Mark stayed at Mandarin Hotel on 12/18/2005 and said, "DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL IF YOU HAVE A THAI WIFE/GIRLFREIND STAYING. They are incredibly rude to thai partners. The hotel reception and security were openly hostile - something I have never come across in my many stays in Thailand. In addition the Taxis outside will not pick up non farangs. I was going to book additional stay as the actual hotel itself is ok but their attitude to my wife was so disgusting that I immediately left to go to another hotel."
Alastair stayed at Mandarin Hotel on 03/25/2005 and said, "Nice reception area. Breakfast is also good however some of the rooms are a little tired. Overall I think the hotel is ready for refurbishment although the dining areas are very nice. Good location for the station. Would return if looking for a relatively cheap hotel. Make sure you request a non smoking room if reuired as our initial room was very smoky. Staff however were very helpful."
