Jennifer stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2008-06-19 and said, "This was a great place to call home during our stay in Bangkok. The room was huge (and it was only a studio) and the bathroom was amazingly large. We didn t really use the kitchen facilities much, but it was nice to have the washer. Breakfast was great, our in-room massage was fabulous, and the staff couldn t have been nicer. We would stay here again."
Steven stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2008-03-09 and said, "I can only be positive on this hotel. While checking in we were upgraded. The room was very nice, very big and clean. The hotel is nicely located within walking distance of the Skytrain and close to the river. The breakfast buffet was ok."
marko stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2008-02-23 and said, "great hotel and very nice room. we have 2 bedroom. staff is very helpfull, hotell logation near skytrain was excelent, easy travel different place in town."
Nina stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2008-02-03 and said, "What a disappointment! We booked through Sawadee and were lured by the many positive comments and the airy feel of the photos. In reality, our triple, city view apartment was very worn with shabby carpets and stained upholstery everywhere. The apartment was large but so dimly lit that even in daylight it was gloomy and drab-looking. The staff in the lobby were very polite but insisted we sign an agreement to pay extra for the third bed (already paid through Sawadee). It took a whila (and several managers to clear this up even though it was stated clearly on the voucher what was included. Sadly not a place to recommend!"
Ingebord stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2008-01-22 and said, "WOW ! One of the best hotels in Bangkok! Our room was 140 m2 ! We had an enourmous studio, brand new, extremely clean and with a great view. The hotel s pool is very big and very pretty. The restaurant is great, really good food. Non smoking restaurant which is very important! We would definitely come back and stay here. The hotel is in front of Silom Road and has a shopping center right next to the entrance. GREAT !!!!"
Frank stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-12-09 and said, "The location is perfect, the staffs were all extremely friendly and helpful staff. Hotel with Spacious large rooms. Very nice and lovely view over the Bangkok city. The breakfast was a little boring. This is best hotel for the price I have stayed in and I will be staying there again when I am in Bangkok. EXCELLENT!!! Frank and Karin from Sweden."
Paul stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-12-01 and said, "This hotel is located in a very busy area - too busy for my likes. Hotel is good and the rooms are huge. I had a one bedroom apartment and it was approx. 1000 sq. ft, a bit dated but very nice and comfortable. The pool is nice but already fully shaded by 2:00pm. The breakfast was dissappointing - not much choice and not as good as other BKK hotels I have stayed at. The main issue for me was that they were still doing hotel refurbishing and it was noisy and annoying during the day. Overall not bad but there are better choices in BKK for the money."
Dr stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-11-19 and said, "Undergoing renovation currently but didn t affect my stay at all. The staff are friendly and helpful, the apartments are well equiped and clean, as well as big. I stay here every time I go to Bangkok as I think it s the best value for money, and the location is perfect."
Mr. stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-11-15 and said, "Very nice serviced apts. Staff were helpful and attentive. The location was great, right by the BTS and the river. The pool was nice but the area leading to it and the Restaurant were under renovation. We saw on our last day how nicely it had turned out. Breakfast was adequate, but not as good as a 4 star hotel. Overall very good experience and we plan on returning in the future."
Cindy stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-06-15 and said, "It was lovely! The room was huge with a fabulous view of Bangkok. The doorman and the security men were wonderful and so helpful. The staff at the desk were very efficient and helpful. The location is fabulous! Breakfast was excellent and the coffee was outstanding. The pool is lovely. We will definetly be back!"
Allen stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-06-01 and said, "The Centre Point Silom is in the process of being remodeled (through the Fall of 2007 I think). We saw the lobby both in the last stages of work and when it was finished and I can say that it looks very nice. We had no problem with noise. As has been said elsewhere, the rooms are very large compared with those in other hotels. They have a kitchen and combination washer-drier. (We needed help figuring out how to run it. Do allow extra time for the drying process. It takes awhile.) I don t know how the rooms will be after renovation, but the one we had was very serviceable with lots of closet space. It did have more light switches than I could quite believe but that was only a reason to smile. Generally we were very happy with our stay there, although keep in mind that it is a service apartment and not a hotel. Because of this there is a little more of a corporate feel to the management than you would get in a boutique hotel. I consider it great value for the money and would definitely stay there again. I think it would be a very good choice for families with children. It is very close to the river taxi and the skytrain, both of which are important for first-time visitors. This was my first time in Bangkok and I thought the location was good. For shoppers, most of the malls can be easily reached using the skytrain. The Centre Point Silom also sits on top of a Robinson s department store, which is handy for necessities and money exchange/atms. I liked the roof top pool which gives a fine view of the city and is much larger than that at the Sofitel. (Note that for some reason pools in Thailand seem to be all one, rather shallow, depth. Don t expect to dive into them.) I do recommend booking in advance though the internet because you won t get a rate as inexpensive if you walk in. Even their internet rate is several hundred baht more. Also, the building has a little bit of an odd construction in that the view is partially obstructed by a structural beam that runs in front of the balcony. For this reason we chose to stay on the city side, thinking that the river view was not so much on display. Even with the caveats I ve mentioned, I consider this to be a very good choice. It isn t going to be like a five star hotel (like the Sofitel or the Shangri-La) but it does give more space and a homier feel."
