Raquel stayed at Kata Palm Resort & Spa on 07/09/2006 and said,  "We enjoyed very much our stay at Kata Palm Resort (we were a group of 6 adults). We chose pool access rooms and it resulted to be an unforgettable experience. Rooms are beautifully decorated and there is a magnificent bathtub, from which one can take a bath while looking at the swimming pool. Restaurants at the hotel are cheap and convenient (not more expensive than dining outside). The only minor down was breakfast buffet, which we didn t like very much. Very good relation quality/price, at least at low season. I hope I will return to this hotel."

Only downside was the buffet breakfast was terrible. Better off to go down the road for a coffee and snack in the morning. "

I particularly like the swimming pool, next time I should have upgraded to the ground floor room with direct access to the pool! Just one complaint, we stayed there for 3 nites, but on the 2nd day the cleaner did not replenish the shower cap and complimentary drinking water."

GALUSSOT stayed at Kata Palm Resort & Spa on 01/26/2006 and said,  "Excellent hotel d un bon rapport qualite / prix. Le personnel est très sympathique.La piscine est sublime. La plage de Kata (Club Med)est à 5 minutes. Les chambres excellentes (il ne manque que le coffre) Les prix du restaurant ou du bar sont bas pour la zone Kata. Les seuls reproches: Les massages et les soins prodigués au nouveau Spa sont donnés par des amatrices. Les coiffeuses, gentilles mais inéfficaces, sont à éviter. Il y a également quelques odeurs (légères) qui remontent de temps en temps vers le debut de la piscine a proximite des cuisines. Je viens à Phuket chaque année, depuis 20 ans et j ai testé plus de 15 établissements. Le problème des odeurs est général et touche même de prestigieux établissements. Un gros effort sur l assainissement est réalisé depuis quelques années et la différence est énorme. Pour information, après le tsunami, l ensemble des plages de Phuket est de bonne qualité. J encourage les touristes à se rendre à Kamala ou malgrè le drame, plusieurs hotels fonctionnent normalement et les habitants ont vraimant besoin des touristes, plus qu ailleurs. La vaste plage est à nouveau de bonne qualité et ressemble plus à ce quelle était il y a 10 ans, plus natuelle et sans bars ou boutiques bruyants."

La piscine est magnifique et peux rivaliser avec des hotels plus luxeux. Les chambres sont vaste et confortables avec une terrasse agréable. Le personnel est très sympa. Un seul reproche, les services SPA et coiffure donnés par des amateurs."

I was very pleased to notice that it was nicer than it looked from the pictures on the website. Good service, nice pool area, free email service. What I thougt could be improved was the choice of food/menu during breakfast and lunch, and the staff spoke very poor english in the restaurants. Allover a very nice family hotel, and my boyfriend and our 2 year old son enjoyed our stay very much. "

The only thing I would recommend to them is to have an evening shuttle to the other beach towns so you can avoid all the taxis and hassle. Breakfast buffet was nice and the room was great."
