HUNG stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2008-03-28 and said, "i booked in studio room at corner wing. tiny room but clean and tidy. buffet brkfst okay. pool pretty small you may not interested in. location is good 15 mins walk to bts station / Emporium Shopping Centre or compliementary shuttle by hotel. many spa and massage shops along the road."
VTE stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2008-03-15 and said, "Beautiful hotel; very well done and lovely space to escape in Bangkok. But we won t be going back as they don t provide free wireless internet - a must for any hotel for us. They advertise that wireless is available, they just don t mention the absurd price! for the price of the hotel room, it s ridiculous not to provide it free, especially as wireless means they don t have to provide the computers equipment. For the rest, it s a great hotel."
Karine stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2008-03-02 and said, "Chambre immense si vous prenez la supérior room. Piscine trés sympa sur le toit. Pour le prix sawadee, trés bonne option, les prix doublent au comptoir..."
Lasse stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2007-12-04 and said, "Excellent hotel with a lovely staff. Really caring about your needs. Clean and good standard. Breakfast was superb. I normally am living in hotels world wide in my profession so I have references. Best recommendations."
KIM stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2007-10-27 and said, "An excellent hotel. The room, service and the ambience combine provides the perform combination of a very niche boutique hotel. The facilities such as the pool and the gym nicely tuck on the ninth floor and it is a nice place to spend to spent a day lazing around. The vicinity is cosy with amenities around. Apart from its location and the need to survive Sukhumvit Road it was an pleasant stay."
Noraini stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2007-10-11 and said, "It was a nice hotel. Service was good. Breakfast was pretty much standard and after a few days of the same thing, we got bored of it. We stayed at the corner wing which is actually not within the main complex itself so it was tiresome to go and use any facilities within the main building. The location of the hotel is very convenient. Although it is about a 15 to 20 min walk from the skytrain station, you could always hop onto a motor-sai and the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service (one way only though). Overall, worth the money."
Mr stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2007-05-12 and said, "Very nice hotel, beautiful and spacious deluxe room. Excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Free shuttle service to take you to Skytrain Station. Would stay in this hotel again when in Bangkok."
Danielle stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2007-04-07 and said, "wonderful in every way - a true oasis in hot and steamy Bangkok!"
Michiel stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2007-03-17 and said, "This hotel is not really on a five star level. Rooms a bit outdated (especially the deluxe rooms). Staff friendly but not very professional. Not much variety in the breakfastbuffet.Poor pool facility"
Dag stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2007-02-08 and said, "Arrived at 7a.m - room was ready, had to pay early check-in. (had not reserved early ck-in).Not too many choices at the breakfast buffet comparing with similar hotels.day 1: mango and lime offeredday 2: mango offered, lime after requestday 3: mango offered, requested lime, but got sorry sir - no have (excuse me - no lime ? - in Thailand?...)Needed som icecubes at the room - sir - we have to charge you 47Bht for a bucket of ice Gready! Was told by reception that the Tuk-Tuk would leave every hour for Sukhumvit.Got out after breakfast - oh no sir, fully booked, you call first (why wasn t I informed - and why not drive two times when needed??)Pool area small and crowded, dirty water in the big jacuzzi.I do not recommend this hotel, and will certainly not stay there in the future."
Nathan stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2007-02-02 and said, "Loved It!! i could live at that hotel!!! it was such a refreshing place to rejuvenate after the hustle and bustle of bangkok. i initially contacted the hotel directly and they were booked, so i booked it on sawadee. turns out they were indeed booked so they asked me if i minded staying in the presidential suite since they were out of rooms....hmmmm...i suppose... Score!!!! it was amazing to say the least!"
Rudi stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2007-01-22 and said, "standing-full hotel, a little walk from the sky-train, rooms very clean, great bathroom, helpfull staff"
De stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2007-01-04 and said, "The Davis is a nice hotel ,a good location , only walking to Shukumvit is a bit bad because construction works but easy ride with a taxi for few Thb , There is a very poor management policy , We arrived at 07.00 from a Europe flight , could not get our Deluxe room till 11.00 even when ready except if I would paid for a extra night for a early check in (never seen this before) waiting at the pool and lobby area for few hours and after talking again to the staff they give me another room at 09.00 but not the deluxe as paid for , after complaining they told me that this was the same price level type of room ,we feel downgraded - breakfast till 10.30 but at 10.10 they announce that it will close at 10.30 , switching immediately the lights of and there goes my news paper in the dark ,staff starting with removing the food etc , and other little story’s like this are giving a cheap impression for such a nice hotel ."
