Nikola stayed at Anantara Resort & Spa on 11/14/2004 and said, "Paradise found! Secluded gardens, lovely restaruants, a spa to die for......The Anantara is a very well maintained, well thought out resort. We had a Superior room (beach facing) and it was only 20m from the sea. We had to have a twin bed rather than a double but seeing as it was twin doubles - not a problem.
The rooms are immaculate, clean and well decorated, the staff incredibly friendly.
One thing about the whole setup which was annoying was that everything is priced and then service charge and a local tax added afterwards which means final amounts are about 20% higher than you first think. It would be much better if all prices were including service and taxes.
The Spa itself is heaven - if a little pricey. A massage that might be 250 baht on the beach will set you back up to 3000 baht here....but at the end of the day - luxury is luxury! The 4 hour Body Symphony session is the most relaxing thing I have done in years!"
Tarryn stayed at Anantara Resort & Spa on 10/12/2004 and said, "We stayed in a deluxe Lagoon Room which was lovely. The grounds were gorgeous & very well maintained. The staff were friendly, efficient & accomodating with our requests. I would recommend the hotel, stay in a lagoon room if possible as they are much more luxurious & secluded. You can have breakfast served on your balcony at no extra cost & there is a pool exclusively for those staying in the lagoon rooms which although not very big is much more relaxing. There is also a fantastic bath big big enough for two with is covered with flower petals every night, very romantic. There is a free shuttle bus to town but you do have to book a place in advance, otherwise taxis charge a flat rate of 100THB & are never in short supply. The Thai restaurant at the hotel was excellent & the breakfast left nothing to be desired. We were supplied with 4 bottles of drinking water free of charge in the morning & evening which is always handy. The one down side was the gym which was small & ill equiped. "
Mrs stayed at Anantara Resort & Spa on 10/10/2004 and said, "The superior lagoon rooms were great, high ceiling, nice decor and a good view of the pond. The resort is nestled amongst lush greenery and landscaping. Will definitely try out Anantara resort in Chiang Mai. "
The stayed at Anantara Resort & Spa on 10/03/2004 and said, "Fabulous! If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in beautiful Thai style, tropical surroundings with five star, friendly service then this is the hotel for you. The beach isn t up to much but the pool certainly makes up for that. We have nothing but praise for the hotel and staff and because we loved it so much we are thinking of returning. A must! "
LIM stayed at Anantara Resort & Spa on 09/23/2004 and said, "Our choice on Anantara is because the tage carrying of Small anb Luxury Hotels. The lagoon room is excellent and the huge bathub is a superb one for relaxation, the balcony is great but the mosquitoes in the evening can kill, they can t do much about this as the whole hotel is surrounded by garden and water. The mosquitoes seemed to be immuned from the smokes from mosquito coils and that had basically minus a little bit of our enjoyment on the BBQ set dinner ( come with a bottle of wine that s truly value for money! ).
We were being treated rudely by a pool attendant and was very annoyed as he seemed not willing to serve Asians. This almost spoil our mood for the whole stay but were handled efficiently when we reported to the front desk officer.
The Mandara Spa was below expectation as our booking was at 6pm and it supposed to be a 2 hours treatment but the therapists was like rushing to go home and finished 15 minutes earlier. The massage was not as good as other Mandara, to position as a resort and spa , the management truly have to look into this matter, the mosquitoes were again the killer for the place.
Our next stay in any Anantara will strongly depend on the reviews from others.
Overall, still a pleasant resort."
Simon stayed at Anantara Resort & Spa on 09/14/2004 and said, "Hotel was fantastic, as the photos show. Food and drink is pricy compared to the town centre (take the free bus). Staff are friendly and can t do enough for you. Beach and sea in Hua Hin is not good, but you can go down the coast for watersports cheap enough. Overall, great hotel and resort if you want to relax, eat and drink."
Yvette stayed at Anantara Resort & Spa on 09/12/2004 and said, "A wonderful traffic resort with friendly & helpful services. The exotic islandlike garden, nicely built pools & peaceful private beachside definitly earn my heart to visit again."
Mr. stayed at Anantara Resort & Spa on 08/17/2004 and said, "extremely excellent to any aspect

although very professional an competent. The rooms are perfect, very intelligently conceived. The gardens are simply magnificent, so well taken care of. I had a wonderfull time. The swimming pool is like in a Holywood tropical Esther William film!"