Colleen stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-06-01 and said, "Excellent hotel/Apartments. Staff were great, we had a studio which was extremely clean & comfortable. Robinsons Department store is in the same building as well as a few restaurants, coffee shop, Swensons icecream and more. 5 minutes from sky train & boat pier. Highly recommend for service, quality & location."
Carlos stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-04-27 and said, "Huge room, good pool, great view of the city, very convenient because close to the subway and the river boats (YOUR way of moving around in Bangkok). Coming back there for sure."
Eric stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-04-18 and said, "Very high quality appartments and beautiful swimming pool in a good location close to the river in Bangkok. The appartments are really impressive and very big, with lots of room for people who like to cook themselves sometimes."
Karen stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-04-10 and said, "Very pleased with the location.Theroom was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, which was excellent. This hotel was being refurbished at the time of our staff, unbeknown to us, however it did not detract from the enjoyment although it would have been good to have stayed after the transformation. The washing machine in the room was an advantage."
Hans stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-03-20 and said, "We were very pleased with the hotel. Good value for the money. A minor problem was, however, the limited knowledge in English by the personnel. We will make another reservation the week after next on our way back to Sweden."
Michael stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-03-15 and said, "We where staying in the hotel for many times. Hotel was very good as usual. Rooms are spacious and clean and have free Internet. The general facilities were good. Staff was reliable, helpful and polite. Brekfast was quite good. Robinson store is in the same building. Good location as it is at transport hub (skytrain and river boat). Hotel has excellent value for money."
Jonelle stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-02-24 and said, "We stayed here only one night but there are wonderful large, clean and very comfortable rooms. VERy friendly staff and it is right above a shopping complex - if you need anything. The restaurant there is also very nice and inexpensive. Would highly recommend it as was very easy and they were very organised. Lovely end to our trip."
Gerardin stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-02-17 and said, "We stayed 4 nights at centre Point Silom with our 2 children. This hotel is very well located, at walking distance from the river and the BTS (Metro)and very convenient for any kind of purchasing (foods, clothes). Rooms are very big (80 m2), and staff is very nice. The swimming pool is very big.Only 2 drawbacks : furniture is a little bit old fashioned, and the noise from the street may disturb your nights (but it is bangkok !).Otherwise this hotel is very good value for Money."
Hong stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-01-29 and said, "The most impressive aspect is the size of the room. Very spacious and well furnished. Worth a 4 or 5-star rating.Internet is free for those who travel with a laptop. There s a charge for using the computer downstairs for Internet access. The charge for in-room local calls are very reasonable. We found the front desk service to be adequate. Not exceptionally friendly and welcoming, but not bad, either. The hotel doesn t set aside non-smoking rooms. The maid seemed to have used air freshener, which didn t completely remove the smell of cigarette smoke in our room. Our in-rooom dryer didn t work. No heat. We waited a long time for service. Dryer still didn t work after repairman stopped by. After wasting a lot of time with the dryer, finally my husband pulled the dryer out and fixed it himself. The hotel doesn t provide any hair conditioner. However, there s a convenience store in the basement of the building, where guests can buy what they need.We found that the small roll of toilet paper provided per day by the hotel was not sufficient. Each morning, we had to flag down the maid in the hallway to get an extra roll. The food courts in the building are also very convenient. The breakfast buffet is adequate. We enjoy the fresh fruits and authentic Thai dishes provided for breakfast. My husband was happy with the variety of gym equipment. The rooftop pool is well-maintained every morninng. The conference room and audio-visual equipment avaialble for meetings are great for business travellers. The hotel s location is excellent. Very convenient and short walk to the skytrain station and main pier for the river boats. The local market and street vendors are literally right outside the building."
Kim stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-01-29 and said, "Super location, we asked for a two bedroom apartment and got the luxery suite. Great hotel with good breakfast, located close to BTS and the river boats. We would use it again."