Guest stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-12-01 and said, "We were very lucky to get a corner room in the corner wing. It s almost a suite room. It s a beautiful boutique hotel in a nice quiet area. Much better than staying in the city centre. There s a free tuk-tuk service to bring you to the BTS at Emporium. The hotel staff were also friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay at The Davis again."
Martin stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-11-22 and said, "Davis is a cool hotel, a real stylish place with a good thai influance. A couple of skytrain stops gets you to the center, but the walk to the skytrain is a good 15 mins along a busy road, with no real pavement, but jump in a taxi for 34 baht (40p) be lazy but be safe. The room are a good size with all mode cons & again nice style apart from the faceless bathroom. Service is spot on & good english spoken. Good buffett breakfast. Ovrerall great value for money"
Dean stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-10-24 and said, "A beautiful, exquisitely finished hotel with top-notch service. Everyone from the doormen and concierge to the front desk staff and servers in the bar were extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay at the Davis again."
THANG stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-09-08 and said, "Hotel is easy access by taxi from airport which only cost around 300bath. Hotel provide shuttle service to emporium which is connect to BTS as well. Hotel is nice, business class hotel but draw back is ABS do not have many choice."
Peter stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-08-31 and said, "Nice hotel with very friendly staff. It might be a bit offtrack if you like to use public transportation like the Skytrain. But the hotel runs a tuk-tuk service up to the skytrain and there was never a problem getting a cab. Nice and clean rooms and a delicious breakfast buffet. Would definately consider staying here again!"
geraldine stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-08-18 and said, "Lovely boutique hotel. We were well looked after. Clean beautiful room with a stunning bathroom. We found the hotel staff very helpful with our queries and request. In terms of location, its quite far from all the touristy sites and a far walk to sukhumvit rd. But close to all the shopping areas if you take a taxi."
Manuel stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-08-18 and said, "Like I explained in my previous report, the hotel is fantastic. I forgot to inform that the breakfast is very good and also the restaurant."
Manuel stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-08-08 and said, "Perfect. Although the hotel is not near from the river and shopping areas (is in finance district), however the equipments, the rooms and the staff services are very goods."
Manuel stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-08-07 and said, "The Hotel is very nice and the service is very good and considerate. The rooms are big and very nice. If some time I return to Bangkok, will come back to this hotel."
Deborah stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-07-16 and said, "Hotel was not quite what I expected. It is a little run down and the pool is disappointingly small, however, the room was a very good size. There was no choice in restaurants and breakfast was limited. The staff were very friendly, although we felt they thought that we may run away without paying and everything was very money-oriented. It made us feel uncomfortable. The situation was not bad and we could walk to the Emporium or Tescos, which was nearby. Last, but not least, be warned that the pillows are the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on and I will take my own next time!!"
Mary stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-07-09 and said, "the davis provides good service for the price..well located by the emporium mall and sky train it is easy to get around bkk..breakfast is adequate many choices none great..the employees are helpful and kind would stay there again. close to the bikr tour of bangkok which is really fun"
Tracey stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-04-30 and said, "Absolutely wonderful hotel to stay in. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. A real home away from home. Thanks very much for the wonderful upgrade too!"
Shinji stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-04-27 and said, "Our original request was 2 rooms with 2 twin beds each. When we checked in they did not meet our requests. After some explaining the Hotel Manager upgraded us to the Baan Guesthouse(Private house with kitchen, living and 3 rooms). Staff are nice and very professional. Laundry service was bit slow, breakfast not so good. There is a Tesco (supermarket) near by for your daily needs. I am scheduling my next corporate meeting at the Davis .... grade 9 out of 10 ."
HS stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-04-22 and said, "There is nothing I would say against this hotel. I loved the buildings and the room decorations and the breakfast was just fine with me. I assume that some other people who like to have fried greasy american foods for their breakfast, this is not the best breakfast you will have. But for me, it was just well-prepared meals. I paid 60 bucks to get the studio room in the wing, well, they upgraded it to the main building design room automatically. Someone mentioned Sofitel Silom as a better option than this hotel but I disagree. This hotel really makes you feel at home without dealing with overdone decorations and too much of attention that was really unnecessary. Sofitel really tried to keep it like NYC hotels and I had a problem with them not paying attention to the real problems. The location is a bit off. If you are haning out at night late to Patpong, this is not too close as it is 5 min. ride away ;) instead of 1 min away to Sofitel Silom. So, the location wasn t a problem to me. The area is up and coming as a luxurious residence area and you will find lots of constructions happening, so, it will have a better review from others in the near future once all those buildings are complete. See Tripadvisor.com later to find my candid pics and more detailed reviews. This was my best hotel deal ever."
