Nanang stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-06-01 and said, "It was pleasant to stay at a clean, budgeted, and cozy hotel. Everything was fine: AC, bathroom, bed, and breakfast. Luckily I was not having meals a lot so poridge with halal chicken was more than enough to feed every morning, despite availability of other choices: poridge with shrimp, bread, orange juice, ommelete, etc. Guys in front desk also were also relatively ok. Travel around Bangkok was no problem: 100 bath using bus AE3 in front of Soi 5 Sukhumvit to Svarnabumhi Airport. BTW, mosque was in front of the hotel, so no worries for you to pray Jum at. Will stay again next year! Best Regards to Mr. Mohammad -the restaurant attendant. looking forward your visit to Indonesia. Cheer!"
William stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-05-29 and said, "great hotel, friendly staff, nice clean room, bathroom bright clean and newly fitted, water pressure great and also very hot. no charge for joiner, breakfast could be a bit better but all in all had a great stay will def return to this hotel when next in bangkok"
Robert stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-05-29 and said, "Hotel is located in a busy side street, which I thought had a lot of character and personality. some people may be intimidated by area but my girlfriend and I loved it. Supermarket and restaurants nearby. About 5 min walk to skytrain - good location. Rooms were clean, smelled a little musty the first day but otherwise very clean. Not a single insect in sight. Breakfast was average."
PIERREZ stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-05-02 and said, "good location close to many restaurant etc. but very noisy. Plenty of middle east people in the area. Rooms are cleans, poor service and breakfast. Know some hotels more cheaper and better"
Muhammad stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-04-06 and said, "it was really good good experience to live in Bangkok Sahara Hotel. Most thing which i like that, i heard 5 times AZAN"
Mikhail stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-03-21 and said, "Small hotel, rooms dont have that facilities that they promise on web site, like safebox and bath tab.But its nice and clean, good value for money."
Mdm stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-03-15 and said, "2nd time of patronage since location is so convenient, rm is clean & neat. However, portion of breakfast served are too little compare to previous time.Would be better with added English TV channels & music stations."
Katharine stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-03-15 and said, "The front desk and elevator a little bit shabby but the room & bath room very clean. I recommend this hotel for the midrange hotel."
Martin stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-03-05 and said, "Excellent location! However, the hotel is near a popular bar so it can be a little noisy late at night. Breakfast was average and the bathroom was a little small. Overall, good value and I will stay there again."
Kristina stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-02-22 and said, "reasonable price but the hotel is not a very good one, this was the most surprising view from the room - wall of another building!!!food is ok, but the sutff is totally unfriendly, they could at least smile from time to time, instead we saw only angry faces at the reception.no safety box in the room, they don t clean the rooms and don t change towels. not enough light in the room.good situation - close to sky train station Nana , but from another point of view - too many prostitutes all over the place. We surelly didn t like this hotel."
kevin stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-02-18 and said, "Good location just off sukhumvit & close to nana station, good welcome on arrival.Room was small but ok and clean.Booked an extra night one week later at a higher price with hotel direct and would stay again."
Maaria stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-01-25 and said, "Location was ok, nearby BTS- Nana station. Rooms were clean, but the hotel had already seen its best days. No safety box in the rooms, but there is chance to use one in the reception. Breakfast was also ok, and breakfast service was good. But the receptionist could not care less about customer service. Good choice for budget traveller. Sahara is okay, but not shiny!"
Luis stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2008-01-16 and said, "For a budget hotel, it was very nice and clean and a very affordable stay. The service was simple but pleasant with friendly people who did a good job. They were always polite and tried to help as much as they could. It also helps for hotel guests to be nice themselves and try to learn and respect the Thai culture, which is very beautiful."
Asrade stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-12-29 and said, "Although the exterior looked shaby, the rooms were clean and very decent for the price. The location was also great."
HAU stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-12-07 and said, "I had a room on the 1st floor, it was clean and the hotel staff were helpful, had a nice stay. The hotel is very central as far as the Sukimvut area goes, everything you need is pretty much right next door, banks, supermarket, bars, restaurants, etc."
