Submit a Review
We encourage you to submit any honest hotel reviews.
- Just write out your review and send via email or use our new review form. We will format your review and add it to the appropriate hotel or resort page.
- Be sure to tell us the name and location of the property
- In fairness to the owners, we will not publish anonymous
reviews
- In fairness to the future guests, we will check email addresses on "over
the top" reviews
- Include your name - first name is sufficient
- Include your working email address
- Tell us your approximate date of stay
- Explain why you liked or disliked the hotel or some part of it
- Would you consider staying at the hotel again?
Sorry, we do not pay for reviews.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q - Your Reviews - Who writes them?
A - All our reviews have been submitted by paying
guests who have stayed at the property while traveling on holiday
or on business. We screen our reviews carefully to try and make
sure a hotel or resort employee does not submit a review.
We
have found more than one property owner attempting to manipulate
reviews. When that happens, we drop their property from our index.
In the case of a negative review that appears to be "over the
top", we may contact the property owner. We have found one
case where a competitor was apparently attempting sabotage.
Q - No Reviews - Some of your hotel pages have no reviews
at all. Why is that?
A - So far we have not been able to get reliable or honest
reviews on some of the properties. We never write our own
reviews.
Q - Odd Names - I see many first names on the reviews.
But some of the "names" are "Mr" and nothing else. Why
is that?
A - Two reasons.
1 - For the sake of privacy, we only publish
a single name for a reviewer. (note - it doesn't always work, so anyone
wanting an identity disguised just needs to ask)
2 - That name is the first one they show on their review. If
it is a first name, we use that. If it is a last name, we use that.
Some reviewers use "Mr John Doe". We build our pages with a script
and that script sees "Mr" as their first name.
Q - No Reviews 2 - If a hotel or resort does not have any reviews, does that mean it should be avoided?
A - No. Some of the properties are new. Others may be small and don't get a great many guests.
We find that a property is more likely to get negative reviews than positive ones.
Q - Browsing How does your browsing feature work?
A - We have our own database of hotel and resort thumbnails, descriptions and ratings. When you select a destination from the "Top Resorts" menu, a page loads and show up to 40 resorts which were selected randomly from
our database. To see another 40 resorts, refresh the page.
The page shows a "star" rating if it has one, a brief description, and a thumbnail photo. To see more complete descriptions, click the link.
NOTE: Because the resorts are selected at random, you may see some of the same resorts on a second page refresh.