Yaowaluck stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-04-09 and said, "Perfect, good service, good food, good location, lovely room and unique decor. There are many nice restaurants nearby which can be reached by a few minutes walk. A big department store is just 10-15 minutes walk or 35 THB by taxi. I had got impression and good memories. I feel home from the first minute check-in until the last minute check-out.I will definitely visit the Davis Bangkok again. Thanks for all."
Cheryl stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-03-28 and said, "Good hotel in a reasonably convenient location to Emporium and skytrain.Lovely staff."
Tristen stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-03-28 and said, "Our only regret about the Davis is that we did not stay there longer. Our room was gorgeous. The most beautiful room we have ever had, and we travel quite a bit. The restaurant was very good. It took a very long time to check in, and we waited in the lobby for a really long time ( good thing the bar is right there!), but once we got to our room and saw how amazing it was, we forgot any irritation at having to wait a while for it. We look forward to going back to Bangkok, mostly for the Davis!"
Rod stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-03-24 and said, "I always stay at the Davis when I m in Bangkok. For me, the location is perfect. The rooms are exceptionally good value and the staff always friendly and helpful. The only criticism I have is the breakfast is disapointing."
Rod stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-02-20 and said, "I ve stayed at The Davis 5 times now. It is superb for me and the location is great. On 2 occasions I ve enjoyed upgrades to a suite which have made my stays just that much nicer. I can t recommend this hotel highly enough"
Hannah stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-02-12 and said, "Excellent Hotel!! We had a HUGE suite room with a shower big enough for 20! Service was excellent - papers delivered every morning...rooftop pool was gorgeous. Only downside is the big shanty town behind the hotel, which they dont show you in the pictures!"
Terry stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-01-20 and said, "The Hotel Davis in Bangkok was a wonderful start to our 19 days in Thailand. We had a HUGE Jr. Suite that was beautifully decorated! The service was excellent. The only drawback may have been the breakfast. But after a couple of days we ate the Thai food for breakfast and that was much better. We have never met such wonderful, welcoming people on any previous vatcations. We plan to return to Thailand and when in Bangkok we plan to stay at the Davis again. Beautiful hotel!"
Karin stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2006-01-01 and said, "The Davis was recommended to us by a friend. Since we were travelling during peak holiday season, we were lucky to get standard rooms for our requested trael dates. The hotel is located in a very convenient area in the city center and very close to restaurants and shopping areas. We found the check-in procedures very efficient, the rooms spacious and clean. We will make it a priority to stay at the Davis the next time we are in Bangkok."
Stefanie stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-12-29 and said, "This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms were modern and very clean. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The seven of us were extremely impressed. The free breakfast buffet was delicious!"
Dana stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-12-19 and said, "Beautiful, spacious rooms with a good staff. The location is the only drawback as it is not really conventient to either the Skytrain or the underground. Lots of construction in the area, so walking around is difficult and not very interesting."
Mr. stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-12-10 and said, "The Davis is an excellent hotel. Low key, stylish in the extreme and with a very willing and friendly staff. The rooms are really outstanding; we were upgraded to a suite as our booked room was not ready and I have to say it had every facility one could wish for including two TV sets and a kitchen, a huge marbled bathroom and more. The breakfast was excellent; more than enough to choose from. Importantly the maintenance and cleanliness are deserving of full marks. The Davis is a great choice for the discerning traveller."
Talmor stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-11-22 and said, "A very elegant, modern, quiet and well designed hotel. Rooms are well equipped for the business traveller and vacation travellers alike. Superb service. Only drawback we found - access to Metro and Skytrain take a 5-minute taxi ride, and off the shopping centers. Warmly recommended."
Lida stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-11-07 and said, "this hotel is not within walking distance to the skytrain, although transportation was very easy to obtain. floors 4,5,and6 had an odor problem, but the staff provided an air purifier. the business center is only staffed from 800am to 500pm to obtain a computer you must request from the front desk downstairs, the computer was the slowest ever encountered and the charges were higher than anywhere else i ve stayed, the laundry charges are twice my other 2 hotels. the staff very friendly and helpful, the hotel is beautiful, the spa charges and services were excellant the club 88 very relaxing."
Sudaporn stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-11-07 and said, "great hotel and all staffs are friendly, we like design in the room, we stay both corner wing, and main building, if next time we come to Bangkok we will stay in Davis Bangkok hotel again."
