We did a lot of research on Sawadee.com (especially on the travel review pages) before deciding on this hotel. The reviews were right. The hotel is on what I would think is the best developing stretch of beach in Phuket - close to Patong but not too close! The rooms were very good (we had a nice seaview deluxe room), but what struck us most was the excellent service. My 1-year old daughter enjoyed her stay there, and the staff were so nice to her (they even remembered her name). We felt so at home, and it was quite sad that we couldn t stay longer. Or course, that would be a good reason to come back...and back to the same hotel! Thanks to all at Baan Karonburi."

Christine stayed at Baan Karonburi Resort on 04/12/2006 and said,  "Very disappointing, not up to the standard expected for the price. We were put in a superior garden view room when we had booked a de-luxe sea view and told by the manager that the view is the only thing that is different in the rooms. She consequently moved us to another room which had a sea view but it also had a terrible smell of dampness. We were then told it was the only room available and we had no choice but to take it, she then sent the maid to spray with air freshner but as soon as the spray dispersed then the smell came back. The following day we were moved up to the fourth floor with a sea view. The bathroom flooded everytime we used the shower and the hotel seemed a really sad place - even the staff seemed sad. Not a place I would recommend at all. Karon Beach itself is a lovely place."

Transport, by local bus, is right outside, and there is taxi s and tuk yuk rigth next door. The service in the bar/resturant is not the best - but okay. All i all a great place to stay."