Sean stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-10-18 and said, "Very clean rooms, a nice little hotel. A small downside is the noise from outside. It can become very noisy in the early morning as traders and workmen go about their business. Also, the Aircon makes the room very cold, so it s not worth keeping on for long. All in all a good hotel for the price."
Lireneo stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-09-19 and said, "Service was disgusting. Included breakfast was awful. Rooms filled with roaches."
Thai stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-08-31 and said, "Rooms must have been newly renovated--so, they are clean and functional, except for the weak AC. The reception staff is not at all friendly; in fact, they are downright rude sometimes. Price is okay for the facilities in the rooms, but definitely not for the service."
GAJ stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-08-06 and said, "stil okay, Prices of the restaurant increased a lot. almost the double since 2006. Good location, good room. probably will stay there again if i visit thailand again"
Alexey stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-08-02 and said, "It was just a short stop on the way to Koh Tao island. The hotel wasn t bad. Clean and big enough room (and normal bathroom).Don t eat (and especially drink) in hotel restaurant - it s overpriced.Hotel is near Skytrain station, which is good. Bad (personally for me as a Jew) that it s located in area called Little Arabia. Near hotel there is a big concentration of orthodox Muslims, icluding women in hijabs -a little bit unusual for Bangkok."
James stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-07-27 and said, "The room was clean, but overpriced considering it only had small frosted windows - i.e. no outside view at all. Plus no kettle for tea or coffee making. The worst part was checking in - I arrived at 1 a.m. after a 26 hour journey, but there had been confusion about holding the room available for me so late (despite the advanced payment!). There was a worrying 20 minutes when it appeared the hotel was completely full already, but after some protest the last available room was finally given."
Mrs stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-05-24 and said, "walking distance to NANA BTS station,711 convenient store & 24hrs supermart, hair salon & laundry just round the corner.IDD cum Internet access shop is just infront of the hotel.Rm is clean & newly upgraded but without direct local calling, besides HBO channel the rest are either Thai or Middle East programme.Totally no music or English radio station could listen inside the guestrm.Breakfast served is delicious but portion is a bit too little. Service staff in cafe are not attentive."
Peter stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-05-18 and said, "The front desk needs a facelift but do not be put off by this. The rooms are clean and of a good size with clean and decent sized bathroom. I will stay there again as it is well located near Sukhumvit Rd"
Hani stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-05-18 and said, "i paid for 3 daysi checked out after 2 hoursnever and never want to stay there aagainits not a hotelits a jail!!!!!!!!!!!"
Fern stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-04-26 and said, "i think the hotel is made for midgets. stayed on 1st floor, the shower is shorter than me. to wash your hair, you have to bend. room is relatively clean, though spotted a coackroach in the toilet. overall, i think 1200 baht for a night there is quite on the high side, i d rather pay a little more to get someplace bigger and cleaner."
Russell stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-04-05 and said, "been here now 3 times. good hotel for budget conscious traveller.great location, close to bars, restaurants and bts skytrain. only downside for me would prefer safety deposit box in room. will be back again in september"
Peter stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-03-19 and said, "Clean, reasonable price and close to the action on Sukhumvit. Reception gives the wrong impression of the room but the service was friendly an defficient."
LEN stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-03-09 and said, "Good; it is a clean little place in the middle of a busy Nana area. For the price it is good but don t expect too much! I found out that they keep the good rooms (ones that are facing the street) to higher paying customers. Those of us that booked thru the Internet gets the back rooms.(ones that are facing a wall of other building) It is located in a middle east area but over all are friendly.Bad; dim room. no fan in bathroom. no free water.Others; Found that the exchange rate are much better at the near by phone shops and or the internet cafes. The 24hr food store around the corner will be your best choice for daily needs as well as the many 7 eleven around. Across the hotel has a little travel agency. Jumbo I think, can book you mini van and tour for a reasonable price. we booked a mini bus to Pattaya for $ 2000 Bath Taxi to and form Airport pending on traffic should be around $ 300-400 Bath and always get one with meter! Over all it was a good place to stay for the price. Should I have more money, the Armari around the corner would be a good choice."