Sudaporn stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-11-02 and said, "we love this hotel, all staffs are friendly and helpful we love design in the room, just make us smile that in between the bathroom throug bedroom have window glass... :) but all in the room are nice. will be back next time."
Sarah stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-09-21 and said, "Lovely hotel. Spotless Clean. Very Luxurious. Staff were very helpful. The hotel is a good 30 mins in taxi from Siam Square. However the hotel has a shuttle bus operating every 30mins to the sky train which is a 2 minute drive and will take you about 5/10 minutes to get to the square. We had paid in full before arriving but the take a print of the credit card on check in for room charges ect. Laundry charges are very high in the hotel. We found that the breakfast was very bland but variety was good. Between lunch and dinner don t expect to find much of a choice in the way of food. We checked in about 3 and were starved but there was only thai food on menu then. The consierge always help you get taxi outside hotel. Get them to tell the taxi to put it on the meter as it is much cheaper. Also get some directions from the hotel to give to your taxi s back because some of them will get a bit lost if you know what I mean!!! Its worth having a very good clean hotel like this in bangkok because it is such a smelly dirty place."
Niall stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-07-14 and said, "The Davis was superb!! It has to be one of the most individual and funky hotels in Bangkok. All of the staff were fantastic and really seemed to take a genuine interest in us during our stay. They all wanted our few days there to be excellent. They succeeded!! The rooms were excellent, we stayed in a suite on the first visit due to overbooking of the design rooms, the suite was very, very luxurious with every whim catered for. On our next visit, we stayed in one of the standard rooms and this too, was very well set up, nicely decorated and very good value for money. The food throughout the hotel was of an excellent standard and in keeping with the hotels modern, stylish and inventive demeanour. The pool was very nicely laid out too although you had to swim across a bit of a current. The gym was a little small but perfectly adequate for a workout covering all the major muscle groups and the cardio-vascular system. Overall the hotel was fabulous. I would give it ten out of ten on all fronts, and we will most definitely stay at The Davis on any future Thailand holidays."
Tom stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-02-25 and said, "Very attentive staff. I stayed there two nights ,the first and last nights of a business trip as all my other accommodation had been booked by local people.I was upgraded to an apartment the first night and a house the second night. Both beautifully furnished in the Thai tradition. Both had flatscreen TV s and, more importantly,CD players because I always enjoy being able to listen to my favourite CD s whilst away from homeThe house was beautifully quiet with an interesting selection of magazines . Lovely to be woken up by the sound of birds in such a busy city.I will be only too happy to go back and would certainly recommend it to fellow travellersAn ideal place for a couple to stay. Good central location but quiet and extremely comfortable and relaxingFood was good value but not up to the standard of the more expensive hotels. When I had dinner one evening at about 8 some of the empty food containers had not been refilled. However that was only a minor distraction and I look forward to revisting The Davis later this year, possibly as early as June"
Wayne stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-02-24 and said, "Absolutely top notch! My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 days before coming home and had a great time. The hotel is a bit far from the Sky Rail but they run a free tuk tuk every half hour, which is brilliant. Need to get yourself back as they only go one way. Stunning rooms, excellent staff who all speak very good English and are of the highest quality. Excellent air conditioning thankfully! Would definitely stay there again."
Janette stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-02-21 and said, "We had booked a Junior suite for our stay in Bangkok at the beginning and end of our holiday and both times were upgraded to fantastic full suites complete with kitchen, sittingroom, dressing room, fantastic bathroom and brilliant bedroom with all the trimmings and many luxurious touches. The Hotel is very stylish and the staff could not have been more helpful. Brilliant rooftop swimming pool, pool bar, spa and fitness room. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel!"
Wouter stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2005-01-16 and said, "The hotel looks very good: modern design with Thai features mixed in. Rooms and bathrooms are huge! Swimming pool on the roof is nice, though a bit small. Service at the pool not very good. Service at reception/information good enough but sometimes a bit chaotic. Good breakfast. Excellent bar in hotel, however not many other people in the bar on weekdays. Downside is the location: too far out from the best shopping, sights and skytrain. I know Bangkok doesn t really have a distinct center, but being stuck in traffic for over an hour in order to get back to your hotel is not very nice. This hotel is very nice but next time we will book a hotel closer to the sights..."
Mrs stayed at Davis Bangkok on 2004-11-08 and said, "Davis Hotel - WOW! It was fantastic, one of the best hotels ive stayed in. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the rooms luxurious and relaxing with great decor and comfy beds and its near the skytrain. A real Boutique hotel at really goos rates."
