Tri Yaan Na Ros Colonial House-Chiang Mai

Sharon stayed at Tri Yaan Na Ros Colonial House on 05/28/2006 and said, "Small boutique hotel with only 8 delightful rooms. Very quaint. Service was excellent. But few things that got to me. 1. Rooms are too dark - you can forget about reading. 2. Mozzies - they re everywhere. Sit at the pretty pool and be prepared to feed them well. 3. Bed is rock hard - some people like it this way I guess but I couldn t sleep for 4 nights... 4. Bed bugs - either that or the mozzies are lethal to cause huge red welts all over my body. 5. Location - you can t walk around. Everywhere is a tuk tuk away. Which costs significantly more than in BKK for the same distance. I wonder why since we re in Chiang Mai..."
MALCOLM stayed at Tri Yaan Na Ros Colonial House on 03/17/2006 and said, "Staff very friendly, approachable and helpful..rooms are compact but with nice decor and very clean. Overall ambience of hotel is very peaceful and personal [only 8 rooms] Nice retreat after a hard day of pounding Chiang Mai s street markets. Highly recommended and value for money. "
Hié stayed at Tri Yaan Na Ros Colonial House on 11/25/2005 and said, "Beautiful and tranquil boutique hotel, with lots of charm. Staff very helpful and friendly. There are only 8 rooms, all decorated in Thai and colonial style. A perfect place for a perfect moment in Chiang Mai. Plus on Saturdays, there is a local market next to the hotel.
Just 3 remarks: just a trickle of water in the shower, problems to set the hot water and not very various and copious breakfast. Dinner should also be proposed. Anyway, we loved it so much that we are planning to go back there next year. "
Joseph stayed at Tri Yaan Na Ros Colonial House on 10/28/2005 and said, "Simply a delightful, wonderful place to stay. The room was as pictured and although a bit smallish, met our expectations for a very comfortable place to stay. A family run Colonial House landscaped so that you feel you re on a tropical island. In addition, free internet was an unexpected bonus. Wonderful gift shop which had prices and products better than we found on the street. Sing Sing was a marvelously gracious hostess.
The staff went far out of their way to make our visit enjoyable: Wonderful breakfasts, helpful attitudes, smiling faces...just a joy to stay there. The location was also exactly what we wanted: Close enough to walking distance to the Walled City along with hiring a Tuk Tuk for an hour for 400 Baht to take us to a couple of Wats.
We ventured on to Samui and then to Bangkok. What we both thought was: Nice....but nothing like our stay at the Tri Yann Na Ros . "
Michelle stayed at Tri Yaan Na Ros Colonial House on 09/17/2005 and said, "The house is very nice, and the rooms are romantic with dimmed lighting (so if you are coming to do work or reading forget it!)
The place is hard to find for taxi drivers because the entry is at the back and they take you down these back streets that initially makes you wonder if you are being abducted!
Also there is a school nearby which you can hear doing the day.
The area is not that nice, you have to walk 300m down the road before there are shops you can buy something at (the ones close by are more industrial).
The breakfast is okay and the orange juice nice and freshly squeezed.
Overall if ambience where you stay is important then great, stay here and go into town and action by taxi. If you prefer action when you step out of your hotel it is not the place for you."