Mr.Stuart stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-02-20 and said, "found hotel to be comfortable at reasonable rates.very close to skytrain, convenient store, shopping, and if needed exciting night life."
Chen stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-02-19 and said, "A good choice, the price I paid was 1200B for a double room. The room is clean, well maintained. good location at BTS nana station. but the hotel is a little difficult to find.If you don t want to pay too much money, it the very good choice. Much better then the tower inn I stayed next day."
Roger stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-02-16 and said, "Clean rooms and more or less comfortable. Central location (Sukhumvit) is very good (short walk to Nana BTS station). Within Arab quarter but no problems there. The road-side rooms are a bit noisy in the night."
Casey stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-02-08 and said, "If you are traveling on a budget or just want a clean room to sleep over, this hotel is value for money on its location. Nana BTS station is just 2min walk from hotel. BUT if you are looking for hotel that provide nice enviroment and good breakfast spend a little more money check yourself into another hotel. This hotel do not provide basic things like hair dryer, warm water, tissues paper and not event drinking water in the room. The safe box in the lobby is very unsafe, we have to carry our passport around the whole trip. There are eating house in the supermarket and on top the supermarket that provide nice Thai food which is more for foriegner taste(not so sweet and salty as compaire to local eating house). The supermarket run 24 hours and there are small eating stall along the street during the night. Over all this hotel was value for money on its location and not services. It is good for budget traveller."
Mr. stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-01-29 and said, "Well maintained."
Ning stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-01-26 and said, "although it is a small hotel, suprisingly the room condition are good, clean and comfortable(just like the picture showed in the internet)It is very near to Nana station, just a 4 mins walk. Body massage center is very nearby to the hotel and if you like night life, this is definitely your right choice. It is very near to pub town.. strategic location. If i come to bangkok in future, i will choose this hotel again."
Munzir stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-01-25 and said, "What should we expect from what we paid here, the hotel was average, clean and no issue in room or toilet, but what i feel here two things, they need to have better attitude with customer (required Customer Training Program) and the breakfast was fixed not buffet, everyday same food.bottom line is hotel was average, safe if you have family and clean, I can recommend to anyone having tight budget"
Stuti stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-01-03 and said, "The hotel seems quite new.The rooms were good. The toilet and room were also clean. The only thing the hotel should try to improve its lobby. The lobby is bad it needs a good renevartion. The hotel should also improve the standard of the breakfast it was really bad. Overall the hotel was good. would recomended it.only the breakfast and the lobby needs to change"
Huong stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2007-01-01 and said, "Great location however, it is quite expensive for what it provides. No free internet access. The entrance looks old and dirty but the room is quite decent. The first room that given to us stank with cigarette smoke so we had to ask for another room. Horrible selection of TV channels, mostly for Thais and Arabs. The showerhead for our room (128) was very low and my husband found it hard to take a shower. Limited choice of breakfast, eggs, eggs and more eggs, no buffet breakfast like other hotels. The staff was friendly except the old lady with glasses at the reception. When we asked for a taxi to the airport, she offered to book a taxi for us at 500 baht. In reality, the cost of public taxi is only about 200 baht from Sukhumvit Soi 5 plus road tax of 65 baht, so rougly 300 baht. Goot profit huh? Conclusion: Won t come back since it is unfriendly and expensive."
DR. stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-12-06 and said, "I stayed at this hotel with my 12 year old daughter from 6-12 Dec.2006. I must say that the rooms and toilet were extremely clean and the location is superb. Close to the BTS, muslim restaurants serving Halal food, 7-Eleven, Money changer and night market. But best of all, me and my daughter feel safe and secure being two females on a leisure travel experience. BHowever, I do hope that the hotel can improve on the breakfast menu. The three choices offered were all eggs menu. After the third day....I had to go and eat elsewhere. They should offer other choices like pancakes or croissants or a more healthy alternative like cereals and fruits which may appeal to children. Im don t think it would costs much more than the current egg choices. Besides, the eggdishes were extremely salty and also soggy with cooking oil!! Certainly not good for your health. The SAMRAN Hotel that I last stayed were cheaper and offer better breakfast menu....but I just wanted to try a different location this time around."
nar stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-12-01 and said, "Again in this very good hotel.Staff was very friendly.I will be back soon."
