Stanley stayed at Gold Orchid Bangkok on 05/18/2006 and said, "I Booked 4 nights of deluxe room in this small hotel. The room is quite small but tidy.Dinner buffet not expensive but not much choice.Buffet breakfast was good. Many group tours while my stay. The hotel cannot provide queen bed to me because they only have two. The shuttle bus service was cancelled but can go to town center about 110 THB by taxi.(same price to airport).Recommand for short stay."
Thomas stayed at Gold Orchid Bangkok on 05/04/2006 and said, "This hotel is very nice and has spacious rooms. The junior suites are excellent furnished with a king size bed, a sofa and a table with two chairs. Although there was a very big cockroach in our bathroom, was the room very clean... ;-)
We stayed in this hotel because we had an early morning-flight the next day. So we had dinner in the hotel restaurant, wich was also very nice. We enjoyed the buffet dinner (you can eat as much you can...) and the quality of the food was very high (thai food, western food, japanese food, desserts).
The hotel is located between center (ex. Sukhumvit) and airport, in walking distance to the BTS station Morchit. To the airport there is a short taxi drive of about 10 minutes. Outside the hotel is nothing special, it is located in a not very interesting part of Bangkok."
Catherine stayed at Gold Orchid Bangkok on 03/04/2006 and said, "good business type hotel"
Robert stayed at Gold Orchid Bangkok on 02/23/2006 and said, "My wife, 3 year old daughter and I originally planned to stay at the Gold Orchid only the first night of our vacation as we were arriving in Bangkok late in the evening and it s convenient to the Airport.
As soon as we arrived and discovered the lovely facilities and charming helpful staff we started booking extra nights, eight in total, and enjoyed every minute of our stay.
Our junior suite was large, clean, very attractively appointed and excellent value.
The included breakfast buffet was vast, delicious and very pleasantly served by wonderful people.
During our stay we used the lovely roof-top pool and fitness room. Sent and received email at the convenient and well equipped business center. And thoroughly enjoyed several wonderful massages, oil and Thai style. I d highly reccommend asking for Lek . She s has a warm personality and an experts touch.
From the front desk to the laundry staff ( who by the way, immediately returned a sum of money to me they d discovered, that I d forgotten in a pocket ) every employee was first rate. Catherine at the reception desk made my little girl feel like a actual princess and will long remain in her memories of Thailand.
To us, the Gold Orchid was an absolute highlight of our stay in Bangkok. We highly reccommend it. We just arrived home yesterday and can hardly wait to go back.
Our sincere thanks to all. "
guest stayed at Gold Orchid Bangkok on 02/18/2006 and said, "basically, the hotel is bright and clean, the pool is good, and the gym is small but well equipped. The location is not that good, not many Taxi driver knows how to go even u give them the address because the hotel is right under the tollway, everytime u go to the hotel, u need to make a U turn from another side of the road. it is close to chatuchak (the weekend market) and airport. "
Erin stayed at Gold Orchid Bangkok on 01/06/2006 and said, "My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by this place. We stayed here for 5 nights. The beds are nice and big, the rooms spacious and clean, and the staff is very friendly. Very much like a nice Comfort Inn or something in the States. The breakfast was nice, not like the best food you ve ever eaten, but lots of variety. It is a little bit away from the main tourist/shopping areas, but it s a very short cab ride away from both the airport and the Skytrain, which is both cheaper and more convenient for getting through rush hour traffic than taxis. One thing- don t spend the extra money on the Gold Orchid Club rooms- the deluxe rooms are exactly the same except they have a couple fewer bottles of alcohol in the mini bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel!"
