADE READY FOR NEW GUEST. STAFF VERY COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY."
Kayae stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2007-04-02 and said, "The room was not bad at all, though, there was a slight problem with the slide door of the balcony, we asked for room change, I found out that they don’t provide standard rooms there, the room next door should have the same specification as our first room, though no bath tub was there! We refused and we saw almost 4 rooms, then we decided to stay back at the first room but demanded for the slide door to be fixed into position, they did after 30 minutes. At 1200 Baht per night is not bad after all, they provide a breakfast buffet, though no wide selection of food for guests, they serve the break fast from 6:AM till 10:00AM. The room was air-conditioned. No perfect view of the city since it has only 4 floors, if you would like to see some buildings, try to ask for room at the 4th floor facing the city and not facing the back yard or house walls! As they do have such rooms! The hotel staff is friendly; I would recommend the hotel for those who are looking for semi budget hotel, yet with decent service. But not for those who are too fussing about where are they staying. One thing to note, the hotel location is at the end of a narrow road that leads at one of its end to BTS sky train. It will take you average of 5 to 10minutes walking to reach that end or back to the hotel, depends on your walking speed."
Jeslynn stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2007-03-17 and said, "small and nice cosy hotel. very clean indeed. however, location is not the best because you have to walk into a long small lane to get to the hotel. hotel team treats you like family. chat with you and provide many helpful information. coridoors are decorated very nicely! breakfast is edible but very small variety. overall, 4/5 stars!"
Frendy stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2007-01-27 and said, "their location is not bad,but you must know that how to go,all staff are so nice and friendly, breakfast for me is OK!(is simple choices). The room is 2/F better than 3rd or 4 th floor,so dark and old.(not feel good)"
Fiona stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-12-27 and said, "Initially we booked for 2 deluxe connecting rooms, but we were given double bed room instead. We are very dissapointed. And the room smells amoniak from urine. The bath room is dirty. After arguing with the hotel staff (in broken english), we were just freak out. We have no choice to stay as we arrived late midnight. After wake up in the morning, we found pant s belt was almost broken. The hole seems animal s bite. Guess probably big rat. Total experience...disgusting."
Jasper stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-11-15 and said, "It s a nice and clean hotel with complimentry breakfast. Breakfast wise, so so. What I can say is value for money. Distant from the hotel to the nearest BTS is about 10mins walk. I would definitly be back again."
Bjorn stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-08-18 and said, "Great value for money! Location is not perfect, but the beds are comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is asian style, so those of you looking for dairy (milk, yoghurt, cheese etc) may stay hungry despite the buffet-style eat-as-much-as-you-want. They offered to store our things for the week we were going to be out of Bangkok, which was very useful. The staff helped us with tips about moving around in Bangkok, and were very sincere about what to avoid (the abundant scammers, for example taxi, tuk-tuks etc)."
Shuen stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-08-17 and said, "We had a warm welcome from them! The staff at the lobby also give a detail information on how to get around bangkok immediately when we arrive. The manager and staff there is very helpful and friendly. The room and their breakfast is reasonable for the price we pay for. breakfast variety not a lot compare to other hotel but they do make the effort to change it everyday! Transport can be arrange from the hotel to the airport that save us a lot of trouble!!Will recommend to other to stay there!!"
Beltrami stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-08-17 and said, "small but beautiful...the room was stinky of smoking but the hotel is no-smoking! For every hour late in check out they charge 100 baht but you can check out and leave your bags in the hall...Thai people in the surroundings was a little bit strange, they looked at me badly and for the first time I didn t feel safe in Thailand! Next time I will go to Asia hotel, 300 m far and on the main road!"
Audrey stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-08-11 and said, "Room they gave me was dark, needs a good paint job. Bed was soft and sinking. Wouldn t reccomend it if you like a nice room."
Graham stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-08-10 and said, "The hotel staff were generally miserable and unfriendly, only the night-shift porter smiled. The public areas appear not to be air-conditioned as the corridors and lifts were like ovens. The hotel smells bad, the food is inedible and we experienced a number of power failures. The location is not too bad except that no taxi drivers seem to have heard of the hotel or Soi Payanard. The hotel provides a map for its guests, but it became obvious that Bangkok taxi drivers do not know how to read maps. However, if one sticks to the Skytrain, that problem can be avoided.I would not recommend this hotel."
Marko stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-08-02 and said, "Very good and clean hotel with friendly staff. Room service is expensive but then again you dont have to use it. I will definatly go there again"
Graham stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-06-29 and said, "very helpful in hotel , clean room ,comfortable large bed. Very good value"
Petr stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-06-25 and said, "Very nice and very helpful people at hotel Diamond City made our stay very comfortable. They arranged a lot of things for us and were always helpful, smiling and efficient. It is located central, 10 min. walk from MBK, so there is some traffic. But hotel area is not too close to the main roads, it is not too noisy there. We spent actually 3 nights at the hotel. Rooms are clean and with aircondition. The only minus i would mention is the view from the window, not very appealing for eyes. And also breakfast, where the only fresh fruit is the watermelon (why don t you nice people at Diamond don t serve some more wonderful fresh thai fruits?)We were satisfied with our stay at the hotel and would recommend it. Clean rooms with good price and nice people."