Andreas stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2007-01-06 and said, "We just stayed one night in Bangkok. The staff was extremly friendly, exelent service, great and clean rooms. perfect"
Richard stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-12-27 and said, "The hotel was excellent. They upgraded us to an appartment that had a greater floor area than our home in London. Position, service and value for money all brilliant."
Dr. stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-11-11 and said, "Good apartments, clean and a lot of space. The river boats in 3 minutes and to go out take a taxi for 5 minutes.I would stay there again."
Robert stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-11-03 and said, "The experience at Centre Point Silom was similar to others reported here. Huge rooms, apartment setting. Everything worked. Even the washing machine/dryer which had English instructions worked [and they provided detergent]. Bath and kitchen all clean, mold free. Fairly recent furnishings. Nothing delapidated or out of date. The location directly on top of a Robinson s is extremely convenient [they have their own entrance into Robinson s]as is the 2 minute walk to the Skytrain. I had a city view, but on the 21st floor, noise is not an issue. The breakfast was nice, with omelettes on demand. The coffee is perfect. All the Centre Points I ve stayed at have fresh-brewed coffee from a machine; perfect every time. Didn t go swimming, but the pool does seem kind of small, but a nice gym on the premises with three treadmills, two elipticals, multiple bikes etc. I found nothing to complain about, except that I was alone and the 90 sq/m apartment was big enough to host a party of 20 or 30 people! Still it was about 30% cheaper than the Shangri La at 3 times the room size and about a 2 minute walk to the Shangri La where the conference was being held."
Mary stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-10-10 and said, "The serviced apartment we stayed in was HUGE and the attention to detail was immaculate. The use of sawadee.com as a booking service was great. My only complaint is that we were ensured a non-smoking room when I booked the reservation. Upon arriving at the Centre Point, the rooms reeked of new and stale cigarette smoke. Turns out, there are no non-smoking rooms at Centre Point Silom. Maybe I expected something unrealistic, but when someone tells me they have promised something, and I ve explained that it s really important, and they ver committed that I ll have what I need, I don t expect to have been lied to. That part was VERY disappointing. In their favor, the hotel put ionizers in the suite and cleaned the place very thoroughly and it was helpful, but not fabulous. If but for the smoking smell, the place would have been awesome. The breakfast buffet (included) was just great. Can t say enough, otherwise."
Scott stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-09-08 and said, "Fantastic location, Staff friendly and so helpful, Great facilities and wonderful room Highly reccomended"
Monica stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-08-20 and said, "Huge apartments, really clean and well appointed; ask for a river view room higher than 15th floor. I loved the breakfast, the best in Thailand. Clean swimming pool. Really close to SKYtrain and river xpress line. Tuktuk/taxi do not know where it is, so just say Shangri-la or Robinson dept stores."
Siv stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-06-28 and said, "We were very pleased with our stay at centre point. The apparment was large and had all kinds of equipment making our stay pleasent. Fridge, TV, DVD, CD player, 3 bathrooms, large rooms and it was quiet during night. Aircondition was making some noise, but it worked well so we could turn it off during night if we wanted. The hotel is on the top of Robinson shoopingmall and close to the phraya river, so its very centrally placed in Bankok. The hotel pool was clean and well sized, and the breakfast was also okey. We would not hesitate to stay here any time later."
John stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-04-15 and said, "Spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable rates - would definitely stay here again."
Paul stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-03-31 and said, "Great location on top of Robinson department store and very close (3mins walk) to Skyrail and Central boat pier. Rooms were clean and huge, much bigger than a usual hotel room. Only bad things were it was probably a little noisier as close to a main road and expressway (I wore earplugs to sleep) and the aircon condensors were on the balcony adding to the noise. Buffet breakfast was good especially the fruit and free DVD rental is a nice touch. Recommended especially for a family who would love the space."
Mikkel stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-02-01 and said, "Great location just 300 mtrs from Taksin Skytrain Station. Excellent value for money and especially great if you bring small kids along as you have your own kitchenette and Robinson Dept Store at the basement (for toddler necessities and drinks to fill up the fridge). Highly recommended for anyone wishing to be close to the river, in fact I d recommend to choose a river view room as there is a bit of noise on the Charoen Krung side of the hotel. Decent breakfast with very good coffee and all the facilities you would need during a stay in Bangkok. Oh and don t forget the DVD library at the front desk, in case you want your kids to go to sleep early, or just need to unwind after a full day trotting the Bangkok pavements. Will book this hotel again and enjoy the mere 5 minutes walk to State Tower, where you should splash out on cocktails and the best night vision view of Bangkok."
