Gunnar stayed at City Residence on 2007-06-27 and said, "Small and familiar hotel with pool on the roof. The rooms were relative clean, good enough for sleeping. The staff was very friendly. I could recommend the hotel for those, who search a small budget hotel and do not need BTS, MTR within a small distance. Sure there are better houses in this price range."
Marco stayed at City Residence on 2007-02-27 and said, "Excellent hotel. Great swimming pool and sun deck. The gym is ok too but very old so some of the machines dont work too well. Would seriously recommend this hotel to everyone. we have stayed here twice now for 8 days each time and have nothing bad to say about it."
Tanya stayed at City Residence on 2007-01-29 and said, "Fantastic location. 10 minutes walk from the BTS main monorail system in Bangkok, and the main shopping center of MBK and Siam Paragon. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Very very freindly staff. Wonderful place to stay."
Sarah stayed at City Residence on 2007-01-21 and said, "This is an ok budget hotel. Rooms very basic and drab but clean and decent aircon. Towels and soap provided. First night we were given a room on the first floor and close to the lift shaft on the Rama 6 Rd side (202). We didn t get much sleep due to traffic (deafening and 24hr) and the ping of the lift as it stopped at every floor up and down. We asked to move the next morning and were immediately moved to a much nicer room on the 6th floor (708). Traffic less of a problem but still pretty bad. If staying here I would recommend you get a room high, away from the lift and at the back of the hotel.Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was in the adjoining restaurant and was a choice from the menu of chinese congee, continental or american. American was best value.Location is about 20mins walk from National Stadium Skytrain or Hua Lumpong metro. A bit difficult if arriving at night but manageable. If you want to eat close to the hotel you have the option of the restaurant in the hotel or there is a massive Tescos nearby with a few restaurants and takeaways. In summary, good value (we paid 900 baht per night incl breakfast) and great staff - not suitable if you want to sleep through the night though!"