Lee stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-05-26 and said, "Location:- 7 min. walk from Skytrain station- Street from station to hotel is not so nice but ok.- In close vicinity to Bangkok s shopping malls (Siam Center, Paragon, MBK, Tokyu, etc.)Hotel:- Very friendly personnel- Good services (newspaper for free, plate of fruits when you go to sleep, affordable internet facilitites, Big TV in breakfast area, etc.)- Breakfast is ok but don t expect too much- Rooms are ok (clean) and we even had a balcony; only AC was much too loud; bathroom will be slightly flooded after shower but all cheaper hotels in Bangkok are like that. Conclusion: If you are searching for a cheap hotel with kind personnel and good service which is close to a skytrain station and shopping opportunities then take it. Not recommendable for people who are picky with hotel rooms and who like to experience the hotel and its facilities rather than the city."
Ley stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-04-21 and said, "We booked 4 double rooms here and stayed for a night. The rooms are very spacious and clean enough. Staff are friendly and taxis are always accessible from the hotel. Nearby Hualamphong Train Station and Grand Palace, cost us only about 50 baht per taxi. It s about 5 mins walk behind Asia Hotel and Ratchathewi is the nearest BTS skytrain station. Recommended."
Daisy stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2006-01-13 and said, "Okay for the money."
Winnie stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-12-23 and said, "The room was very spacious and clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. :D Not to mention the cheap rate of course. However, the free breakfast provided had the same course everyday, so if you re staying for more days, you might not want to have their breakfast after about 2 to 3 days or so."
Lim stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-12-20 and said, "A cosy hotel with friendly staff. Room is better than what I thought, there are no great facilities but this is worth the money that you spent. I would highly recommend this hotel as it is within walking distance to the various shopping malls in Bankgok."
Lennart stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-12-02 and said, "Very very good hotel, small, but the service and the staff is perfect and very kind, next time we arrive to Bangkok we will stay at Diamond City"
Ezza stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-09-10 and said, "Hotel are quite good, people at the lobby and reservation are very kindly and friendly. They are willing to help, but in the room there is no hot water for drinking tea/coffee, taxi don t like to go on that road, apparently taxi will just drop us at ASIA HOTEL, everyday breakfast was just the same."
Teng stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-08-05 and said, "The hotel wasn t really that well-equip. Many of the rooms had lights not working & the bathroom will flood when we bath. However the hotel staff service provided was excellant! They provide were very polite & treat all our room service & equiries with patience. They are really very helpful."
PJ stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-08-04 and said, "10 minutes walking distance to BTS, 20 minutes walking distance to MBK. Hotel is clean and spacious but furnitures and curtains are quite old. Breakfast menu is pretty much the same everyday. Has massage and internet services. Has cable TV, bathtub, fresh towel everyday, hot water and coffe mix. Easy to get taxi/tul-tuk from hotel. Good value for money."
CJ stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-07-28 and said, "Decent Hotel. Breakfast below average and very limited. Service average, rooms spacious and clean, except carpets - clean but look rather dirty. Furniture and furnishings old and worn out. Near 7/11 shops, 10 min walk to skytrain. Not all cabbies know the place. 30 min walk to MBK."
Joyce stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-07-10 and said, "The hotel has just been renovated. Conveniently located with easy access to Tuk Tuks and Taxis. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable for the price we pay! The toilet tends to flood after your shower.Friendly staff. Bng your own adaptors (as they tend to run out pretty quickly). Definitely good value for money!"
Ueli stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-07-09 and said, "Good value for price! Location three minutes walk behind Hotel Asia is very convenient to reach skytrain."
Goh stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-07-08 and said, "Hotel room is nice. The corridor decor is nice too. However, toilet bathtub was leaking and toilet always wet. Also they only gave 2 towels for a triple room and we had to ask for extra towels everyday to remind them. Staff was friendly and helpful though. Breakfast was limited in selection but quite nice to eat. Can consider to stay if you want somewhere cheap and relatively near to MBK."
Sammy stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-07-01 and said, "The hotel is under renovations & alternations to better accomodate her customers, but she is clean & in quiet atmosphere where you really can relax."
Fireball stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-06-02 and said, "Nice and friendly staff. Room is clean and spacious. Value for money. The only setback is walking distance to main road & difficult to get taxi."
Rinda stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-05-27 and said, "I brought a group of friends of 5 who are first timer to Bangkok. I chose Diamond City because it is much quiet than those hotels location at the main road.It is very near market, very convenience and 5-10 mins walking distance to shopping areas. You can tried their morning breakfast in the market for special food, its cheap..This hotel is very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful.. The hotel so much affordable...I will soon be there again..:-)"
Miss stayed at Diamond City Hotel on 2005-05-18 and said, "good service provided despite the small size of the hotel. staff there are pleasant and are always willing to help regardless of the time. staff operates 24hrs and always have a smile on their faces."