Merajul stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-01-8 and said, "The room was clean & the reception desk staff were professional.I would recommennd any budget traveller touse this hotel!!Location is just perfect!! Would stay again if I prefer to go Bangkok..."
Colin stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-01-27 and said, "Hotel is OK. We were upgraded and the room was very large - almost too large. We usually stay in Silom or Sukhumvit and did not find this area as useful, the area has more traffic noise than other areas we have stayed in. 2min walk to the river and Taksin BTS station - but as mentioned before we will stay in another area next time."
W stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-01-23 and said, "The one bedroom furnished apartments are enormous -- we stayed just one night but would be perfect for a longer stay or for a family (there was a fold out couch in the living room. Very nicely furnished. Clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Fantastic location -- easy walk to the skytrain and the river ferry. Just down the road from some of the city s nicer hotels. Overall, a fantastic value."
Cathryn stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2006-01-18 and said, "We were very impressed with this hotel. We had a one bedroom suite that was very large and comfortable. Very nice, clean room. There were two TV s, DVD Player and VHS player. They even have a large selection of DVD s you can borrow free of charge. Staff was very good and efficient. Security was very good as well. Only a block from the sky train, which is a very easy way to get around the city. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was great."
Paul stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2005-11-28 and said, "This place is a gem. Located very near the monorail and the river, it is really good value. The two bedroom apartment was great for myself, my wife and two teenagers (two large bedrooms, large living area, dining area, 2 1/2 baths and three televisions with free access to a large DVD library to keep the teenagers occupied later at night). The pool, restaurant and amenities were never busy, and the staff were always friendly. This was, perhaps, the nicest accommodation we had in our recent journey around the world (although the views aren t as good as the Pyramids in Egypt). We have already recommended this place to all our friends thinking of visiting Bangkok."
Paul stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2005-11-10 and said, "Nice hotel, very comfortable, good value for money, staff very friendly and very close to the river for sight-seeing trips. Also only two minutes from the Skytrain."
Iain stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2005-10-29 and said, "Excellent very spacious accommodation with attentive staff. Great for families who want a bit of independance & the ability to cook at home . Free DVD rental is a good bonus too."
Jim stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2005-10-19 and said, "A great apartment and the staff is excellent. Really appreciate the HI-speed internet in the room. Plenty of food downstairs at Robinson s...and a great breakfast in the morning at the hotel. Two hundred feet from the Skytrain. Greatvalue for the dollar. Highly recommend!"
Brett stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2005-08-31 and said, "My partner and I just returned from a very happy week at Centre Point Silom. It is exremely well positioned in the vibrant neighbourhood of Bangrak, close to both the Skytrain and the Chao Prya ferries. The rooms are generoulsy proportioned and offer excellent value for money. In addition, the staff and service was faultless. We will be sure to stay here again on future trips to BKK."
Christine stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2005-06-24 and said, "My second visit to Centre Point Silom and felt the same. Friendly & enthusiasm staff, good pool & nice buffet breakfast. Huge room & good facilities except this time the shower head not working properly and wait too long for the warm water, it needs to be fixed. Would stay again next time"
Gary stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2005-05-17 and said, "We were really impressed when we checked in the hotel to see our name on the welcome board. Room was better than expected, the best we have had in Bangkok (our 3rd visit)We were also impressed by the enthusiasm and good manners of the staff. The position of the hotel, close to river and skytrain was fantastic."
Ritz stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2005-02-16 and said, "Apartment was a lot bigger than we expected & tastefully furnished. Both bedrooms were huge yet cosy. Hotel staff were friendly & readily offer assistance whenever required. Loved the pool & fitness centre!"
Gail stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2005-01-09 and said, "We stayed two separate 1 night stays in 2 firrerent 2 bedroom apartments. Both very big and very comfortable. Service at desk most helpful. Good location"
Paul stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2004-12-06 and said, "very nice, great location by the river and skytrain. huge rooms, I think we were upgraded without asking. nice buffet breakfast. good pool and workout facilities. no traveller vibe, seems to be business orientated."
Chang stayed at Centre Point Silom on 2004-11-10 and said, "Locationg of the hotel is ideal- Robinson department store is right in the same building, and BTS station is only 3 or 5 min of walk from hotel. I can see the Chaparaya river from the room windows(22 floor) and the swimming pool is great. Long serving hours of the breakfast (from 0600 to 1100 hrs) and with good quality. Rooms are clean and tidy, and all facilities of the apartment works very well except the water heater which can only provide warm water no longer than 20 minutes per usage."
