THIBAUT stayed at Krabi La Playa Resort on 07/13/2006 and said, "very nice place to stay
helpful staff
spacious rooms
good location in between the two beaches of Ao Nang
varied breakfast
some disturbance from building sites next door"
Peter stayed at Krabi La Playa Resort on 04/17/2006 and said, "We stayed as a party of four adults in two poolside access rooms. We all agree that we would reccomend and stay there again. Our only criticsm would be the much hyped party night that we attended. it started at 7:00pm and then just as it started to get going, following a few singer beers it finished at 9:00pm.The staff are all very friendly and helpfull, especially Sam and Sandy in the poolbar. The location is not bad, Its a short walk to the beach and nightlife,or if you prefer a two minute tuk tuk. The best beach close by is easy to find, just leave the hotel and walk with the beach on your right, keep going until you hit a row of beachside massage huts, approx 18 in total. we chose number three, they sweep the beach, provide mats and fresh fruit and drinks all day long and give the best massage all for 200 baht each.
There are probably more expensive hotel options in Krabi, but the La Playa is clean, well presented and good value for money."
Victor stayed at Krabi La Playa Resort on 04/16/2006 and said, "Good: Pool is great especially delux A rooms. Service is acceptable but must be improved. Breakfast is reasonably good but small variety.
Bad: Staff can t speak much english. Quite some walking distance to anything. Comfortable if not for too many mosquitoes in room."
G stayed at Krabi La Playa Resort on 04/15/2006 and said, "Our first impressions was that the photos we have seen online etc of the resort raised our expectations too high. The resort was not as stunning as the photos depicted. There is paint chipping and marks on walls, overall it was looking a little run down. The best feature is definately the pool, I would say the best in Krabi. We initially got hurried into a room which I knew was not the one I booked (a pool access A with whirlpool), upon questioning we got told the room I booked (and already paid for) was not available. The next day we moved into the correct room (with some persuasion). Happier we were in the correct room, but we could hear everything through the connecting door to the next room. The breakfast was ok, with alot of leftovers from the night before, but the staff were lovely. The location is good with a short 5-10 min walk to the beach and shops. The fitness centre was just a few machines in a closed off room, not very comfortable at all. The tour group we had looking after our transfers kept getting told by the Reception staff that we had not booked into the hotel so they couldnt contact us, we had to track them down in another resort across the road. We had a look at the other resorts in the area and this one was the only one in a bright, modern style that appeals to us. Even with these few disappointments it grew on us by the end of the 7 days and we were happy with our choice of resort and would stay there again, good value for money overall."
MR stayed at Krabi La Playa Resort on 02/25/2006 and said, "Very clean hotel and rooms. For the money you can t beat this hotel in Ao Nang area. The breakfast is not very good but the rooms, staff and swimming pool are all fantastic. The resort is 5 minutes walking to the front and is at the right end of Ao Nang beach for the long tails. To give you a clue of how highly rated the hotel is, on our last day they were arranging a poolside event for AsiaAirways to celebrate thier new route from Bangkok to Krabi. Overall, a very good value, contempary hotel in a quite location away from the busy front. Highly recommended"
andreas stayed at Krabi La Playa Resort on 02/18/2006 and said, "One of the best hotels in Ao Nang. Some metres to beach but in Ao Nang no hotels are far from beach. Very nice rooms and poolarea. Breakfast very good. Only good value if you get free nights as we got. We stayed 11 nights but paid for 6 in high season and that was a great deal. Recommend you to choose pool deluxe room A. "
Cathrine stayed at Krabi La Playa Resort on 11/07/2005 and said, "Very nice hotel. Big, clean rooms, friendly staff, very nice pool. Stayed in a pool deluxe A room - recommend A and not B. Whirlpool is nothing special, but the pool outside A is much nicer. Pool is big and it is possible to swim in the pool. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it with 2 more days."
Donna stayed at Krabi La Playa Resort on 11/04/2005 and said, "Hotel was excellent. Staff service was great, very friendly & helpful. Room was clean and modern. Pool was lovely and cleaned regularly. Food at restaurant was delicious but a little pricey in comparison to other options in town. Would recommend and stay again."
Burns stayed at Krabi La Playa Resort on 11/01/2005 and said, "Beautiful rooms and nice pool. The staff was very nice and responsive. It was located further from the beach than anticipated (says 150 meters but that s not to where you can lay out, that s to where the long tail boats are). Breakfast was monotonous but good quality."
Debbie stayed at Krabi La Playa Resort on 10/29/2005 and said, "On arrival the hotel was visually a bit of a disspointment compared to other resorts we stayed at on our trip. However the room was large, clean but basic and you could just see the sea! The staff were very friendly but their English was limited. The service stepped up a gear on the 1st Nov, but we could not understand why it was not at the same level for the first days of our stay. The breakfast was basic but met our needs, however if you arrived at 09.50am( it finished at 10.00!) they did not always replenish the food / juice. Food at lunchtime was excellant. We were suprised at the amount of sun beds / umbrella s around the pool area compared to the amount of rooms, at peak seasons it may be beach towels at the ready.....There was building work going on just outside the resort and this could be seen when sun bathing at the pool area, it would be a good idea if they put up a fence to block the noise & view. The Thai massage we had was excellant and great value for money (1 hour for 350BHT). The hotel location was perfect, only a 10 min walk to longtail boats to nearby islands and the main shopping area / eating area. Overall accommodation was not great value for money and i would only stay here again if they had a special price promo on. "