Anthony stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-11-30 and said, "Clean. Less than 5 minute walk to shopping, restaurants, and skytrain station. Noisy area. 2 cockroaches in my room. 1 very large cockroach in the hotel restaurant. If you don t mind roaches, it s a good budget hotel."
Lionel stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-10-31 and said, "Hotel was clean and all accessories worked as planned. Not a 5 star but definately worth the price paid through Sawadee. Just make sure the reservation fax is sent to the hotel in advance. They do not understand computers at all there."
Lionel stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-10-29 and said, "Very good for the price. Great location on Sukumvit."
Helen stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-10-21 and said, "Brilliant little place, clean, nice bathroom, quite basic. Had a room at the back of the hotel - the view was a wall but at least it was quiet. Mini bar prices were cheaper thatthe bar, breakfast was ok, best of all it s right in the middle of all the action & Gullivers is right across the road so you can drop your fella of there to watch the football while you go shopping!!!"
Mark stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-10-01 and said, "Not friendly environment for westerners. Extremely BAD service and receptionist was very rude, would never stay again even it was free!!! Could not speak good English and were no help with directions or information."
chris stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-09-28 and said, "Stayed at the Sahara for 2 nights end of sept 2006, good for the price 1000b worth it for great location, hotel a bit raggy round the common areas but room was OK clean and tidy good A/C and bathroom looked like it had been made over recently, desk staff good, breakfast go somewhere else, I will use this hotel again, only down side was the call to mecca in the afternoon it woke me up."
Eddy stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-09-17 and said, "A simple hotel for tourist who just need a place to take shower and sleep, other than that, nothing to shout about.Booked a Duluxe Room but given a room facing a wall less than a metre away, so the room is quite dingy and with very low air ventalation, otherwise room is clean and tidy.Breakfast is acceptable but with limited choice, you are even not allow to refill the orange juice that is provided with the breakfast set as Orange juice is very expensive!"
Frederick stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-09-15 and said, "Rooms far superior to what the lobby would suggest. Clean - new bath area. Cable TV is Arabic oriented. Breakfast limited. Late checkout not an option without full day s rate. I prefer some of the other hotels in the area but for a night or two it is OK"
Nar stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-08-31 and said, "Very good hotel, rooms are clean. We have to change the room, as the rooms on first floor are very small, and as I am a tall person, had no place under the shower. If you avoid the rooms on 1st floor, you have a very good hotel, for a very good fare."
B. stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-08-17 and said, "You wouldn t notice this hotel straight away unless you are told where it is. It is located in the small middle eastern (Arab) quarter. It is favoured be Saudi Arabians and their neighbours. Be ready to see women fully dressed in black with just a narrow opening for the eyes. The hotel is 2 min. walk to Nana Station, 10 min. walk to Robinson s Department store, 2 min. drive to Express way. Very handy location to shop, dine or tour. Hotel small foyer is a bit shabby, so is the small lift. However the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Very nice bathroom. The aircon is a bit too noisy; it woke us up few times during the night. But if you are a tight sleeper you ll be all right. The reception is not very friendly. When my brother asked to change his room which was small, noisy and with a big metal door in the middle of the wall leading nowhere and only shower with no bath, he was told that they had no other vacant rooms, after we insisted we were promised new room on the next day. The next day we were told the same story again - no vacancies. Only after we insisted in a serious way, they gave us another room which was much better. But once again, unless you are unlucky the rooms a nice and clean, the beds are very big and comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and modern.Breakfast is pretty simple and the same every morning. But if you are staying only few days, it doesn t matter. We had early morning tour (6:30 am) and hotel refused to serve us breakfast this early, didn t offer any other alternative either. To summarise: if you made your booking on Sawasdee.com you get really good value for money accommodation."
Low stayed at Bangkok Sahara Hotel on 2006-07-12 and said, "Hotel room rather small, below my expectation compared to my stay at Pattaya. Also the evening staff were not so courteous as I expect from the Land of Smile Will not return to this hotel again."
